Overdose IIRC

@Glalie You said that the WWE championship has the least credibility, and I wholeheartedly agree. but having sheamus as us champ, would ruin Miz and his great push.

Regardless, the guy really just doesn't have enough credibility. They could have pushed him for a US title run or something if they wanted to crown him with something, I'm just seeing him as Kozlov 2.0 at this stage pretty much. If he's just gonna be filler anyway theres no real point in having taken the belt from Cena then. At the same time though I'm going to contradict myself here and say that who fucking cares. The WWE Title is arguable the most WORTHLESS title in the company anyway (Ironic, no?).

I wouldn't say it's worthless, have people forgotten about super pushes and wrestlers first title they won were world titles? Brock Lesnar? Undertaker? Sheamus push was faster but I like that they're doing something new instead of the usually John Cena, to me it seems like they might be trying to repeat history.

Undertaker wins WWE title from Hogan -----> Loses it back to Hogan

Sheamus wins WWE title from Cena ------> Possibly lose it back to Cena?

I mean its worthless in the sense of it losing it merit from changing owners so damn much. It's not a title that the owner works tooth and nail to defend for months at a time, its nothing more than a prop, and not a very good one at that. The WWE title (I think the smackdown title is even worse actually) has changed hands 9 TIMES this year. NINE.

I don't think theres too big of a problem with Mega pushes... but a lot of these guys have background to back it up a bit. Lesnar for example was a Collegiate all-star, heavy actual legitimate wrestling background... but I think he got it too fast asa well. Take Wrestled as other characters for years (between 5 and 10 iirc) before winning his first World title. Sheamus for me doesn't really do anything, hes your standard "monster heel" except with no edge or anything really that crazy about him, but this is just personal opinion.

And @igor I agree fully with you too. I don't think he REALLY should be US champ either, was just an example of a belt he'd be better suited to start out on. Heel/Heel angles are usually bad anyway, and neither of these guys should really be face.

i stopped watching pro wrestling (WWE) for a long time now simply because it sucks compared to the way it was before. I became sick of watching John Cena and Undertaker winning every match, and Edge cheating to win every match. It just got too predictable.

The way that it used to be? Oh great this old Attitude Era rant. Looking back now the Attitude Era to me pro WRESTLING wise sucked. I want wrestling not over the top storylines + sexualness, if I want over the top storylines I'd watch a movie and if I want the sexual part I'd go watch porn.

Saugus - World Wrestling Entertainment superstar Randal “Randy” Orton is facing a court hearing for allegedly spitting gum in the face of a juvenile and swearing at him outside Kowloon Restaurant.

On Jan. 12 a 15-year-old male walked in to the Saugus Police Department to report that Orton, 29, assaulted him in the Kowloon parking lot earlier in the day.

Police Lt. Leonard Campanello said the purported victim alleged that Orton, a third generation professional wrestler and former WWE World Heavyweight champion, reacted angrily to a request for a photo at the Route 1 restaurant around 6:30 p.m.

The teenager told police he took a photograph of Orton in the parking lot and then asked to pose with him for another shot.

But according to the victim, Orton, a 6-foot 4-inch, 245-pound wrestler famous for his RKO finishing move, spit his gum at him and called him a derogatory name.

Campanello said the teen's mother confronted Orton, who allegedly responded “so sue me” when she voiced her protest.

Can't believe Orton would do something like that. I heard he was a real stand up guy outside the ring. Really disapointed to hear this.

I don't understand the Impact hate in this thread - it's trailing to Smackdown at the moment but it's easily ahead of Raw and has been for years. The re-signing of Jeff Hardy is also great news but I'm kinda queazy about the sudden acquisition of all these old names. Flair is the most overated, annoying windbag in wrestling history, Scott Hall looks waaaaay past it, X-Pac has abused drugs in every organisation he ever wrestled in, Bischoff is a dick, bored of Hogan already, Val Venis was never that good to begin with etc. And if they really have went back to a 4-sided ring then that breaks my heart. Still, worth watching if only for AJ Styles who's the best performer in the world atm imo - he can do everything in the ring and is half-decent on the mic too.

Shame about Orton too, I hope that doesn't effect him in the ring because he's the only reason to watch Raw at the minute. DX was enjoyable until that Hornswoggle dick started hanging around with them and insulting my intelligence every week. Still hoping HBK wins the Rumble - he probably will because Taker vs HBK for the title at 'Mania would be huge.

I don't agree, Impact trails Smackdown and Raw by a large margin. Impact's main problem is the poor booking (especially dropping angles and ill-satisfying conclusions) and sprint matches that have no build or story.

I'm reserving judgment on their acquisitions for the moment but it doesn't look good. Guys like Orlando Jordan and Shannon Moore never should have been brought in the first place. Then you have Jeff Hardy, fresh out of the WWE main event scene, debut by joining the X-Division. A right debut for Hardy could have been massive for TNA. You have Hogan's mates in the Nasty Boys and Bubba the Love Sponge taking prominent places. You got Sean Morley defeating Daniels at Genesis, a guy that has been a TNA staple and was main eventing the last two PPVs. I seriously could go on all night about the negative signs. I really hope this a 'feeling out' process so to speak, and that TNA will get their act together soon.

AJ Styles isn't even in my top 10 for best performer in the world. His lack of selling ability hinders him (as well as the charisma issue...but he makes for a good face despite this). It's great that he can wrestle on the mat and hit jawdropping spots but it doesn't mean anything if he neglects the work of the opponent. The match vs Angle on Jan 4 is a prime example of this. Hitting multiple finishers against each other doesn't mean much when no story has been told. You leave with a 'yeah that was cool' feeling but not a 'match of the year' feeling that you got with HBK/Taker at WM. Desmond Wolfe would probably be at the top of my list for best current performer.

I agree with a lot of what you say but

The match vs Angle on Jan 4 is a prime example of this. Hitting multiple finishers against each other doesn't mean much when no story has been told. You leave with a 'yeah that was cool' feeling but not a 'match of the year' feeling that you got with HBK/Taker at WM

In all fairness, it was just a TV match whereas HBK/Taker was a PPV match (and the biggest PPV of all for that) so it's not a fair comparison at all. It did leave me with a 'yeah that was cool' feeling so let me ask you - when was the last time you watched a Raw main event and though 'yeah that was cool'? 9 times out of 10 I watch Raw and think 'why the fuck did I just waste two hours of my life again?' Every single TV match just seems to operate with the sole intention of promoting the upcoming PPV, with little or no attempt to put on a decent match. At least you can count on Impact having a couple of good, difficult to predict matches. Look at the card for this weeks Raw.

DX + Hornswoggle vs Big Show, Miz and Jon Heder.
Cena and Kingston vs Legacy
Mark Henry vs Swagger in an over the top rope challenge
Sheamus vs Evan Bourne
Orton vs Masters
Diva match

Completely shit card and it looks pretty typical of a Raw card. Had you showed me that last week I would have told you who'd have won each and every one of those matches and I'm sure anybody in this thread could have done the same. I'm not that arsed that it's easy to predict the winners but it's not just that - the matches themselves were rubbish. I'll agree with you on Smackdown being ahead atm, but Raw can't hold a candle to Impact.

TNA still trails Smackdown but Raw practically isn't even a wrestling show. It became completely useless to me once Jericho got kicked off... save the Miz. Swagger deserves a lot better too.

All I know is, Kendrick and Anderson on TNA makes me a happy happy man. Anderson might not be a godly wrestler but I just plain don't give a shit. And Kendrick is fucking Kendrick. I have high hopes for TNA now, and I'm hoping they keep the four-sided ring.

Anyone else hear that Bryan 'American Dragon' Danielson just had his first dark match 2 weeks ago, defeating Chavo Guerrero? Danielson is a fucking god, interested to see what WWE do with him!

made my wm card cuz im bored...

HHH vs HBK
DX will break up soon, I am sure of it, and HBK needs to fight HHH one on one in a Wrestlemania match. HHH wins with a Pedigree, and honestly, I think both will use dirty tactics to try and win. I'm sure they both finish as Faces, if not, HHH is a Heel.

Mask vs Hair match
Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk w/ Luke Gallows
Eh, I don't know what to think here. I am sure this is the current plan, and I am sure Mysterio does not lose his mask here. I will assume this fued escalates past Wrestlemania, perhaps eventually a Ladder Match.

World Heavyweight Championship
Undertaker (c) vs Chris Jericho vs Batista
Y2J wins the Royal Rumble by "cheating" (throwing out Batista at the end when it seems Batista has won it). How he cheats, I dunno, maybe pull a McMahon and hide the entire time, but regardless, Y2J wins it. Batista is angry and challenges Y2J to his number 1 contender match at No Way Out. Jericho just flat out says "no", and Batista strikes him. Eventually, after tormenting from Batistia, Y2J agrees that if Batista can pin him in the ring, one on one at No Way Out, he can win the spot. Jericho is about to lose and hits him with a Steel Chair. Eventually, Batista comes back, god only knows why, but asks for another rematch. Again, for reasons I can't explain, he will be granted it at WM 26 in a Triple Threat match vs Taker and Y2J. Whatever, Taker pins Y2J -_-

ECW Championship; loser leaves ECW
Christian (c) vs Ezekiel Jackson
Gotta boost Christian onto better things and better shows, I bet these two fued all the way to Wrestlemania.

Money in the Bank
Kane vs Shelton Benjamin vs Drew Mcintyre vs Matt Hardy vs Kofi Kingston vs MVP vs R-Truth vs John Morrison
I don't know who would be in this, but Kofi needs the push.

2 vs 1 Handicap Match
Legacy vs Randy Orton
Ted is supposed to turn on Orton soon, I assume Rhodes joins him. Orton wins and "takes out" Ted, so he can start his movie career. Rhodes moves onto something else.

WWE Championship; No DQ
John Cena vs Sheamus (c)
I bet Sheamus keeps the title and keeps looking stronger and stronger each week. Finally, Cena wins in a No DQ match.

Edge Returns / Miz Promo
Miz goes crazy about how he isn't even on the card of the biggest event of the year. Edge returns and spears Miz. Brings Edge back to the spotlight and gets Miz in a credible fued.

Woman's Championship; 1st ever Steel Cage Woman's Match
Mickie James vs Michelle McCool (c)
I have to imagine this is the only way Mickie gets back at McCool.

WWE Tag Team Championship; Tag Team Turmoil
Don't really care about the titles but they will be vacant assuming DX splits up.

edit: aw man i forgot about bret hart. add in:

Submission Match
Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon
