Chemistry - You Are a Weapon

Local band that broke up recently, haven't listened to them much cause I couldn't
find them anywhere, then I found that my brother has a CD, so I snagged it...

Shit, didn't know the album came out already. I gotta get my hands on this one. Didn't bother with split album but since it's been credited as great too, I might want to get that one too.

Escape Pod For Intangibles by Hopesfall

One of the best hardcore bands out there because they mix their hardcore with space rock. I mean, how awesome is that? The space rock breakdowns between crashing drums and loud vocals make me want to melt. This track is just plain space rock though, which is also cool because when a band can do two genres well, it makes them a lot more approachable. The Satellite Years has grown to be one of my favorite albums I've listened to in the past few months.
Yeah it leaked a few days ago. It's good, definitely get it if you can. The only thing is the album I got is a transcode so it's kind of bad quality, but apparently they have it in 320 kbps too.

And I love Hopesfall. I just got done listening to The Satellite Years like 5 minutes ago. Good stuff.

np: Poison the Well - Turn Down Elliot

I like them a lot. It's cool how they have instrumental sections in their songs. It makes it a lot more interesting.

Meh, I suppose I could just wait for a date closer to the actual release date and get myself a decent version of the album.

Also, Poison The Well is downright outstanding. I simply love their drummer and the Opposite Of December is a superb hardcore album. Though, after that, it seems like the drummer lost his left foot or something.

Don't Stop by innerpartysystem

The fucking best electronic rock band out there. Their songs are so catchy, yet somehow powerful. I'm sort of in a loss for words.

yeah, I actually am.

10/10

I'm sure you can find a high quality version. It doesn't come out for another month or so anyway. And yeah they are. I only have Tear From the Red so I can't compare it but I'm just downloaded the Opposite of December so I'll give it a listen. You have an awesome taste of music though. Do you have a last.fm?

Benighted - Forsaken

This band is fucking crazy. I love pretty much everything about them. Their vocals are definitely unique, their guitar and breakdowns are great and pretty much everything about them is awesome. Awesome death metal for people who aren't into death metal.

Paranoid Android - Radiohead

Truly amazing song. I always discover new things about it through each listen.

Funny story is that my history teacher in 10th grade introduced me (and the class) to this song and Radiohead.

Song of Zarathustra - Tame

Hardcore punk cover of a Pixies song. It works.

got hips like cinderella!
Must be having a good shame!
talking sweet about nothing!
cookie, I think you're...
TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME

Death From Above 1979 - Do it!

Lately I found myself listening to these guys' Heads Up EP, which is unbelievably amazing. Definitely worth checking out if you're into Dance punk.

Dog Fashion Disco - Antiquity's Small Rewards

Fantastic avant-garde metal. This is the shit.

good band, shame they broke up though

the label sent me their last compilation album to review though ain't that cool

Anathema - Pulled Under At 2000 Metres a Second

<33333333

freedom is only a hallucination
that waits at the edge of the distant horizon
we are all strangers in global illusions
wanting and needing impossible heaven

Heh, thanks. And yeah, I do: DistantEchoes

A Simple Way To Go Faster Than Light by Tortoise

Some weird shit, or so to speak. They sort of combine ambient, dub and post-rock, which actually works to an extent. I've always wanted to get into this band more but all I've done so far has been downloading TNT. I suck. :(

7/10

edit: also, altmer, I just found out yesterday that Deep by Anathema is fucking brilliant.

They opened with Deep when I saw them.

Was a highlight. I'm a bit too much in love with Anathema though...

Mogwai - I Know You Are But What Am I?

I love this song. The piano is so pretty and atmospheric.

Echo, I sent you a friend request.

Talib Kweli - Broken Glass

I don't listen to that much rap but this guy's pretty good. I really like his flow he usually has a nice beat too. I'm not really into the rnb aspect of his music though.

Hawkwind - Master of the Universe

Brilliant space rock. The version on their Space Ritual album blows many metal acts out of the water in terms of sheer heaviness.

Combination by Aerosmith

Weird that my favorite song on the Rocks album has Steven Tyler doing the back up vocals while Joe Perry is doing the lead.

Tosca - Boss On The Boat

I love this. I don't even know what genre this is but I'd describe them as really chill electronica. The melody and the beat are both really relaxing. This is definitely the kind of music you'd wanna go to sleep to. I think I like Thievery Corporation more though.

edit: 3000th post. Awesome.
