I'll probably be unable to test this set, so if others want to then by all means go for it. It's a variation of one of the sets in this Pokemon's analysis, and I based it around SubPetaya Empoleon.

Beedrill @Liechi Berry
Swarm | Adamant | 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
~ Substitute
~ Agility
~ X-Scissor
~ Brick Break/Pursuit

If you know how SubPetaya Empoleon works, you know how this works. Luckily, 4 HP EVs is all it takes for Beedrill to get HP divisible by 4, which is convenient. Anyone know if this would be good from a theorymon point of view? Or would it be outclassed by something else?

SubSalac+Flail Pinsir.

why would pursuit even be an option on something that is mean to sweep?

SubSalac+Flail Pinsir.

Too much priority in the teir for this to be effective, IMO. Medicham and Skuntank alone, being commonly used pokemon are enough reason to not run SubSalac in NU, and with the high attacking stats, you can't expect your Sub to actually take a hit.

Unless you're running + Speed, + Speed Scarf Magmortar will revenge kill you. I don't know how many +Speed Scarfmortars are around, but the fact that Scarf Maggies are common might push a few to run +Speed.

So now we can use Magneton, Espeon, Miltank, Typhlosion and Gardevoir...

Espeon will be so broken here... Skuntank will be a need on almost any team now(and Espeon can get the hell out of Pursuits with Baton Pass...)
Typhlosion will be a "crappier" Charizard, but with Eruption.
Dunno about the others.

Magneton, Electrode, Gardevoir and Typhlosion have all been NU before anyway.

But the Leafeon, Nidoqueen, etc. leaving is also a huge change.

Oh yeah, Leafeon... now it's basically only Meganium(and some Bellossom here and there) as a bulky pure grass type.
DD Whiscash now is even better.

Espeon will be a force to be reckoned, or will be nothing special in your opinion?

Espeon is going to be absolutely amazing imo. It outpaces almost everything in the tier and packs a whopping base 130 SpA. It's Psychic hits as hard as Latios's would.

Damnit Typhlosion went to NU. Get raped NU boys.

On the BRIGHT side, I get to use
Typhlosion
Porygon 2
Raichu

ALL IN THE SAME TIER. (Among my favorite pokes)

Typhlosion will be a "crappier" Charizard, but with Eruption.

HAHAHA, to bad I didn't go to NU first. To bad I don't an AWFUL type choice and take 4X damage from SR.

I guess there's Vileplume too.

Unfortunately Grass/Poison type. However I remember using Vileplume in old UU and she was really good.

Espeon, Typhlosion, Electrode for offensive RD teams... offence right now totally will dominate NU as even semi-stall teams without Cloyster/Qwilfish are now as good as dead. In Ubers it's still possible to play in defensive way - in NU I just don't see it. I never expected seeing more offensive tier then Ubers (I don't count Little Cup, I meant only 100 level tiers). Oh well, everything is possible I guess :).

I guess there's Vileplume too.

Vileplume is part poison, not pure grass type. I guess it can take a DD Earthquake from Whiscash though, and most if not all Vileplumes are bulky ones

Anyways, Espeon will be so damn good(i think it will be broken) it's not even funny. Third fastest poke in the tier, with the highest special attack. ouch.

Electrode, SR user, Slowking, Espeon, Magmortar/Charizard/Typhlosion, Medicham, Skuntank

Pick 6 from the above list. That is what every NU team will be like now. The bolded are required on every team, with Slowking being the most important.

Welcome to NU. I hope you enjoy your stay.

IME (on wifi mind you)... NU isn't like that at all. People are actually... creative. They want to beat you with the most embarrasing/their favorite pokes.

JME though... it doesnt seem like shoddy ou where its WIN WIN WIN!! with the same pokes on every team

my lead actually beats electrode 1v1 unless i get min damage 2x in a row

I like the sound of that LOL.

1: I do not see how Espeon is required on every team
2: Floatzel is no longer the fastest lead... but it's still fastest Taunt user!
3: Electrode might see use outside of the lead position. In fact, due to few effective Rain Dance abusers, Electrode might see a similar use to Jolteon in OU. A Specs Revenge killer.
4: Typhosion would be a superior Entei. It plays a different role to Mag/Charizard. And, if it's inferior, why did it take longer to drop?
5: People could use Ninetails.

This means I'll be taking a break until the ladder is updated.

As for Semi-Stall, Gardevoir has returned, and Militank is here. Milktank is basically our Skarmory. Despite our high number of fighting types, Milkitank has digh defence, high HP, lack of weaknesses, and Milk Drink, reliable recovery.

That's just my quick overveiw. Expect more in-depth later.

Uh Electrode gets Taunt you realize.

Also I'm quite surprised Miltank went down, I was seeing quite a few of them when I was laddering UU. It'll be quite the beast methinks, it's very bulky and fast to boot. Milk Drink just makes it look better and better.

Hehe, I might do some wifi battles with NU now =). I didn't have a lot of NU pokes but now with the tier changes I'll have 4/5 more pokes to use XD. =D

I liked using typhlosion in UU so I guess it'll be on my team in NU. It also doesn't have the 4x weakess to stealth rock that Charizard has.

Electrode may get Taunt, but it's use if it's a Taunt lead-minus Rain Dance is somewhat limitied. Especially seeing as Gligar is a popular lead, and Electrode would have to explode, or use HP Ice, to take it out.

I don't know an awful lot about Electrode, because I've not played UU. Still, I'm more worried about Specs Electrode, considering it's the fastest thing in the teir by far now.

Although... it does mess up my Floatzel lead to some degree.

Sorry if this is the wrong place but where do we currently play NU battles, is it on the CAP server on the NU ladder there?
