This is just awesome. I like how they managed to make a new region (practically) out of an existing region. Just by adding ice on the region, which was definitely formed by some catastrophe created by Kyurem, they changed so much! And wow, 300 pokes... Can't wait for these games and I'm relieve that it really IS a sequel

And I thought Platinum giving use Gible after the 2nd Gym was a bit much.

It's possible that it will only be used by trainers and such and thus unavailable until you reach late game.

Or you can get it early, and happily sweep through the region, Lucario at your side. After all, we got Excadrill rather early in BW1, and it learned its mighty Earthquake as early as lvl 36.
 
in BW1 pokemon were listed according to the time you met them.
If it's the same here riolu will be available early.
 
300 pokemon is kind of insane. Insane in a good way though.

Either way I'm glad they expanded the unova dex since it means that you won't be tempted to go through the game with the same pokemon as you did last time. Hell, we don't even know if all the 5th gen pokemon will be included! Clearly the climate is changed so for all we know some of the 5th gen pokemon may have migrated away, being replaced by other pokemon.

The extra pokemon while also hopefully improve the quality of the gym leaders. No more Skyla and her physical sweeping Swoobat...

They're effectively recycling a region (take Unova, add ice everywhere and replace the old gym leaders with new ones. Woohoo.), the new characters have absolutely AWFUL designs and this pretty much confirms that once again the first versions are just incomplete games. Good thing I didn't buy them, I stopped falling for that scam after Pokemon G/S.

I'm not sure why you expected to be excited for a new Pokemon title if you haven't been for the past three iterations.
 
Quite some good and impressive news. I like it. There is just one thing I fear.

Caves full of Roggenrola, Geodude, Zubat and Woobat?!?! Oh shit...
 
If the weird professor guy hands out DW abilities it's going to be bitter sweet since I've stayed away from breeding pokes that had unreleased abilities. Plus, where the balls is my Frontier?
 
...wow, this game is looking fantastic already. With all these new developments and non-Unova Pokemon from the start (hopefully with DW abilities), the new Gym Leaders, areas, and everything, my hopes for the Battle Frontier to finally return just shot up.

And that new Poison-type Gym Leader is totally my waifu.
 
I don't mind the Subway and it doesn't seem ethical to revert back to the Frontier just because 2-years down the line, Unova felt the Subway was not attracting enough competition? Curse that Subway is all I've got to say...

A new rival, in red? Oh I feel the nostalgia kicking in. Maybe Cheren and Bianca are no longer in the storyline? Does anyone know more?

Exciting news. As expected, they're giving the storyline the ol' heave-ho, but I did not at all expect the new characters. New protagonists and gym leaders? Far out. Admittedly, I was disappointed by some of the gym leaders having lame teams and shitty final Pokemon. A change in scenery is nice too, though I don't know how I feel about half of Unova being frozen over. If they can explain it well, I'm fine with it.

The focus on Pirouette Meloetta sounds like more good news to me. I want her to be competitively viable in the higher tiers.
 
Honestly, adding in other Pokemon to the dex was the most exciting thing they could have done for me..... but also adding new gyms makes this pretty exciting as well!

If my favorite Pokemon end up in the dex I'll be so happy...

I'm really excited for this, in particular the huge number of Pokemon... 300!!! I thought HGSS had a lot with 256.
Sure, a lot of them are new, but from the looks of it Metagross, Tyranitar, Lucario, and others will be available. This is going to kick ass.

I'm excited to see how much Unova has changed. Also, it would be cool if the Poison gym leader has a relation to Koga... I can't get enough of ninjas using Crobat.

I don't mind the new characters, at least our rival isn't as dweeby as Cheren.

Let me pick Eevee as my starter (won't happen, I know) and I can die a happy man.
 
I'm wondering if they will introduce a slew of baddies for Team Plasma since N pretty much left to a 'distant land' to chill with Zekrom/Reshiram plus Ghetsis and his six sages are in jail. That and the fact that the Shadow Triad are out and about.

N and the main character from BW must have messed up big time to have let Kyurem 'fused' with the cover legends.

EDIT: Forgot that the Shadow Triad broke Ghetsis out of prison and he's free atm. I have a feeling he's involved with the fusion.

I also agree with this line of thinking. Otherwise, BW2's Unova will be quite smaller than BW's Unova. And there's way too much Fridge Logic in "It's frozen over and then thaws after you clear the game".
 
Yay! This release of information has almost confirmed that we're getting a new story. Looks like I'll have to start saving money, I didn't want a remake.
