Pokemon for the ZUNE

Hmm... whosever this is, let's see what we can make out of it...

Sakurbel looks like a Cherrim evo.
Ponleaf and Creepuna are obvious Grass derivatives of Ponyta and Rapidash. In fact, a few look derivative, like the Rock/Grass turtles, but...
Raredrill's a Dunsparce evo.
Lilless is some Lileep relative.
Pinshard is an awesome Pinsir evo.
Viruxin's probably a Poison Eeveelution. Possibly the same with Clousin, or the two could be an evo chain, or a Plusle/Minus-ish thing.
Yukicle looks like a Delibird pre-evo.
Loussel's a Sneasel relative.
Navalord looks like a Seaking evo.
Cetaness is a not-bad-looking Lapras evolution.

and mosquare is a shitty masquerain evo ;_;
 
Liphin also looks like a possible Lanturn evo, and Horwade and Lathferd are the Water typed equivalents of Ponyta/Rapidash (completing the Fire/Water/Grass trio)

Also, some of these names are really bad, but I guess it doesn't matter because the actual art is pretty awesome
 
Cute, they don't really remind me of pokemon though. Neopets is what comes to mind.

I don't really like the names either. But that Lapras evo is so cool. I'm sad that one of my fakemon appears here. :( It's not orignal anymore.

Pinsir evo is nice too. And the Zangoose evo. AND the thing that looks like it's related to Kanghaskan.
 
I agree, many of them are far too cute to be actual Pokemon.
The Pinsir/Dunsparce/Lapras Evos would be interesting to see if they actually existed.
 
Horwade is almost identical to the finned horse on Neopets with some color variations and such. Thunda would know which one I'm talking about.

The lapras evolution is bitchin', though.
 
Some of them are quite good, but a big part of Pokemon's visual style is the fact that it doesn't just have cute critters, it's also got monsters like Heatran and Garchomp, and space-y Pokemon like Kyogre and the Regis. There's really an overabundance of cute here - even the high-order Legendaries near the end of the list are adorable.

I do like the Delibird evo towards the end, though, and the Seaking evo(?) Navalord is neat.
 
I think most of these are really standard :[ like for example, Rattarus which I presume is a Raticate evolution, is just a taller raticate with more spiky fur. Same with Pinshard, only with more spikes and fangs.
Then, some other look like total rip-offs or just 'fusions. Look at Ponleaf and Creepuma for example, it's like if ponyta mated with chikorita. Ardentail is a gigantic growlith rip-off, Lathferd is fucking Suicune.
And then there's also those who look EXACTLY the same only with different colors (the Dragon-typed trio). The Nanglass line look more like digimon than anything else.

Anyway, after that big rant, I like Dangrochs, Lambhorn and the weather changing legendary.

I noticed a lot of pokemon on this sheet that forgo the cute (big eyes with big highlights style) and look like they could be cool pokemon

Hemshawk, Nightmo(mothra!), Liphin, Buryfurr, Blowgaroo, Lichtoise, Raggflow, Sharldaau, Darcound, and Beasice seem to be rebelling against the Neopets art style.

Also, anybody know why a grass/water pokemon is named for the menstrual cycle?
