YOu say this now, until you wind up with Battle Frontier level AIYou know, I rather would like different AI difficulty levels other than an 'Easy' first time Gym and a 'Hard' rematch later on in the game. Just more intelligence is needed by the Gym Leaders. Look at HG/SS. People like Bugsy/Whitney, if you didn't come prepared, ate your team alive.
By all means, the games should still be easy enough for a child to pick up and enjoy, but that is no excuse for just letting your starter carry you through the game alone.

Battle Frontier is not adaptive AI. They are adaptive teams with luck manipulation. That is not the same as a smarter AI.
When I suggested that Gym Leaders and more 'important' characters get upgraded AI, I meant that they actually prioritize safe switching, sacrificing, setting up...The sort of things we do competitively all the time.
Would I like to see artificial difficulty in higher levels/EVs, luck manipulation, team adjustment/adaptation or Item abuse? Definitely not. I'd just like to see some Gym Leaders with an actual plan. HG/SS made a definite move in this direction. For example, Falkner would try to RoostStall after Sand Attack, Bugsy tried to set up Crit Uturn/Scyther with Quick Attack, Whitney's Miltank was always just an annoying tank, etc.
I want the game to be hard... but not too hard. If the game is too hard, then I can't to a bidoof solo run like i did on Platinum. It's fun to just breeze through the game with the worst possible Pokemon and actually win. Plus, if any Pokemon from Platinum is in Black and White, I hope with all my heart it's Bidoof. If the water gym has a wide lens Lapras with fissure and sheer cold, though, I'll just throw the game away... I say this because I remember I got swept by one of those high up in the battle tower once. That was horrible.
Do you actually know this to be true? From what I understand, what you're saying means the critical hit ratio is higher for opponents in the Battle Frontier, and moves such as Stone Edge and Focus Blast do miss more often. Is it not just bad luck?
Yes, this is long confirmed; In the BT, Low accuracy moves will hit you more, your low accuracy moves will hit less, etc.
When I first found it out, it sure explained why Grasswhistle ALWAYS hit. :P
Are you saying that those moves with perfect accuracy (in your side) are the only ones that actually have 100% accuracy and that moves with 100% accuracy are lessened?
Actually, I don't know if 100% Accuracy moves are affected. I've never read that anywhere... And I've never missed with them myself, except against foes with sand attack/brightpowder/double team.

Well, I didn't made the rumors. I caught them at Pokéjungle. About the polar bear, I'm sure that it has been discussed earlier, and this can confirm that there will be a Ice/Fighting!!! My dreams came true!!! (maybe).@Don Honchkrorleone
Snow weather? why should they make that when we have hail, sure hail doesn't boost the power of ice types now, but it could be improved (and it's not like Sandstorm improves the power of rock typed moves unless they improve that too) and correct my guys if I'm wrong, but wasn't this Ice/Fighting polar bear rumor has been posted before ?_?
Sorry if I seemed like I was directing my speech to you, I was simply quoting you and commenting on the rumors.Well, I didn't made the rumors. I caught them at Pokéjungle. Anyway, if the bear is really real, I hope it'll be a mixed attacker. It's both STABS pack a lot of power.
Don't worry. We are her to comment and quote, aren't we?Sorry if I seemed like I was directing my speech to you, I was simply quoting you and commenting on the rumors.
