Red Card? Is this a joke?
And no, the speed berry isn't released.
Nope, free phazing plus Stealth Rock setup in one turn.

But without a white herb you make yourself vunurable to priority, and without a life orb, you probably won't be getting enough power to ohko your opponent. There are better ways of getting rocks down

You're a joke. Stop talking like you know what you're talking about to avoid further embarrassment.
Priority is common in the forms of Sucker Punch on Honchkrow and Extremespeed on Entei.
You're right, Focus Sash would probably work better.
He gets sturdy, So sash would be stupid. I use red card on mine. Whats wrong with it?
Ever since the Red Card was released, it's been identified as a complete noob item. You guys are labeling yourselves as such by arguing the viability of it.
Its actually got a serious mention on a few OU analysises, its not considered totally a noob item, but more of a risky item. Its for if you really need to set up that extra layer of spikes, if used right its decent. Doexys-D is the one I remember, as it doesn’t really need leftovers as it has recover.
Don't ever go with the crowd bro, look at everything critically.
This thread would have so much more potential if OP wasn't so close minded and biased.
I don't see Red Card ever being useful.
Explain how it's close minded and biased. Please, enlighten me.
Well several times in the thread you've merely said "X has been labeled useless" or "X isn't labeled a threat" other phrases along those lines, and yet you haven't said you've figured out that these things are useless on your own. Its easy to just say "Oh well some other people say it is useless, so it is. But when you try things out and experiment on your own, you can find little niche uses for "useless" items and pokemon.
Just a little note to people that are questioning why some of the more obvious things aren't up there yet: I test out everything before putting it on the list. So if there's something not on there that you guys think should be there, it's because I simply haven't gotten around to testing it yet. There are some things I've tested that I didn't think should be on the list (Cinccino, Magneton to an extent), but regardless, I test out EVERYTHING. (That's part of the reason why I'm low on the ladder (like 110th or something), because I'm spending more time testing all this shit out rather than making good teams to get higher).
Just a little disclaimer that I thought everyone should hear.
Xephyr said:The Quiver Dancers - Venomoth, Lilligant
These are the two most viable Quiver Dancers in the tier, but really anything with Quiver Dance can cause havoc (lol Butterfree). Both of these function mostly in the same way and both have merits to being used over the other. Regardless, Quiver Dance boosts speed, special attack, and special defense, and after one or two of these you really can't expect to be killing them with a special move. Furthermore, both of these Pokemon commonly run Sleep Powder to eliminate their counters (which there are not very many of). Venomoth has Tinted Lens which ignores resistances and makes its Bug Buzzes absurdly hard to stop, and Lilligant has Own Tempo Petal Dance or Giga Drain for either massive damage or recovery to help increase the longevity of their sweeps. They are both perfectly capable of running bulky RestTalk sets and all-out offensive sweeping sets, and both are extremely powerful in this metagame.
Just pointing out an Error Xephyr, lilligant can't learn Sleeptalk, at least not yet lol. Sleeptalk is no longer a TM in GenV and Lilligant is a GenV pokemon.
i think red card is a terrific item.
i used it in ou quite a lot.
lets say for example u get set up by some pokemon.
garchomp +6 (now banned), voltolos +6, sigilyph+6, volcarona +6... oh shit. we all had those moments.
i actually prepare those small mispredictions i make in front of set up sweepers and pack one utility pokemon with red card.
similarly, i ran a sigilyph holding a focus sash (has magic guard so is uneffected by residual damage) and knows whirwind. when ever something sets up, i sacrfice a poke and phaze out the opponents +6 pokemon. then they rage quit ;)
i really like red card.
