SPOILERS! Pokemon Sword and Shield Datamine Thread

Looking at moves data, couldn't figure how Max Moves base power are calculated.

It's based on the moveset or they have fixed BP?

Zacian is preposterous. Its base form, with 252 Attack EVs, Intrepid Sword's automatic +1 Attack boost, and a Jolly Nature, has an Attack stat of 273 at level 50, which is equal to what it would have with base 221 Attack.
Huh? That seems way too low. The base stat of 170 is getting multiplied by 1.5 and so are the stat buffs from EVs and IVs. It should be over base 255 -- Jolly base 170 at +1 and full investment is equal to base 250 Adamant with full investment.

A Jolly 170 Atk Pokemon at +1 with 252 EVs and 31 IVs is equivalent to base 279.75 ATK

So can Zamazenta deal with Zacian ?
Zacian with sword dance and sacred sword seem too strong against Zamaznta.
252+ Atk Mawile Sacred Sword vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Lucario: 260-308 (80 - 94.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

(Sacred Sword ignores Zamazenta's ability so I didn't include it)

Not a chance in hell considering Zacian outspeeds. Zamazenta can hit Zacian neutrally with either STAB, but Behemoth Bash doesn't reliably 2HKO even when Jolly and fully invested:

252 Atk Lucario Meteor Mash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mawile: 145-172 (44.6 - 52.9%) -- 27.3% chance to 2HKO

Close Combat gets the 2HKO, and conveniently the stat drops are ignored by Sacred Sword:

252 Atk Lucario Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mawile: 175-207 (53.8 - 63.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

But all that means is that Zacian can't switch in and facetank.

So weird... did they seriously make one version to lose another ?

Primals have same issue
Kyogre can at least beat Groudon if its weather is up, to be fair. It's more of a weather war, except they screwed up in that Groudon can OHKO Kyogre even in rain if it outspeeds while the reverse isn't true.

It's not quite like Yveltal where Xerneas literally hard counters it under all circumstances.

Both “non-nude” zacian and zamazenta are steel types, so isn’t that basically even?
Type advantage wise, yes, but Zacian is just far better optimised at what it does. Not least because of the glaring oversight that Zamazenta doesn't learn Body Press despite the move being practically custom made for it.

Yung Dramps

awesome gaming
Lemme ask again: Has any info been found on if the extra legendaries can be obtained without transfer? Raid data, legendary encounter data, raid/distribution data, anything??

I just noticed that Solgaleo gets Psychic Fangs now. I think it will probably want to run it as Psychic STAB -- it's 5 points more powerful than Zen Headbutt, it's perfectly accurate, and it has an admittedly worse but still useful secondary effect. Necrozma, of course, will still run Photon Geyser.

(Related: why the fuck does Zacian get Brick Break but Zamazenta doesn't? They tried really hard to make a defense-oriented Pokemon reliant on Close Combat for some baffling reason.)

None in the raids data. No idea about gift distribution etc.

Dracozolt seems to blow defensive walls away with empowered Bolt Beak (170 BP is pretty nutty) and Hustle. It also gets Fire Fang as coverage to hit Ferrothorn. Even with Jolly nature and only 100 base attack:

252 Atk Hustle Zekrom Bolt Strike vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Toxapex: 254-300 (161.7 - 191%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Hustle Zekrom Bolt Strike vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 198-234 (126.1 - 149%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Hustle Zekrom Bolt Strike vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 160-189 (79.2 - 93.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Life Orb Hustle Zekrom Bolt Strike vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 208-246 (102.9 - 121.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Hustle Zekrom Fire Fang vs. 252 HP / 24 Def Ferrothorn: 148-176 (81.7 - 97.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Life Orb Hustle Zekrom Fire Fang vs. 252 HP / 24 Def Ferrothorn: 192-229 (106 - 126.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Hustle Zekrom Fire Fang vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Ferrothorn: 146-177 (80.6 - 97.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Life Orb Hustle Zekrom Bolt Strike vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Rotom-Wash: 165-195 (105 - 124.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Just for fun (since they got snapped):
252 Atk Hustle Zekrom Bolt Strike vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 206-246 (119.7 - 143%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Hustle Zekrom Bolt Strike vs. 40 HP / 252+ Def Alomomola: 302-356 (123.2 - 145.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

I really wish this thing got Dragon Dance to boost it's mediocre speed. Running Blunder Policy for a Hustle miss is gimmicky but could be ok?

Wide Lens might also be nice for almost halving your miss chance.

Seems too unrealistic. You're still going to miss the a hit 1 out of 4 times, and even ...
- if you actually land it, you are still slow and will risk taking damage, and at 1/4 chance to miss the second hit too
- if you don't land it, you're outspeeding but *still* have 1/4 chance to miss.

I could see such gimmick work in lower tier (or with Dinamax if you're willing to invest it after the miss, assuming it makes all moves 100% accuracy like Z-moves do), but not really as more than a fringe gimmick
