A solid 9-5

After another week of predictions, the top four spots remain unchanged. Zangetsu has nabbed a slim 1-game lead over Stallion, but as we've seen so far a single bad week can be devastating. Echo. and Shinryu, due to back-to-back strong weeks, have added themselves to a now 5-way tie for second place, nipping at Zangetsu's heels. In other unusual news, early favorites Fabbles and CaptKirby have missed a week and dropped into the lower spots of the standings. Plenty of weeks left to go though, and they could still very easily contend by season's end. In addition, Alan has finally lifted himself out of last place, and is looking to overtake a slumping tad38 in his slow climb up the ladder. Da Letter El and coolking49 have climbed as well, bringing themselves into the largely unchanged middle of the pack. YoshiX and I continued our Jeckyl-Hyde approach to predictions, posting less than stellar numbers after a solid Week 6. On another note, Shinryu posted the only double-digit win total this week. Finally, Slyguy46 posted his fourth 8-6 week in a row, earning the Consistency Award.

Will anyone be able to sneak into that seemingly impenetrable Top Four? Will Alan, coolking49, and Da Letter El continue their ascent and prove that slow and steady wins the race? Will Fabbles and CaptKirby be able to recover from that devastating missed week? Will tad38 ever be a happy football fan again? Will Zangetsu begin to separate himself, or is he doomed to fall? The plot thickens and will continue...next week!

Buffalo vs Kansas City - I know I picked Buffaro to beat the Ravens, but meh.
Green Bay vs New York Jets - Still think the Jets are overrated.
Denver vs San Francisco - What hurts more, losing 59-14 to the Raiders or losing by 3 to the Panthers?
Jacksonville vs Dallas - Kitna will be good enough to pull them through Jax.
Carolina vs St Louis - Carolina still has too many problems.
Cincinnati vs Miami - If Miami plays as hard as they did when they played the Steelers, they got this.
Washington vs Detroit - Flashbacks from last year...lol
Tennessee vs San Diego - Poor San Diego. Poor poor San Diego.
Tampa Bay vs Arizona - Can't believe people actually thought Max Hall would do well...
Minnesota vs New England - Not that they'd win even WITH Favre.
Seattle vs Oakland - Fluuuuuuuuuuke

Another really iffy week for me.

New England vs. Minnesota will be great to watch. Most people think San Diego will take down Tennessee. As much as I want Oakland to win, I think Seattle still has the advantage there. And in the hardest pick for me, I think New Orleans' game against Cinci was a fluke. They're home, too.

I think that I'll either get a lead on the other people in 2nd place this week, or fall massively behind.

Edit: Changed NYJ vs. GB but before it started, so I think that's cool.

Another 8-6 week. This is becoming a pattern ... that desperately needs to be broken in order to start getting ahead.

Cleveland vs New Orleans
Pittsburgh vs Miami
Washington vs Chicago
Cincinnati vs Atlanta
Philadelphia vs Tennessee
San Francisco vs Carolina
St. Louis vs Tampa Bay
Buffalo vs Baltimore
Jacksonville vs Kansas City
Arizona vs Seattle
Oakland vs Denver
New England vs San Diego
Minnesota vs Green Bay
New York Giants vs Dallas
Quoted for truth. I can't seem to break the pattern of 8-6 weeks. ... at least I got an award for it. ^_^

Buffalo vs Kansas City
Green Bay vs New York Jets
Denver vs San Francisco
Jacksonville vs Dallas
Carolina vs St Louis
Cincinnati vs Miami
Washington vs Detroit
Tennessee vs San Diego
Tampa Bay vs Arizona
Minnesota vs New England
Seattle vs Oakland
Pittsburgh vs New Orleans
Houston vs Indianapolis

Well, lets get started here. KC vs. Buffalo is close, and I might change it a few times during the week, but I still can't accept Buffalo as an actual team. Jets to win, they're the best team in the AFC right now and they're against a wounded GB. Denver recovers from bad week, and puts on a good show in Jolly Old London. Jacksonville can beat a wounded Dallas, especially without they're QB. St. Louis is continuing to be an enigma, but I'll trust them for now. Miami can beat a Cinci that isn't working well. Washington continues to do well, while Detroit continues to ... be Detroit. Tennessee proves that Kenny Britt is an actual threat against the worst Chargers team in years. Tampa "the best of the NFC (lol)" Bay can beat a team without a QB, and the Pats continue to win (and hopefully put Favre to rest). Seattle/Oakland is close, edging Oakland right now. Pittsburgh will do good against a weakened Saints, and the Colts get revenge for ealier in the season.

Seattle vs Oakland
Pittsburgh vs New Orleans
Houston vs Indianapolis

Dolphins at Bengals

Jaguars at Cowboys

Redskins at Lions - People are so enamored with Hall's four interceptions that they think this secondary is legit. Sorry, it's not. In fact, the Redskins are on pace to give up the most passing yards in the entire history of the National Football League. The Lions defense still sucks, but they have shown to be opportunistic at times, and McNabb has been erratic this year.

Bills at Chiefs - Congrats to the Bills for putting up a fight against the Ravens in Baltimore, but Kansas City is even harder to play at.
Panthers at Rams -
Packers at Jets

Broncos at 49ers

Titans at Chargers

Seahawks at Raiders

Vikings at Patriots - Brady is going to have a field day. The Vikings' pass rush has been a major disappointment this year and the secondary is a complete mess now that Griffin is on injured reserve. The Patriots' young defense will continue to grow as they get to take advantage of the corpse that is Brett Favre.

Buccaneers
at Cardinals - Ken Whisenhunt is a damn good coach and deserves some coach of the year nominations. This Cardinals team is awful, just awful, yet they're 3-3.

Steelers at Saints - The only way the Steelers win is if the referees bail them out again. However, the people of New Orleans would hunt them down the refs if that were to happen.

Texans at Colts

Buffalo vs Kansas City
Green Bay vs New York Jets
Denver vs San Francisco
Jacksonville vs Dallas
Carolina vs St Louis
Cincinnati vs Miami
Washington vs Detroit
Tennessee vs San Diego
Tampa Bay vs Arizona
Minnesota vs New England
Seattle vs Oakland
Pittsburgh vs New Orleans
Houston vs Indianapolis

something like that

Buffalo vs Kansas City
Green Bay vs New York Jets
Denver vs San Francisco
Jacksonville vs Dallas
Carolina vs St Louis
Cincinnati vs Miami
Washington vs Detroit
Tennessee vs San Diego
Tampa Bay vs Arizona
Minnesota vs New England
Seattle vs Oakland
Pittsburgh vs New Orleans
Houston vs Indianapolis

i'll probably change my Houston pick and stop being a homer

Despite their troubles, the Saints are easily better than the buccaneers. In addition, the Falcons, Giants, and Eagles are better as well. The Packers are better when healthy. Sorry Polis, Tampa Bay isn't that good this year. They'll be good in years to come, but not right away. Their young team still needs to mature a bit as a unit.

The Saints are terribly inconsistent, but I guess they did beat the Bucs. They did lose to the Browns though, lol (whom the Bucs beat). The Falcons are probably better, the Giants might be better (if they continue to play the way they have been playing lately), and I think the Eagles are pretty inconsistent as well. The Packers are pretty poop this year, they almost lost to the second worst team in the NFC (the Vikings) and the worst (the Lions). It's certainly not as farfetched of a statement as Slyguy was making it out to be. The Bucs are 71098245897 times better than they were last year, that's for certain.

Okay, I was a bit hasty in my judgment of the Vikings, as the Panthers and 49ers are probably worse than them too. The Cowboys seem to be worse but definitely have more talent. It is pretty hard to argue that the Vikings are absolute shit though!
