Pokemon Shuffle General Discussion

I've finally cleared level 290-299 from Giratina (Some items were used ...) and it was hard ...
Just waiting for some Gold from Meowth and Sunday Meowth tomorrow, and I will try a full item run ...

Gengar / Giratina / Absol is my best choice, isn't it?

This was my team. Sinister power activated just 3 times but in one of those times, my score jumped by 20k...
Hope you have a backup jewel, I didn't need to use one but, man, was it close! 4 moves left...

Finish it with 8 moves left ! Easier than I thought ! I've used Mega Gar / Giratina / Absol, I managed to use Mind Zap to delay Disruption Delay, it was easier than I thought, and I also managed to do the 120+ combo from the Mission Card ahaha :D

My MegaRay has already eaten this 2 new candies !! Back farming some money to be ready for tuesday updates ... And I still need to farm Uxie also ...

I too, am also done with this Escalation for good (finished it completely) after spending quite a while in the 280's and 290's. My old faithful of Absol / Zoroark / Hydreigon / Sableye did well but for the 290's I was forced to swap to Gengar / Kingdra / Absol / Sableye and it did much better than I thought it would do (Kingdra instead of Weavile because Astonish is terrible even with the SE advantage and Whirlpool has good proc rates) even though it took a long time to progress because yay RNG and bad luck on anger rounds. For 300 I used Absol / Zoroark / Hydreigon and did it comfortably with about eight turns left.

The Escalation was also helped by having Lv3 Risk Taker on Sableye (and being Lv15), Lv2 Sinister Power on Zoroark, and having the sense to invest Speedups into Absol.

Off to grind now I guess?

Good job ! Did I miss some special items on these stages or did you use the generic raise abilities item ?

Thanks to special Meowth+1 jewel, i get after removing 800 gold from +5moves, 7200, 4900, 7900, 3200 gold, so I'm not totally broken ... I don't know if I try to level up Uxie's Ability ... Do we really need it ? (There are already good Psychic pokemon and others types vs fighting/poison pokemons like Skyblast teams or so many powerful ground types) ... Does it drop his skill boosters easily ? Still at 75/50/25% ? Is it easy to beat itemless ?

Thanks :)

Well I didn't bother farming any of the skill booster pokemon after groudon, also didn't finish the Giratina EB but managed to beat lvl 200 so I'm here hoping for big update in a few minutes.

I just took advantage of the available Skill Boosters to get the levels I have. Also Uxie apparently has a higher drop rate relative to other repeats we have seen and Mind Zap is a good ability so it is worth levelling up if you have nothing better to do and have lots of coins on hold.

Anyhow:

Caught Dialga ! and it seems that Gardevoir spawns Nidoking !

I think Dialga is worth upgrading his ability ... Kabutops / Omastar is a bit less ... And I still have Uxie to farm and also levels on Nidoking/Dialga ... A long week :(

Just checked the pastebin, new safari next week but ffs now we have not one but two 1% pokemon this time around -_-

Oh god, why. More 1%'s is not going to be fun. Not sure what Nosedive does, but nothing besides the shinies even looks that special.

That said, for this week I'm caught up, so I'll be using my Hearts to farm Meowth and spending excess Coins on Dialga for Skill boosters in the interrim.

Wonder what the rate's gonna be on Tornadus for dropping Mega Speed Ups. Depending on the rate that might prove interesting, but for now I'd probably prefer farming Therian Landorus (this assuming I even have spare time with the Safari).

Quick Reminder that Wednesday is Qwilfish day. Grab your Dunsparce for the farming if you do that.

I played Lord Qwilfish today 5 times and only a 500 income when I reduce the price cost by 800 for +5 moves ... And there's still a risk ... Better than Meowth though

Wait, you can use Qwilfish to earn coins?
Bring Dunsparce, use Moves +5, and make combinations of four or more while the turn counter is above 14 to make it spawn five coins.

All the daily Pokémon from this round bar Dunsparce do this with the previous Daily Pokémon brought, just that Qwilfish is the most effective because it has sizeable HP, a clean board, and an easy way to get a combination of 4+ turn one if the Dunsparce do not auto-match. However, you must use Moves +5 for this to work really well and there's the chance you can come out in the red because RNG hates you.

I tried it this week, not my cup of tea. Barely made 3k profit over the day mostly because skyfall hated me and whatnot. Should have just played Meowth instead.

I don't favor Qwilfish, mostly because my choice Megas for it aren't Candied enough yet. I'll stick to Meowth probably.

Next week's a big farming one post Safari, because Landorus-T's got a really nice ability for its BP and Type, so hopefully I'll have time after the Safari (please have a decent drop rate for Skill Boosters).

Tornadus also finally giving me a reason to return to the Once-a-Day if it has a shot at dropping Mega Speed ups like they say.

Next week looks to be a busy one.

Sounds like gambling. Not my cup of tea.

Gengars the only mega of choice for the stage. Even a fully candied Rayquaza isn't that ideal for qwilfish.
I played qwilfish, and got a total of around 10k with the 25-30 plays. I would've gotten a higher score but I had a busy day and I couldn't afford to spend so much time on the stage.
I used a team of Gengar, chandilure, dunsparce and pichu.

Next week will be really busy with a lame safari, Tornadus repeat with Skill Boosters AND Mega Speed Up drops, Landorus T repeat with Skill Boosters (= The best ability to level up) and the two repeats will cost gold of course

Managed to put Mind Zap Uxie to level 3 ... I've tried several times Dialga ... Each time I drop a Skill booster, I can't beat it (less than 10% hp) and if he doesn't drop a skill booster, I manage to clear the stage ! I won't try it anymore ...

Currently farming some gold for next week and level upping Nidoking / Dialga (currently 8) for the Gardevoirite
