the (pretty obvious) winner is double dance landorus-t! this is the pokemon we will base our team around, so the team moving forward should patch up weaknesses it brings to the table. we'll now move onto the second submission period. you have between now and friday (1/29) night to submit pokemon!

Dr Ciel

Banned deucer.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball / Power Whip
- Power Whip / Protect / Thunder Wave

Ferrothorn is an excellent partner to Dual Dance Landorus-T, as it handles the Water types that threaten Landorus, such as Azumarill, Manaphy, and Slowbro while also taking out common Ice types, mainly Kyurem-Black and Weavile. Ferrothorn can also provide vital Stealth Rock support, allowing Landorus-T to rack up more KOs. In return, Landorus-T can set up on or eliminate common Fire types that trouble Ferrothorn.

Serperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 48 HP / 208 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Dragon Pulse
- Glare

An offensive grass to soften up waters and grounds that annoy Lando-T while providing speed control through Glare. Pretty basic set / idea.

Reserving NP Thundy

Thundurus @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]/Grass Knot
- Focus Blast

Standard set, HP Ice and TBolt alone can hit most of Lando's checks/counters, either weakening them or outright OHKOing them including Rotom-W, Gliscor, Slowbro and Skarm.

Another option that me and Team Pokepals toyed with was the idea of spike stacking, which can pressure some of mons that wld otherwise be able to switch in and avoid the 2HKO from EPlate Lando.

Please, let's not make this a balanced team, yes?

Breloom @ Fist Plate
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Mach Punch
- Spore
- Bullet Seed
- Swords Dance

Nice partner here. Weakens bulky waters and grounds while also being able to check Weavile and Bisharp for it through Mach Punch. Spore is nice to as it gives either one of them more setup opportunities.

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Pursuit
- Ice Punch

I think we need 2 things: a reliable way to deal with the Latis, because if you set up an SD, they are going to kill with Draco and if you setup a RP, Stone edge is going to do crap. This kind of situation could happen against many mons, like Keldeo for example, but it is pressured more by the fear of EQ. Secondly we need something to pressure Lando that, tbh, I saw some lando with hp ice on the ladder to lure opposing lando. MMetagross has the ability to successfully trap the Lati and to pressure opposing Lando-T with Ice Punch which I think it's important here. Yes, Pay attention to Weavile then.

Infernal

Banned deucer.

Weavile @ Life Orb
Ability: Pickpocket
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Pursuit or Poison Jab or Low Kick

I like Weavile as a partner for its ability to soften up many of the Pokemon that Lando-T needs weakened before attempting a sweep. The main ones I have in mind are Skarm, Rotom-W, and Keldeo. Skarm is often pressured by Weavile and has its Leftovers removed by Knock Off. This makes it that much easier for Lando-T to kill off later on. Rotom-W is a Pokemon that players commonly use as a response to Weavile and like Skarm, it doesn't enjoy having Leftovers removed. This prior damage is usually enough to bring Rotom-W down to a range where +2 Stone Edge kills. Although EQ hurts Keldeo, it's still an important Pokemon to mention because at full health it can take a non-boosted EQ from a +2 speed Landorus-T and kill back. Some prior damage is all you need for EQ to kill, and there are very few Pokemon that do a better job of forcing Keldeo to take damage than Weavile. Everything said also works both ways, as Lando-T can weaken all of the mentioned Pokemon for Weavile to clean up later.

As mentioned by others, pressuring bulky grounds is also important because Lando-T can have a hard time breaking them without a SD. That's another area Weavile helps, threatening the likes of Gliscor and opposing Lando-T with STAB Icicle Crash. Weavile can pressure troublesome bulky water types like Slowbro and potentially trap EQ immune Pokemon like Latios, who can take a Stone Edge and kill Lando-T with Draco. The last slot is flexible and options other than Pursuit can be used depending on team needs. Lando-T + Weavile makes Azumarill scary, which is why Poison Jab could be useful. Low Kick is plausible should the team need something to damage Bisharp, Ferrothorn, and opposing Weavile harder. Overall, these two are a good offensive tag team. Ground + Ice + Dark is crazy good coverage and gives the team plenty of offensive presence right off the bat.
