Rules

• Every cycle, a Pokémon will be picked as subject and people should post teammates they think complement the current Pokémon well enough.​
• You must include a set and a description.​
• Please limit teammates to Pokémon ranked in the Viability Rankings thread, which can be found here.​
• You can reserve a Pokémon, but if your post isn't finished 24 hours after the reservation, anyone can take whatever you reserved.​
• You can't submit a teammate more than once per round.​
• Unlike the previous version, there will be no voting: the project aims to be something like archive which helps builders choose teammates for various Pokemon.​
• The cycle will last for 5-6 days; after them, the new cycle begins.​

Swords Dance Gliscor is seeing a ton of usage on SSD now and for good reasons: it gives balances nice defensive utility, amazing Toxapex abuser, and a bulky win condition which is really difficult to stop once its counters like Celesteela and Skarmory are removed. Ok, let's have a great start of this project; post allies to SD Gliscor here guys!

I'm not sure why everyone's saying Gliscor loses to Celesteela; this battle's filled with a bunch of memes, but it showcases how Gliscor beats Celesteela fairly well.

Moving on, Mega Tyranitar's an excellent partner for Gliscor. Many teams rely on Mega Latias to consistently check Gliscor right now, and Mega Tyranitar obviously has an easy time trapping it.

• Gliscor checks some of Mega Scizor's biggest counters, including Heatran, Toxapex, and Zapdos.
• Mega Scizor deals with Grass-types, Mega Lati@s, and Ice-types for Gliscor, and it can use Knock Off on shared checks like Celesteela/Rotom-W so that Gliscor has an easier time breaking through them.

Gliscor is great, but it's stopped cold by the Steel/Flying duo. That's where Magnezone comes in. It can trap and eliminate them thanks to Magnet Pull and its strong Electric attacks.

This is just the standard Sub + Z Magnezone set. Sub cucks any Celesteela that goes for Protect or Leech Seed, while Electrium + a modest nature allows Zone to OKHO the bamboo rocket thing.

Greninja and Gliscor annoy balance quite a bit, but there’s to it than that. The obvious appeal here is Spikes, which both mons love. Greninja also weakens lots of Gliscor checks, like the Latis, Steela, Rotom and Bro. Greninja’s high Speed also lets it catch mons like Synth Kart and Garchomp, giving Gliscor an easier time against offense. This Greninja set is hardwalled by Toxapex, but Gliscor just sets up on it, Tran and Koko.

Last Cycle's Analysis

Highlights
: Mega Scizor forms a really potent Swords Dance spam core with Gliscor: together they can break past common defensive cores while also defensively covering notable threats like Heatran and Mega Alakazam. These two require Spikes support in order to function best, though.
: great offensive Spike setter for Gliscor that can also lure in stuff like Toxapex for Gliscor. Also I'd prefer having Hidden Power Fire on Greninja to weaken Steel-types like Celesteela and pave a way to sweep for Gliscor.

Additional Notes
: while it definitely appreciates Gliscor threatening the likes of Toxapex and Heatran, Magearna and Gliscor aren't seen together often and fit best on different archetypes.

Tapu Koko serves as a strong pivot that brings Mawile in against the likes of Ferrothorn, Tapu Bulu, Chansey, and Mega Lati@s. In addition, it increases the power of Mawile's Thunder Punch due to its Electric Terrain. Mawile threatens the aforementioned mons as well as bulky ground types that prevent Koko from spamming Volt Switch and Thunderbolt later in the game. In a more broad sense, Tapu Koko beats most physical walls and Mawile beats most special walls.

Rotom-Wash can bring in Mawile-Mega in for free with Volt Switch and help remove fat grass types that don't care much about what Rotom-Wash does. Rotom-Wash can also come in against Heatran and Landorus-Therian when Mawile is not set up behind a sub and then proceed to Volt Switch or remove hazards that annoys Mawile.

Mega Mawile is a great partner to Tapu Lele because of its ability to pressure many common checks to it such as Heatran, Magearna, and Celesteela.

Z-Move Rotom-W is a cool offensive pivot that trades the bulk and utility of its defensive sets for stronger offensive presence and ability to bop something with a well-timed Gigavolt Havoc. Which Pokémon can complement this Rotom-W well?

Ttar is a strong secondary Fire and Flying resist that also provides a lot of utility for Rotom-W. It sets Stealth Rock, putting Steela and Pex into KO range of Gigavolt Havoc. It traps both Latis, which are a hard stop to Rotom. Lastly, Fire Punch roasts Ferrothorn, and it gets a free Volt on both the durian and the eon duo. They also pressure most Ground-types and Defoggers, which can keep Rocks up for much of the game.

Scarf Victini forms a nice volt turn core with offensive Rotom-Wash and pair really nice with each other as Victini removes the fat grass types that Rotom-Wash brings in and in return Rotom-Wash can remove bulky water , grounds , and Heatran for Victini while constantly being able to provide momentum thanks to the U-Turn and Volt Switch.

Tapu Bulu @ Choice Band

Banded Tapu Bulu pairs nicely with offensive Rotom-Wash because of its ability to absolutely pulverize Water/Ground types that can wall Rotom-Wash, like Gastrodon and Seismitoad.
Bulu also baits Ferrothorn to get in, just to be blown back by Banded Superpower. Bulu can deal big damage to Tangrowth too if it decides to run Megahorn, and Tang is one of Rotom's hardest checks.

Rotom-W can deal with Heatran, Celesteela and Skarmory, which are all problems for Bulu. Rotom is an incredible pivot that allows Bulu to get in the most times as possible in a match, this is incredible considering that many teams just lose a pokemon to Banded Bulu every time it gets in(even more after Rotom takes care of some of its checks).

It's also worth mentioning that Bulu+Rotom can lead to the start of a Fire Water Grass core.

I find Heatran to be a great Z-Elec Rotom partner, since it benefits from Rotom getting rid of waters like AshGren, Pex (which loves to switch into Rotom-W, for some reason), Fini, etc, and it can switch into ground attacks from Lando, Gliscor, and Garchomp. Heatran helps switch into grass hits that Rotom can’t deal with, and can counter mons like Serp and Bulu, which absolutely shitpump ANY Rotom.
