And Mamoswine wouldn't really be of much concern either. Switch to Lucario, Lucario eats the Ice Shard and then OHKOs Mamoswine with an Aura Sphere.

After seeing the purple silhouette, I immediately thought Pikaglu.

Crobat should do well against shaymin skyform. Quadresist seed flare and inner focus prevents flinching. Taunt can stop subseed.

Mamoswine isn't really a safe switchin either; Seed Flare will probably always be Shaymin's "safe" move when the player doesn't know the full enemy team, since it only has to do around 33% of the opponent's HP to KO it the next turn.

Regular-form Shaymin with 252 SpA, Modest, with Choice Specs does 24.70% - 28.92% against Salamence, 4 HP / 0 SpD. Factor in Stealth Rock and the 40% SpD lower effect, and that is almost always a 2HKO. Maybe, one might say, but Shaymin is no faster than Salamence that way and you can't rely on the 40% in a hypothetical scenario. Well, what if Shaymin had better SpA and Spe in another form, enough so that its SpA would be higher than 328 even if it ran Timid? And what if that 40% odds were changed to 80%? Multiplying the accuracy of the move by the accuraccy of its debuff, it about a two-thirds change that the opponent will have switched in to having to switch back out. And the Salamence example is with a 4x resistant pokemon.

Shaymin definitely won't be too afraid of Ice Shard users switching in. And if they do, it can switch out; at least something on the rest of the team won't be afraid of Ice Shard.

The numbers are slightly smaller against Heatran, who depending on Sky Shaymin's chosen moveset may resist everything, but that's calculated without prior damage and however much more SpA Shaymin might get.

here is the scan of the 5 new silhouettes, three of them appear to be Rotom alternate forms and one seems to be a Sandstorm version of Castform the green one looks like a camera lol

The green one must be Regisky!

Seriously though, I agree with the Rotom theories. All three of those have the head spike. It's strange though that the blue one is asymmetric unlike the others. Sandstorm Castform seems to be likely too. But the green one. what the hell is that?
Edit: Also the red one looks like a Krabby squished under a toaster. Hopefully, if those are in fact Rotom alts, they will have new types and not just shapes. Freezer and washer would assume Ghost/Ice/Water, but the red one... are those claws? Boxing gloves? Spatulas? Lol

It's Rotom's camera/flying tractor form. It's either going to be Ghost/Steel or just the simple Ghost/Electric type.

Seriously, if these do turn out to be alternate forms of Rotom based on electrical appliances, I just have to ask wtf Game Freak was smoking when they came up with them. The idea of a toaster Pokemon just makes me crack up. It's just...retarded really. At least Rotom is Genderless, otherwise that would bring up issues I don't want to even think about...

Honestly all these new forms are kind of annoying now, next thing you know the pixies will have new forms and the dragons and hell maybe even bidoof. The only multiple form pokemon before was deoxys (and to an extent castform), now they're adding a confirmed 3 more alternate forms and apparently possibly a 4th now. It just seems like a cheap attempt by Gamefreak to get more sales

Don't forget Unown!

And yes, I sort of agree with you. The idea of multi-form pokémon is too overused now. I can understand pretty much all of those announced until now except for Shaymin (but it made the little chia pet not sucking anymore, and was not-hideous, so whatever), but of all pokémon, Rotom? Seriously, Game Freak, it needs an evo with +11 in all stats, not a toaster form.

You all have to remember that when they make a pokemon, they think about kids, not mature competitive pokemon battlers.

The thing that hasn't been mentioned but can be totally possible is that they could also be entirely new pokemon native to the Torn World in Platinum.

i guess we will know what they are by Nov 4 they will start revealing more info about them on sept 28 (two year aniv. of D/P release)

They also seem to be stretching this gens pokemon count with new forms.

I think if Rotom were to change forms it would retain its Electric typing rather than Ghost (Electric/Ice makes more sense than Ghost/Ice in a refrigerator I think).

Okay, good point, but those are few and far between. It seems like they're introducing an entire kitchen set now. What's next, a toilet Pokemon?
Well considering I see a toaster, Fridge, TV(?), and a tractor/camera (seriously...wtf) I have to say that you're right about the kitchen theme. I'm also having a strong feeling your statement about a toilet Pokemon is going to come true within the next few months.
