Well I was hoping for Zero Mission but I guess we won't be getting that now that we're gettig the original Metroid. I'm also surprised they didn't give us Kid Icarus what with the new one supposed to be coming that soon.

Other than that, I'm happy with the list. I've never been able to play the original Zelda and Zelda II, and it'll be cool to play the original Metroid (haven't played that either) and Super Mario Bros. (I've only played the all-stars version).

Hoping Zelda: Minish Cap is one of the unmentioned GBA games

Zelda II is not that bad (i love it actually, but i'm aware it might be hated by some).

Even Ice Climber is alright, but not choosing Kid Icarus over fucking Wrecking Crew is a questionable decision, there are many NES games that could been choosen over that game.

I might be taking it too seriously, but if anyone has played Wrecking Crew they would know it's not a classic, and it's just terrible. Yes even as a compensation gift.

spilled some shit on my 3ds as i was downloading my stuff like a retard, fucked up my system and everything is stuck permanently going to the right now

called nintendo about it and got my free warranty repairs, im still subject to pay fees if they find signs of water damage, im hoping their checking team isnt too thorough/the water damage isnt too bad so i can get some free repairs

they should be able to save the system but if they can't, there goes my fucking gba games, im pissed as hell

(not to mention that I couldn't take off the back to get my battery out and let it dry, you couldn't stick a fly's cock in one of those screw heads let alone a screwdriver)

SO IT TURNS OUT THIS THING WAS REAL AFTER ALL

NOTE: it's an attachment, not a new console

It really seems unwieldy. I can't imagine using both joysticks in conjunction with the buttons/touch screen. Way too much going on at the same time lol.

I've thought about picking up MH Tri multiple times - it's never stocked and they don't receive any copies at my local GameStop. Sad, really.

Will probably not be buying this attachment though, it seems that it will get in the way of my button mashing prowess...

hahahah i am loving my new 3ds and all but that attachment looks like a fucking jokezord

It's obvious that you're only ever going to use both joysticks at the same time in an FPS game.

Regardless, seconding #az's assertion that it looks really bulky and stupid... hopefully they make it look less... clunky before the release.

Is it bad that I would actually use it if it would attach and be used on the back of the 3DS?
You have fingers to be able to use it back there, and it wouldn't be in the way of any of the other triggers/analogs/buttons.

decided I am going to get a 3ds, but not until christmas when I have a ~valid~ excuse to treat myself.

At this point I'm only concerned with getting OoT! but, that's mostly due to lack of research as to what games are available for the 3ds, but I'm sure I'll look into that once it actually gets closer to purchasing time. black or bust.

so basically, redesign with second analog for next year confirmed ._.

Stick your 3DS in rice for a day.

Worked for some of my friends' phones at least.

Edit: If it's been a week it's probably too late nvm x.x

I'm in pretty much an identical boat.

I'm avoiding purchasing one until a) more games than OoT come out that I'm interested in getting, and b) when I get a lucrative graduate job at last and use all my ill-gotten gains to treat myself with one. Also with lots of lego.

I dont know how to feel about this
On one hand, I'm sure Nintendo knows what they're doing, they wouldn't make this unless they had plans for it. If Revelations is going to use this it will be great, and there are Im sure many games that could take advantage of it. I also know that it wont be required for most games and that I dont have to buy it. I was doubtful about Nintendos decisions with the Wii and DSI, but they turned out great, so there's a good chance this will be fine.

And yet......

First of all it looks ugly. Really really ugly. I hope they put in a redesign before its released, because its just bulky and gaingly. Second, it seems a bit uneccesary. I think most people who bought a 3ds bought it for platformers, RPGs, and the like, not FPSs, so this seems a little frivolous. Unless it also does something else big, like increase battery life (It looks like it would plug into the charging slot, or else into the game-slot and it would have another attached to it) then I don't see it being a big hit outside of Japan with M3GS.
And most importantly, it provides a big reason to doubt Nintendo's strategy, what with including something as big as a second analog stick as a periphrial. And while there will be some like myself who don't mind when we get it as long as we do, there are going to be many who take this as a sign that Nintendo "Doesn't know what they're doing" and drop their support, which Nintendo needs a lot of right now. The price drop and Ambassador program were both I think great ways of dealing with things, so I suppose we'll have to see how this goes.

rofl that 'enhancement' looks fucking atrocious, it reminds me of the 32X

It's just what i thought!

I'm not eager to get a 3DS for now, i feel less interested with this. Maybe I will wait for it to get some games and what happens with that piece of cheap plastic attachment.

I dont see what's the big deal with the attachment. Sure, it looks ugly, but no one is forced to buy or use that. That shouldn't be an excuse to hate on the 3DS

Much in the same way nobody is forced to buy a Wii motion remote to play the next Zelda game right?
