Infernape@leftovers
252 HP/152 Defence/104 Speed
Timid/Jolly
Stealth Rock/U-turn
W-o-W
Flare Blitz/Fire Blast
Sleep talk/Counter/Taunt/Slack Off
Ok it looks like a total gimick at first, but please read more.
When i thougt of infernape as my next pokemon to make a new moveset for i thought "its OU everything it can do has been found" when i saw its support mover pool i thought wow! it has a HUGE support movepool with U-turn, stealth rock, taunt, encore, W-o-W, swagger, fake out, counter, calm mind, bulk up, slack off, roar, torment, sleep talk as the best moves. its defences are bad, but it can be EV'd to survive a Adamant Gyrados Waterfall before W-o-W. Thats a SE STAB Attack from one of the best sweepers and most common starters, not to shabby hey? The speed hits 300 with these evs enough to beat the nutral nature base 100's, the defences give you a 93% chance of surviveing two W-o-W'd waterfalls from a Adamant Gyrados.
Fire Blast or Flare Blitz is a hard choice, it realy depends on your team.
U-Turn: lets you switch out and do a little damage, best used with Flare Blitz as with Fire Blast you will want a -Attack nature, this 'nape wants its defences.
Stealth Rock is a vey useful support move, and is extremely unexpected on 'nape
Sleep Talk: Lets you stay in against pokemon like Gengar, Crobat, Roserade and all Yanmega.
Taunt: Can stop most SR leads, and get you a free turn against those who would stay in to set it up.
Counter: Can surprise oponents like Gyrados, but is probably the worst option.
Slack Off: I thought of it when i saw someones quote in a sig, but on this set it could work. Recovering off damage as your oponent flounders about not knowing what to do against this odd infernape.
Popular leads
- Gengar (14936 usages) Switch out unless you have Sleep talk.
- Gyarados (12040 usages) W-o-W it, then switch out.
- Tyranitar (11444 usages) it will run, use SR or U-turn on the switch.
- Bronzong (10269 usages) it will probably run, use SR/U-turn. If you think it will stay in FB or Taunt it.
- Salamence (8805 usages) Switch out, most are specs'd and will KO you with DM.
- Hippowdon (7896 usages) It will fail to KO with EQ and fail to 2KO after burn, W-o-W it set up SR then ether U-Turn/switch out or Fire blast if you have it.
- Ninjask (7674 usages) Taunt if you have it, otherwise U-turn and hope it breaks the sub, Flare Blitz will hurt you with recoil, and Fire Blast may miss.
- Yanmega (6504 usages) if it lacks sleep then FB it, otherwise use sleep talk/taunt, you resist its common attacks.
- Weavile (5868 usages) It will normaly run, unless it is the Sash-SD or Sash-Counter set, use W-o-W on it.
- Abomasnow (5531 usages) it will switch, use SR, U-turn or W-o-W.
- Swampert (5524 usages) This is risky... it may switch out or set up SR, depending on if it thinks you have GK. use Taunt, or switch.
- Azelf (5496 usages) RUN it will 1KO you with psychic.
- Roserade (5459 usages) Most are Sleep powder+spikes+sash, use sleep talk or switch out.
- Crobat (5211 usages) sleep talk or switch.
- Infernape (4907 usages) Switch, they will carry CC and outspeed you.
I was picking random pokemon and trying to find new movesets again, this time bugs.
here is all i could find for Beedrill
BerrySwarmDrill
Beedrill@Salac berry/Liechi Berry
252 Attack/4 Defence/252 Speed
Jolly
Substitute/Endure
X-Scissor
Poison Jab
Brick Break
With Swarm activated and a Speed or Attack boost this thing could do... well not much exept in NU. Ev's give it HP indivisable by 4 so you can sub 4 times and get the boosts.
Next i tryed to find the worst Pokemon and make some movesets
Kriketune@Salac berry
4 HP/252 Attack/252 Speed
Jolly/Adamant
Endure
Sing
Sword dance
X-Scissor
With this set you endure on the first turn activateind Swarm and Salac berry. You will then have 376 (or 343 with no + nature) speed so you should be able to outspeed and sing your oponent (hope it hits) as they switch you use Sword dance giveing you an
attack of 807 or 885 with a + nature (295 or 269 x2 x1.5), thats more than a + nature max attack Sword Danced Heracross. In NU even pokemon that resist it will have problams. However anything will KO you and priority moves will destroy you.
