Pokémon GO

It doesn't even have a 9% nerf - those are its regular stats. None of them go above 2700 CP :(

9% nerf is given only to Pokémon who have a CP exceeding 4K (Don't ask me why).

A lot of people expect Psycho Boost to get a big buff before release, to make Deoxys the purest of glass cannons.

Also, found these on another forum, and thought it was interesting.

Normal form durability comparison

If projections pan out for Meteor Mash being as good as other CD moves, Metagross should have a hell of a time as a Steel-type, potentially beating out those mentioned. For example, a Hydro Cannon-esque version of Meteor Mash (same stats / length as Hydro Cannon) would make Metagross output only 1% less DPS than Rayquaza's Dragon moveset while also having significantly higher TDO (bulk). It has the potential to be very meta (hue) defining. If anyone is interested, you can read the theorycraft here.

And the shiny is so badass!

I got my Deoxys ex raid invite for Monday, October 1 in Glastonbury, CT USA at 1pm-1:45pm so I'm thrilled. I see that I can invite one ultra friend or best friend, and since most people I know in that area also got an invite, I might be willing to extend an invite to any of a few of you in the area. Ulquiorra not sure if this is within your distance range.

Are all EX Raids on Mondays? Just before Mewtwo exited EX Raids, they were handing out invites for September 3rd and September 10th, and it just sucks since it'll be difficult for me to attend any of them if that's the case due to work.

Heatran, Dialga, Magnezone, Excadrill...

Metagross will probably be better than most (except Dialga imo) but they will still be decent options
OK, you got me, I forgot their existence... because the Steel attacks we have sucks. Meteor Mash may be the only saving grace for all current Steel types, which only Metagross as of now (and exclusive CD one at that) can learn.
Well, I haven't seen how Dialgo would compare though. What are the other Steel special move it can learn, that it's gigantic stat may still cover over MMash 'gross?

Keep in mind that Dialga also learns Iron Head

If Dialga learns Metal Claw and Iron Head, it'll be a very impressive Steel attacker. It'll obviously depend on the actual stats of Meteor Mash. Also, there's Jirachi and it's insane Doom Desire on the horizon, so we'll have to see how that goes.

Well, I suppose everyone already knows the quick throw trick? I feel like I have to practice this a lot again in hope of maximising number of caught Beldum soon. I did outdo myself that my own physical energy dropped quicker than number of spawns, particularly back then with Larvies (so next time, more ionic drinks). As of now, how is Beldum's catch and flee rates?

By that time I think to just delete all measly ball and be ready to chuck Hyper Balls and nothing else (consistently 600+ in bag, should do without changing ball each encounter).

Beldum has a 40% catch rate and a 9% flee rate. I don't remember how Dratini / Larvitar fared but if they're any indication, Beldum will follow suit.

Fast Catch Trick is essentially mandatory for anyone who wants to be hardcore, and especially primordial in Community Days. You can save up to an hour in them if you know what you're doing.

I think I posted it before but I'll showcase it again anyways:

Text version:

1) Use your left thumb to drag the pokeball selection to the left and just hold on to it.

2) Then use your right index finger/thumb to spin and catch the mon.

3) Tap the screen, then if you did it correctly, just tap the run away button.

It skips the 3 ball shakes, catch message, exp table, and Pokémon Summary screen. It adds up immensely.

are you sure that the video is correct? because my game doesn't do the same... if i want to open the ball selection i have to remove my finger from the screen (or drug it until i don't touch the screen anymore), and then it doesn't let me spin the ball :/

I've been using it all day today and it works. When you drag leftwards from the Poke Ball icon, the selection doesn't have to open for you to throw Poke Balls. Basically just drag and hold then throw your Poke Ball, ignore whether or not the menu shows up.

you're right, it worked :D but i still have to learn how to throw the ball, because i missed almost all throws ^^" also, if the pokemon doesn't disappear means that i haven't caught it, right?

Finally managed to do my first Mewtwo raid today and managed to catch it on the 3rd ball :) Has Psycho Cut and Focus Blast and is 97.8% if I've used the iv calculator right.

Haha yeah this definitely out of my distance. I live in Boston and have no way of traveling that far away.

Not exactly, the Pokémon should still be in the overworld. If you truly want to confirm you caught it, just click it. If it gives you an error (Failed to install module), you caught it and it will promptly despawn from the overworld. If it goes into the catch sequence, try again. You don't have to do this all the time, especially if it's a low level Pokemon or you are sure you basically caught it.

In due time throwing with fast catch becomes second nature, and trust me, it is a game-changer.

It'll still be in the overworld no matter what (from my experience, anyway), but just click it again or check your Pokemon to see if you've caught it. If it gives you an error when you click it, it either means you caught it or it ran away. Either way it doesn't really matter, if it gives you a second chance just try again, if it gives you an error then you can't do anything about it.

Make sure you tap run away after throwing the Poke Ball, though, I forgot about it once and it wouldn't let me tap anything because my Poke Ball menu was still open. Had to restart the app.

Actually, Pokemon caught that way would stay in the overworld until the game refreshes itself (by spinning Pokeball icon), removing the Pokemon as non-existent anymore (either caught or running away). It's even easier if you have constantly full Pokemon Box as if one catch it, the next time one click the same Pokemon (or other Pokemon) it'll tell that there's no space, while error "Failure to install module" like said above means it ran away, and entering catch screen again means it's not caught yet.

I'm curious as to what percentage of each (type of) item you guys have in your bag. I have 1,500 space in my bag and currently hold the following:

90 Potions (34 Hyper, 56 Max) - 6%
114 Revives (59 Revives, 55 Max) - 7.6%
57 Lucky Eggs (those double EXP events just won't come) - 3.8%
21 Incenses - 1.4%
32 TMs (10 Regular, 22 Charged) - 2.1%
225 Rare Candies - 15%
15 Raid Passes (1 Regular, 14 Premium) - 1%
33 Star Pieces - 2.2%
10 Gifts - 0.7%
337 Poke Balls (16 Poke, 24 Great, 297 Ultra) - 22.5%
22 Lure Modules - 1.5%
495 Berries (59 Razz, 53 Nanab, 246 Pinap, 127 Golden Razz, 10 Silver Pinap) - 33%
31 evolution items (6 Sun Stones, 5 Kings Rocks, 7 Metal Coats, 7 Dragon Scales, 6 Upgrades) - 2.1%

I had around 100 Great Balls but I guess I didn't realise how many I used last Community Day. For someone who doesn't (can't) do a lot of raids I feel like I have way too many recovery items, and I don't go out enough to make use of my Lucky Eggs without an event. I guess I should start throwing out some recovery items to make room for Balls in preparation for Beldum Day.

All of my progress in the game has been entirely F2P (free to play). As such, that has a direct impact on the distribution and space to work with.

954/1000
34 Potions (1 Hyper, 33 Max) - 3.4%
19 Revives (1 Revive, 18 Max) - 1.8%
1 Lucky Egg - 0.1%
3 Incense - 0.3%
38 TM (26 Fast, 12 Charge) - 3.8%
275 Rare Candy - 27.5%
4 Raid Passes (1 Free, 2 Premium, 1 EX) - 0.4%
9 Star Pieces - 0.9%
243 PokeBalls (10 Poke, 151 Great, 82 Ultra) - 24.3%
14 Lure Modules - 1.4%
294 Berries (1 Pinap, 292 Golden Razz, 1 Silver Pinap) - 29.4%
12 Evolution Items (2 Sun Stone, 2 Kings Rock, 3 Metal Coat, 2 Dragon Scale, 3 Up-Grade) - 1.2%

The rare candy was a problem prior to the ultra bonus, plateauing at 464 before being converted into Chansey candy.
