SPOILERS! Scarlet & Violet Leaks Thread - Data/Mechanics

oh thank you!! as i said it Should exist because of all the lore, but people are so confident it's there (the peachikeen stuff for ex) that i wasn't sure if i missed actual data or if people were just running with it
From the datamines we know there's a new Pokémon coming with Indigo Disk whose name starts with Pea and we know there's a bunch of references in the code to something with an internal name of Dokutaro and there's an inexplicable plush in the the Kitakami shops of a purple heart/peach shaped creature with arms shaped like the Loyal 3's Toxic Chains.
There's also a fourth figure that's mostly out of frame in the cutscene explaining how the Loyal Three came to Kitikami, and its full sprite reveals that it resembles the Toxic Chain and the plush and also seems to have a face.

There's also the fact the promo art for the Teal Mask has types written in its lanterns - All these types get used either by Ogerpon or the Loyal Three, except Ghost, which has led people to believe that there will be a new Ghost-Type mon related to either one of these mons (and the most logical conclusion is that Peach Of Evilness is the Ghost)

Rememer this and how it related to fuck all with the Teal Mask?

Iirc this was related to Bloodmoon Ursaluna. There were some other hints he made that some Pokémon was getting a “moon-related form” and this is meant to continue that hint train because all of these Pokémon are to some degree night-related, (with 3/4 of em being night evolutions too). That said, I don’t like his recent trend of “which or none of em” where the answer is none, and in this case, none of these 4 got the form. He did this when he hinted at the new “regional fake” that ended up being Sinistcha, when he said it was “edible” and went from “purple to green”, then showed an image of 4 purple Pokémon & none of them ended up getting the convergent Pokémon counterpart because the correct answer was actually Polteageist. He usually knows his stuff, he’s just lame about it. But sometimes he either messes things up or bullshits because he clearly doesn’t like to be wrong either, hence the “May 19th” Home update fuckery.

Not particularly saying that tera forms won't be real but khu isn't exactly opposed to making misleading posts, specially ever since he started doing the very useful leak of "maybe one of these pokémon get something new but maybe none of them do!". Most of what he says is vague or worded in a fanservice-y clickbait-y way to get people talking. It wouldn't really surprise me if by "There's a considerable number of them" he means terapagos, ogerpon and the cover legends and calls it a big number because that gets more people to engage with his leaks
the answer being none of them never fails to send me into blind rage honestly..

Dang, no explanation of the 19th Tera type but very strong implications this round that you fight Terapagos in Area Zero as Terapagos-Terastal, who is natively the 19th Tera type.

The SMACHINE's identity has been busted - it's the Synchro Machine, which lets you control a Pokemon instead of (not alongside) your trainer self. Dang, I guess we really do receive new Pokemon through a PkHex-Lite that isn't that...

We got better shots of the implied Champion of Blueberry Academy - is it really Kieran with a different haircut, or is that Kieran's cousin from another island?

The Name And Number Crunched Item Guesses are Legendary Snacks, probably named along the lines of "Spectrier Snack".

Now I'm starting to suspect that Perrin's sidequest in the Indigo Disk involves you taking a picture of "Dokutaro"/"Peechikeen" for her. "Ooh, the fabled peachy Pokemon has finally returned to Kitakami! Mind you take a picture of it for me?" And then you end up following a trail of the risen, shockingly chatty undead (whether zombies, resurrected, or ghosts, we technically can't tell) to "Dokutaro"'s lair...

So the comment in the News thread got me thinking about music again. We know there's 23 placeholders for battle music. Before, I figured these as rough place holders
  1. Terrarium Wild Battle
  2. BB League
  3. Kieren probably gets a new one for at least his presumed champion battle
  4. Clavell got his own theme so I presume Cyrano will as well.
  5. New theme for presumed new chunk of Area Zero
  6. Terapagos
  7. Dokutaro, probably doesn't use the Loyal 3 battle theme
  8. Briar's definitely getting her own theme
  9. We'll put this as an "End game" place holder. Something like Terapgos round 2
  10. And another one here too, for good measure. Base game SV had AI, Protocol and I think a third one for the victory lap.

Now I figured Legendary Pokemon would just get a shared song, but if they got remixes....
  1. Kanto birds
  2. Beasts*
  3. Musketeers
  4. Ho-oh/Lugia *
  5. Kyogre/Groudon/Rayquaza **
  6. Reshiram/Zekrom
  7. Kyurem
  8. Lunala/Solgaleo
  9. Necrozma***
  10. Horses
  11. Kubfu****
  12. Lati*****
It kinda works out and leaves a song for something else.
Some notes:
*HGSS took the Beast/Legend themes and gave them unique twists for both songs across them. In my "remix" theory, they just make one new remix for each song rather than 5. Alternatively, they can just do what ORAS did and pull on the original song
** The weather trio technically share a theme but it's easy to forget since the Primals had a unique song. I imagine they'd continue to do that here, though if they wanted Rayquaza to be like the other third wheels...that'd also clean up the list to work perfectly.
***Necrozma's a bit weird. While Kyurem kept using its new BW2 theme when fought properly, Necrozma reverted to the same Solgalleo/Lunala theme when fought normally. Ultra Necrozma feels a bit...weird, to have on regular one. Maybe could use the Dawn/Dusk theme? Remix of both?
****Kubfu was never fought, but a remix of Mustard's battle theme or the Tower would work. Both are strongly associated with Kubfu, particularly the Tower.
*****Latias & Latios have...never had a battle theme. RSE, HGSS they just used the wild battle themes for their game. BW2 I think used the "dark grass" battle theme. ORAS I think ALSO just used the wild battle theme. & SWSH/BDSP used the more general LEgendary themes. I guess the easiest route is just remix the RSE wild battle theme again; this is what FRLG & XY did with the birds iirc

If we have to summon Spectrier with something called "Spectrier Snack" instead of "Shaderoot Carrot", there'll be hell to pay.

Kyurem has always shared its theme with Reshiram and Zekrom (well, changing some effects, but that also applies to Reshiram AND Zekrom), while Lugia and Ho-Oh have always had different themes.

EDIT: Necrozma also has the same theme as Solgaleo and Lunala, at least in its base form.
With Ho-oh & Lugia, I had misremembered them as being the same song, remixed differently (similar to the beasts) but what I had also forgotten about was Suicune was the only one of the dorks to get a theme originally anyway (in Crystal, obviously). It was why I suggested they'd just get one, new, shared remix.
Which honestly considering how the rest of this post goes, they could probably justify.
Similarly, I forgot that Kyurem only used the Black/White Kyurem theme as...well...Black/White Kyurem; for some reason I thought it was like Giratina who kept using its new theme.

I was so sure of it I didn't even look them up like I did all the Lati encounters. Typical.

Necrozma I mentioned in my note about it.

Important detail that I haven't seen people mention: when the trailer shows Crispin, he's using a Kantonian Exeggutor alongside a Magmortar - seems like BB E4 aren't monotype but rather use strategies that synergize with their chosen type?
I think it might be more aesthetic that fits their chosen type. My example in the news thread was maybe more akin to Lance (dragon like Pokemon) or Steven (ostensibly a steel specialist, half his Pokemon are based around ores/ruins)

Lacey's shtick is Fairy and she mentions "cute" Pokemon, for example. Pretty easy to see how it might lean on that more.

All 3 legendary beasts had the same theme in Crystal, as well. I remember very well the mini-heart attacks lol

They did get different mixes in HGSS, but the base theme is still the same, so they can work fine.

And I seriously hope they don't pull yet again "raw Kanto wild 'mon" music for the legendary birds. It is no longer nostalgic or anything.
