I prefer CBCross for the power and the ability to 2HKO most walls. The only other type of Heracross I have used is ScarfCross and as said in previous posts it is walled easily.
 
I prefer CBCross with Adamant Nature. Jolly Nature is kinda useless on Hera *gasp*, seeing as the thing you would be outspeeding (Lucario, Electivire) shouldn't even be facing Hera.
 
The best Heracross IMO is SubSalac SD Cross, or more simply put MoPCross. Thanks to Close Combat, it became even more dangerous. The large number of priority attackers is a pain though.
 
IMO, the best would have to be just a regular Swords Dancing Heracross. Preferably with Leftovers so sand doesn't rape you, although Life Orb isn't a bad choice. I'd also Baton Pass an Agility to it, otherwise, it'd suck, but at least it'll still break stall teams without the speed.
 
GutsCross (with Burn Orb) is the same as a BandCross but can switch attacks (but can't get Guts boost again) so I just voted for BandCross. It hits everything hard, no matter what (save Gliscor and Weezing to some extent). ScarfCross is close second.

All these "vote for your favorite variant of xPogey* threads are getting annoying.
 
Rest-Talker doesn't get nearly as much as love as it should :(
Its great, Guts with sleeptalk can destroy the most common sleep inducers.
 
Choice Band is the best and my favorite. He's great for simply smashing things, and only countered by few. It's also a counter to Blissey, because Paralysis kills the point of Scarf, and Band Cross LIKES it.

Swords Dance is second place, especially if somehow given a speed boost through baton pass or Salac berry. Stronger than Choice Band, and if speed boosted, simply amazing.

Scarf Cross is third place and works pretty well.

The rest of it can usually be done better by others. (Reversal by Lucario with sandstorm resistance, or Rest-Talk by Machamp [though ResTalk can screw unprepared people]. Life Orb by something faster. Other is novelty.)

Seriously, ever pokemon that runs Choice Scarf now outspeeds Scarfcross. CBCross is definatly superior, as the only thing that can actually stand up decently is Gliscor. If CBCross gets a status effect, even Gliscor can be 2HKO'd. CBCross is so much better in so many ways.
 
I'm going with Bandcross. Like other people have said, Choice Scarf conflicts somewhat with Guts if your opponent is using a paralysis attack, while Bandcross gets much stronger, though the speed penalty still hurts.
 
CB Cross, IMO. It whales on all the physical walls really hard, 2HKOing most of them. Killing tanks > Killing sweepers. There are better revenge killers, IMO.
 
SDCross is, IMO, the best, as he can juggle all 3 moves. He can counter a lot of stall teams as well.
BandCross needs prediction, and I say a lot of it. ScarfCross has little power, and I don't really see the point of it anyways.

Anyways, I haven't used Heracross too much, but I'd say Choice Band is superior for the reasons listed.
 
TBH, it's unfair to say those are the 'superior' reasons as they very well have two different roles. I'd imagine when you slap a Scarf on something, you're more likely to use it as a Revenge killer rather than a hard hitting Poke.
 
CBCross by far. Gliscor's sole reason for living is to wall it. If there was no Gliscor, its safe to say that CBCross would be on every team (as if it really isnt already lol).
 
Wow I was expecting more CB's than CS's! Notice how the smarter people who posted as well as voted, mostly voted CB. Most CS votes are probably from lesser experienced people IMO (no offence).

Why scarf him considering EVERYTHING that uses salac/agility/dd/scarf aims to outrun him? The only way I see scarf helpful is to outrun a lot (duh!), but he's not outrunning SO MANY things because we all set our scarfers too 270+ speed.
So IMO tthe argument of choice items, CB is better IMO.

Sorry about not listing sword dance set, I forgot about it, same as flame orb .

To outspeed all the Pokemon that don't use Salac/Agility/DD/CS, obviously. Of course, that leaves only Choice Band users, Choice Specs users, some Life Orb users and defensive Pokemon (which you probably outspeed anyway with CB).
