Well bronzong has pretty awesome defenses and is only 2x weak. Hopefully this guy'll get awesome defenses, but it's 4x weak. Scizor and forry die to preeetty much any fire attack

Scizor's OHKO'd by an Ember from a Modest 252sp. atk Specs Chimchar after SR. Just goes to show how crippling a 4x weakness can be. Heatproof would be a good ability for this thing, but it'll probably just get something like Poison Point.

lol. Yeah, 4x weaknesses to common attacks pretty much doom you unless you have something to offer that is unlike no other. e.g. Scizor: Stab TECH BP make it simply amazing. Since it gets Bullet Punch, I wonder if it will get Mach Punch by level up next Gen. I mean, if it can use Bullet Punch, it should be able to use Mach Punch.

Heatran takes 63.8% - 75.5% from CB Mach Punch.

I think Machamp should get a few more toys this Gen as well. Powerful inaccurate moves that he can learn.

Gamefreak's been pretty good with its abilities so far this gen, I wouldn't doube that this pokemon could get some nifty abilities. Also, remember that's the base stage people. Its final stage is reportably a bad ass.

I'd like to see this guy get Natural Cure/Heat Proof personally, unless he gets a custom ability that's just amazing. I'd also like to see him be a Metagross in his own right.

I hope we get a few more priority moves this gen. Fire and Electric could use them. Dragon, too ;D

Definitely fire and electric. Flying makes sense to have a priority, IMO.

Dragon definitely doesn't need it though. It serves no purpose outside of being practically unresisted. Dragon has enough great moves as it is :naughty:

@Xing: We're not sure about Luvdisc evolving. I've heard people say we aren't getting any new evolutions of previous pokemon this gen, but it may be possible that we won't have access to them until post-E4. I personally doubt it just because it was revealed so long before the release. Had it been about now I'd see it being plausible, but showing it off so soon just doesn't make sense to me.

As much sense as that makes, I can't look at it without thinking Luvdisc (Luvsdic).

ucwutididthar?

Fucking badass Pokemon this generation. Not to mention there won't be any Evoluntions in this gen from the old pokemons, so completey NEW Pokemon. Oh and maybe the old pokemon will get the new abilities as it's the new Generation. BADASS Good job Gamefreak! You deserve our money!

In Gen 4, no move got both a priority move and a recoil move besides Normal (Fighting got Close Combat but that's not technically a recoil move). If this pattern holds for Gen 5, we're not going to get any more priority moves besides Poison, Ground, Bug, Psychic, and Dragon. That said, I want an Electric priority move that works like this:

Type: Electric
Base Power: 80
Status: Physical
PP: 5
Priority: +1

Effect: Always attacks first but any move used on the user for the rest of the turn always hits.

The Pokemon would charge itself and the ground around it to propel itself like a Linear Syncronous Motor and the leftover charge attracts attacks to it (but not enough that it works like Follow Me; the Pokemon still has to aim in the Pokemon's direction).

Edit: I'm not sure Ononokusu is officially confirmed to be the final form of Kibago, but they have the same Abilities and Type and similar clasifications.

Isshu is basically a Pokemon Region made from white scratch, much like Kanto was before Ho-Oh went into the picture.

Therefore, the Heart-shaped Pokemon is not an evolution for Luvdisc...tragic. Ever native Isshu Pokemon is "new"...

I've come to the conclusion that i need to buy both versions. There are too many impressive pokemon (design-wise and hopefully stat/move-wise) for just one game.

We still haven't seen all the new ones yet, but from what i've seen and heard described I'm extremely happy.

I'm thinking (in-game) teams need to be:

Black
Meguroko3
Desukan
Denchura
Ononokusu
Koromori2
Turtle2

White
Doryuuzu
Fire/Ghost3
Water/Ground Frog
Dark/Dragon Hydra
Dark/Fighting Lizard
Wooguru

And I'm still looking for a spot for the polar bear, fire/bug, water/ghost, grass/steel and so on! You can seriously make a good case for a mono-type playthrough with several different types. What a diverse generation!!

Im doubting the luvdics evo more and more since pokemon sunday yesterday when they showed best wishes semi start up you saw so many Mamanbou but no luvdics.
