Sticky Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

Actually, I find Dusknoir getting a Mega almost perfect.
XY gave us two version exclusive Megas from RSE - the Ruby-exclusive Mawile and the semi-Sapphire exclusive Banette.
Considering they gave Mawile's Sapphire-exclusive counterpart Sableye a Mega, and really they'd want to keep OR owners, on equal grounds with AS owners, it just makes sense to me that they'd give the Sapphire-'exclusive' Banette's Ruby-'exclusive' counterpart Dusknoir a Mega.
I know the whole "fairness" argument usually doesn't apply to Megas, but... it sure as heck always applies to paired versions.

But yeah, I'm not sure what giving Dusknoir a Mega would accomplish. it's three biggest downfalls are lack of recovery, lack of HP and it's outclassed by Dusclops. I can see the third being overcome, but... that doesn't really make it that great.
Ah, I see. But just wondering, doesn't Eviolite Dusclops accomplish the same task, or is it basically useless/bad? Just out of curiosity is all. See, my reasoning for that is if Dusknoir/clops accomplishes the role (albeit I'm not sure as to what extent, though I haven't been hearing too many good things about them as of late) of being a bulky ghost, then would a mega for them be pointless, or would it further enhance their bulky capabilities? If it turns out to bet he latter, then that's great! I can only hope it isn't the former.
What if the mega got regenerator? I really just loveDusknoir and hate that eviolite Duscraps basically outclassed it

how to make Dusknoir better? Simple, make it offensive.

There's no point making dusknoir a defensive mega unless you give it leech seed to abuse it's incredibly bad HP stat (See gourgeist), and the likelihood of that happening? Zero, and Mega evo's don't increase the HP stat, so I don't see regenerator actually helping (though regenerator + leech seed would be <3)

It has a respectable movepool but its offensive stats are 100/65/45.

Increase his attack stat, give him a little bit more bulk, and a good offensive ability like sheer force, iron fist, or huge power and he could actually be really good combined with the fact that he learns trick room himself

Mart being seperated from Center
Yay or Nay

Does anyone care?

It will probably take 20 seconds tops to walk/cycle/whatever between the two buildings...

Plus, it is a remake. What did people expect?

Problem with that is, it's best physical STAB is outpowered by it's non-STAB earthquake. So. Yeah.

I should apologise as I am addressing a subject which came up around 20 pages ago, but I wasn't online back then.
When I first heard the mega sableye description, my knee jerk reaction was that its ability would either be an isoform of fur coat, or perhaps an extreme case of this, where physical moves (or contact moves) simply do no damage whatsoever. When contrasting with Mawile, this seems somewhat comparable to pure power. I think fur coat is not on pure power's level however (especially because we're going from prankster) - so I wouldn't be too surprised to see immunity to physical moves, which would certainly be interesting but probably not to the point of just breaking the metagame.

Furthermore, from a sales POV I would expect to see something to more strongly contrast the games. We saw differences in mega stones between X and Y, and it seems like a natural counterpoint going forward.

So, running with this (and already accounting for mawile and sableye) - Ludicolo, Shiftry; Zangoose, Seviper and Lunatone, Solrock - I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one of those pairs to get megas. The big one is obviously Latios/Latias.
Alternatively, we could see further deviation from the standard games, or simply a discontinuity between pokemon availability and mega stone availability in-game, which would probably mean expanding to more natural differences (Camerupt, Sharpedo seems most obvious there). Omega/Alpha stones could also prop up like X/Y stones - the most prominent candidate there probably being Rayquaza. But perhaps we could also see something regi-themed.

The confirmation (basically) of secret bases is quite big - I wouldn't be surprised if there are version differences which are expanded upon there.

A trick room verson of drizzle would be one of the only things to make dusknoir decent (or stance change to become UU aegislash.

I remember serebii posting at the beginning of the month there would something related to ORAS showed on today's (06/15) PokémonGetTV. Yet I see no one commenting it, not even serebii. I wasn't expecting anything new or interesting, just maybe a trailer or more screenshots. To be honest, even they just showed a trailer or whatever that has already been revealed, that would've warranted a mention somewhere, wouldn't it?

Yeah, kind of odd... maybe they got the date wrong or everyone somehow forgot?

They (apparently) merely recapped what we already knew from Corocoro, i.e. nothing new like usual and not enough to warrant a mention. GetTV or whatever incarnation they are in never tend to reveal anything new anyway. 99% of the time they recap what we already know like a Corocoro rehash for example.

One thing I'd like to bring up: Postgame areas.

Arguably, Emerald was the first game to introduce new places you could travel to after having cleared the main story. A place to do sidequests, where you could find rare and exotic Pokémon. The Battle Frontier was awesome, but kind of small by today's standards (it was certainly dwarfed by the Battle Zone of Sinnoh, or that western half of Unova, though XY has also been lacking in this respect).

Other remakes have been adding postgame areas too, not present in the original games. FRLG added the Sevii Islands, whereas HGSS expanded on Kanto. I wonder if there will be new postgame areas in Hoenn, and if so, where? Are they obscured by clouds in the recently released artwork, or hiding in plain sight? Or are they off the map altogether?

Personally, I think the a-shaped island in the extreme southwest might be a contender. It looks like the only entrance to the place is via Dive, going into the lake soutwest on the island. East of Cycling Road is another island that could also be a contender. Both appear to have things going on on them, unlike, say, the land mass south of Pacifidlog. There also seem to be a building of sorts northwest of the Safari Zone, which I can't recall seeing there in the originals.

What do you think?

Personally, I'm hoping they bring back Navel Rock/Birth Island/Faraway Island again (and even better would be the rest of the Sevii Islands). None of the legends that made their home on those islands have been obtainable yet in Generation VI, and it would add more sidequests to keep the player busy after beating the E4. Sevii Islands probably won't be included, but as I've said before in this thread, they have the same tropical feel as the rest of the Hoenn, and they were sort of included in Emerald (Navel Rock and Birth Island are in the same location as the Sevii Islands, and again, it gives more post-E4 content that's somewhat fun.

Sure, while we're at it, why don't we add the Battle, Resort and Survival areas to BW's aftergame?

... what?
Well, it's quite simple. Sevii Islands were FRLG's aftergame, it's own unique thing, but you're okay with putting them in ORAS' aftergame. So by the same logic, is there any problem with putting DPPt's aftergame of Battle, Survival and Resort Areas in BW's aftergame?

I don't think that really applies since Emerald shared (event-only) islands with FRLG. They're clearly supposed to be close-by. . .

Not necessarily. Is the distance between Hoenn and these islands ever stated?
I think it's also pretty clearly obvious that they never done this for any story reason; it was just so people with the newer game could get the events to the awesome legendaries FRLG had.
