Pure-dragon Kibago line sounds great to me. It doesn't have the resistances that Salamence had to come in on, such as Ground and Fighting, which means it takes neutral damage from plenty of types. On the other hand, it lacks the great dual STAB that Flygon and Garchomp have, so I think dealing with it will be relatively easy. I could see it with a bulky stat spread and decent speed (90-95).

I just gave you a reason, 492 attack. That's assuming Sand Throw won't be like Swift Swim for Attack, which would make it 656 attack. Sandslash would be able to OHKO Pokemon that Flygon couldn't.

I think Life Orb would be the better option. Sand Throw doubles your speed in sandstorm, while Sand Power increases the power of Rock, Ground, and Steel moves during Sandstorm. If anything, Sandslash would be a premier SDer, which would be cool. 328 Attack and 458 Speed. That's 852 Attack after a SD with Life Orb. Earthquake, Stone Edge, and X-Scissor would probably be the coverage moves of choice. If you're still insisting he would be a better Scarfer than Flygon, I cannot disagree more. Earthquake has very shallow coverage in OU, with a lot of stuff either resisting it (Celebi) or being immune (Gyarados). The total number of Pokemon with resistance or immunity to Earthquake in OU is 16, which is quite a lot. U-turn allows Flygon to scout for Earthquake users, which Sandslash cannot do. Outrage allows it to revenge kill Dragonite, and Ground immunity allows it to switch into the ever-common Earthquake. It also has a Fire-resistance, meaning it can help against Heatran occasionally. Sandslash would be a lot like Heracross; powerful, but ultimately worthless in practice.

I can see all of these having a evolution, but they have giant steel mole already so I think that they have filled their digging mammal quota

Got it. You lack the imagination to picture a Sandslash evolution, therefore it is unlikely that he will be given one.

They also have too many digging mammals and they would never reuse a concept. That is why only a few generations have had a rodent, or a normal/flying bird.

Is it wrong to hold out for hope of a ground/bug pinsir evo with mold breaker?
If it is, then a lot of people are wrong. The problem I see with Pinsir getting a Bug/Ground evolution is that it doesn't learn any ground type moves by level up, and only Earthquake and Dig by TM. However, it learns an unreal amount of Fighting type moves by level up. I'd believe it getting a Bug/Fighting evolution first, but then it would be Heracross with Mold Breaker.

Well if it does evolve into a Bug/Ground then it will learn some ground moves.

Give it a item and trade it,or teach it Ancient Power then it will probobly learn Dig,Earthquake,Megahorn,U-turn and some other moves, and I think Heracross is a little jacked on its own,but If it does get a evolution it would be awesome.

PokeJungle rumors, sorry if these have been posted already.

Shimama evolves into Zeboruto (Zebolt) which is an Electric/Dark pokemon
Darumakka evolves into Darumanki (darumonkey) which evolves into Hihidaruma [Doesn't seem like a 3 stage pokemon IMO]
Kibago -> Onokkusu -> Ononokusu Which is a pure dragon line
One of the new pokemon seen in the video posted the other day is Meguroko’s evo. Not sure if this is the recent Octopus/Green thing video or that brown pokemon in the entrance to the Pokemon Musical
OhaSuta will air a new image next Friday
Next month’s CoroCoro issue will focus on Doryuuzu, Desukan, Emonga, Basurao, Tabunne, Darumakka, Kurokodon Aoika, and Wakoiasu. [Those last three are not pokemon we've heard of before]
Doryuuzu is Ground/Steel. Its ‘Drill Liner’ attack has a base power of 95 and the shit-tastic accuracy of 85% [The rumor didn't SPECIFICALLY say shit-tastic]
Desukan is Ground/Ghost. Rumor says there is only 1 in the game and you encounter it north of Hiun City in the ‘Murai Desert‘. Apparently there is an underground pass you must go through and Desukan blocks it. [Sudowoodo much?] When it’s lid is open it looks like a transparent mummy-ish ghost inside.
Other pokemon that they didn’t know the name of include a rabbit, purple poodle-like pokemon, parrot that looked like a grass type, an elephant, a peacock, polar bear, gourd[?], koala, psychic/water dolphin, and finally a cat with brown eyes.

They ARE just rumors, so take it with a grain of salt.

We need an Arceus evo.

Naw naw, but seriously, the evos that we really need are Banette and Absol. So much potential.

Absol... maybe. Like Rhydon to Rhyperior, 140Atk STAB Sucker Punch.

Speaking of Arceus, this generation may have something to rival with him. Maybe a Satan Pokémon (I believe in Jesus, but if they turned God into a poke, everything is possible.)

I am so excited sand is getting upgraded pokemon, finally Cacturne and crew might see a little bit more OU action for sandstorm teams. If it does get to swiftswimesque uberness (im guessing tta/hipp will stay), Garchomp will have extra friends!

I think it' interesting that people are speculation about evolutions and prevolutions this generation, but I'm more interested in this:

Which Pokemon will still not damn evolve, even though some DESPERATELY need it?

My guesses are Farfetch'd, Girafarig, Fearow, Arbok, Seviper, Zangoose, Ditto, Any fossil, Altaria, Claydol, Donphan, Lanturn, Miltank, Spiritomb, Toxicroak, Cacturne, Corsola, Crawdaunt, Delcatty, Solrock, Lunatone, Swalot, Mightyena, Venomoth, Sharpedo, Dodrio, Furret, Linoone, Raticate and Glalie/Froslass will NOT evolve, among others.

Pokemon I think are going to get pr/evolutions are:
Dunsparce, Bibarel, Banette, Absol, Kecleon, Volbeat/Illumise, Plusle/Minun, Mawile, Hypno, Octillery, Pelipper, Pinsir, Heracross, Primeape, Quilfish, Sableye, Seaking, Spinda, Ledian, Ariados, Sunflora, Torkoal, Tropius, Stantler, Whiscash, Xatu and Sandslash.

For some reason, I get a feeling whenever I look at certain Pokemon, like "Oh, this can't be IT." It happened with Roselia, Sableye and Mawile when I first caught one of each in 3rd gen.

yeah, adn when they get tired of maammals they can buy collosoil from smogon for ten million dollars

Yes! Evolution speculations. I'm really glad they gave Luvdisc an evolution. I'm hoping for a Pinsir evolution and a dunsparce evolution. Pinsir is out shadowed by Scizor and wouldnt it make sense for it to turn into a dark/Bug counterpart? Dunsparce is a Serene Grace god with crap stats so that would be extremely exciting. And both of those pokemon are "larvas" so the seem like they'd evolve.

@SuperErinMan: Bibarel won't get an evolution. Doesnt make sense. Its the Sinnoh rodent. Hypno won't. Its complete (though I guess Dusknoir was too soooo...). Octillery and Pelipper are bulked to the max. What would an Octopus or a Pelican evolve into? Ledian and Ariados won't because they're Johto Bugs. Sunflora evolves by stone so I dont think itll get another evolution since theres no other pokemon that does that (that I can think of). Xatu is done too. I don't know why it just is.

Hopefully they give alot of those not-even-gimmick-pokemon from Gold and Silver some cool additions. Stantler. Flaffy split. Qwilfish. Dunsparce. CORSOLA. I wanna see a coral sea snake.

ITT we post Pokemon we think should get evolutions.
This drought of information is really starting to get to us. Anybody know when we can expect another update?

Oh man, an Electric/Fighting split evo for Flaaffy. Same stats as Ampharos, but with Attack and Special Attack switched. That'd be such an awesome SubPuncher, not to mention a decent Scizor switch-in.

@ Percussionist: We're supposed to get an image from OhaSuta next Friday.
