If it is even Rotom, I think it will probably stay Electric (The bolt-shaped image in its silhouette is very common in Pokemon's rendering of electric monsters and attacks). A TV is something people already associate as being fundamentally "Electric" so Ghost would seem the only other appropriate type, being plasmic and of strange consistency (As a kid I always thought of TVs as being sort of ethereal and not physical, I mean, where would I think those images came from?). A refrigerator would be easier to alter into Elec/Ice and an oven--or toaster--into Elec/Fire. Weak to Stealth Rock, yes, but I think it would be funny to see Elec/Fire avoid Earthquake by Levitate.
 
I have a theory. This is probably wrong, but whatever.
Maybe these silhouetted pokemon are unique pokemon and not new forms of old pokemon, but are only obtainable/usable in the Torn World? That would eliminate the problem of Platinum-to-D/P battling with new pokemon and give the Torn World some extra uniqueness. Maybe even online battles in the Torn World with different characteristics than regular battles?

It's completely possible and nothing seems to get in the way of that theory, but personally... I think that would kind of suck. Two simultaneous metagames?

We don't even know if there will be Pokemon battles (besides Giratina) in the Torn Wold at all yet, but I like the idea of Rotom jumping into a tractor and "possessing" it WAAAAAAAAAAY too much.
 
^ lol it might just be like those mystical stones that deoxys uses to change forms. But instead it'll be a toaster, a refrigerator, etc. <_<

My Japanese isn't perfect, but their topmost translation seems to be wrong.

This version of the image seems to group the red, blue and purple silhouettes together, which also seem to be the only three that are obviously Rotom. The other two could be anything at this point, though there seems to be a jaggy electric "appendage" on the Green one as well.

I'm going with, right now:

Green: Tractor/Camera
Orange: Lamp
Blue: TV
Red: Toaster
Purple: Fridge
 
You will battle Flint and Volkner together at some point in the game... now, the question is, is it Elite 4 battle or maybe a gym battle? :O

Maybe Tower Tycoon Palmer will be now in Elite 4, and Flint will go to Sunnyshore city gym?

  • Torn World seriously reminds me of that level near the end of Sonic Adventure 2, with the gravity changes. I'm sure some people know what I mean.

  • Battle Factory's back. Maybe I'll find a Pokemon I never used that I like using after trying it out. (happened in Stadium 2's Challenge Cup with Aerodactyl to me)
  • More Pokemon allowed in Amity Square. Piplup wasn't let into the DP one, but it was there in the trailer.
  • As Mastadi mentioned, double battle vs Volkner and Flint. lol bring an Earthquaker, that'll probably help.
In short: ME WANT.

I think that is what it says at the end of the trailer.
 
No one has mentioned the best part of the new trailer- it seems you actually Surf at a respectable pace now. Apparently the strict water speed limit has been removed.
 
Allright, so with that video, it's proof that those 5 new little rotoms *lol* are real, well atleast to me since it looks like solid evidence. Infernape's new pose is just great.

That's what I thought when I saw it. I feel like getting this game.
 
Some changes I'd like to see compared to its predecessors
-Have a back button in the Poketch
-A way to turn off that annoying beeping sound when your Pokemon's health is in the red zone
-Faster Surf, but it seems this has been mentioned already
-More slots for Friend Codes
-A guy similar to the Battle Frontier IV guy in Emerald
-Being able to bike in those checkpoint buildings, like in FR/LG
-Rebattle Gym leaders and possibly Galactic members (doubt the latter, but their music is pretty good I'd like to hear it after finishing the main story)
-Turning off battle scene turns off all animations, even those when the Pokemon is sent out.
-Engage in Wifi Double Battles in the new Battle Frontier
-More variety pre-national dex
-receive the national dex upon beating the elite 4 + champ (I wish they did this more often and not send us on unnecessary Pokemon sightseeing/catching)
-Wifi in the Underground (still don't have that star in D/P)
 
In the trailer, after showing Flint + Volkner, it has a double battle screen with Magmortar and Electivire, in the same places as the two trainers. More hope for a revamped Regional Dex. Yeah! This game is getting better and better!
