Other Silly Things You've Seen On The OU Ladder: V2

-Rotom-W using Thunder Wave on this Mamoswine Probably a misprediction, since Mamo should NEVER stay in on Rotom-W unless it has Freeze Dry.
-Foul Play Mega Mawile Foul Play gets the Huge Power boost, so anything with a higher Base Attack than 105 it going to be REALLY hurting (Sucker Punch is still better, but there is some logic here).
-Focus Punch Gengar. It also had Focus Blast. But y'know, it's always best to make sure nothing walls you..... Focus Punch lets you rape Chansey and has been a thing since Gen III.
-Mawile without Intimidate Intimidate can screw you over if you switch into a Bisharp. I know since I've had a few switch into mine only to get OHKO'd by Bisharp's boosted Iron Head.

Blizzard was the only move I saw the Mamoswine use, so we may never know.

I didn't know Foul Play got boosted by Huge Power, I just thought it was an inferior Sucker Punch.

I'm still not sure about Focus Punch. The Gengar would have to be a boosting nature with Max Attack for it to do anything:
252+ Atk Gengar Focus Punch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 304-358 (43.1 - 50.8%) -- 3.9% chance to 2HKO

And while it's situational, I understand why it might not be best to put Intimidate on Mawile.

Just saw a choice banded mandibuzz:/
252+ Atk Choice Band Mandibuzz Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Aegislash-Shield: 236-278 (72.8 - 85.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
It's a great Aegi Counter, able to take any of its hits
252+ Atk Choice Band Mandibuzz Knock Off vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Deoxys-S: 246-290 (101.6 - 119.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Not even Deo-S can survive a hit
252+ Atk Choice Band Mandibuzz Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Thundurus: 223-264 (74.3 - 88%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
With Stealth Rock, a normal counter would be gone
252+ Atk Choice Band Mandibuzz Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Deoxys-D: 150-176 (49.3 - 57.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
Deo-D, a pokemon with 160 Def, gets 2HKOed with Rocks

These are all S rank pokemons
Clearly Mandibuzz can be amazing with a Choice Band

Maybe I should try it sometime. It seems like it could be good, especially with the surprise value.

2HKOs need to be calculated allowing for the base point drop once the opponent's item has been knocked off. Some of them may not be 2HKOs any more.

Foul Play Mandi is already a phenomenal Aegislash counter anyway.

So, I just found a Ledian. In OU.
...
WELL I THINK THAT'S ABOUT ENOUGH LIFE FOR ONE DAY HOW 'BOUT WE JUST JUMP OFF THIS BRIDGE SOUND GOOD?

Dual Screeners come in all shapes and sizes. Also, gotta love that coverage; knock off/Iron Fist Ice Punch off of 35 base attack sounds brutal, doesn't it?

Well its 3 attacks it got off before I set up with my Talonflame were Attract, Dig and Double Edge. Your argument is now invalid.

Actually, it's quite the threat. . .

252+ Atk Choice Band Ledian Dig vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 260-308 (67.3 - 79.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

I can't make an argument if the facts aren't on the table.

That calc is pretty impressive. Pair that up with Deo-D and Gravity Lando-I, and your opponent will go home quite humiliated.

I was playing with an old Hyper Offensive Team, and I saw a Crawdawnt. I was terrified, because it was liable to pick me apart.

Then it used Sludge Wave. Gotta nail those fairies.
0 SpA Life Orb Crawdaunt Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Azumarill: 195-231 (48.2 - 57.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
52 SpA Life Orb Crawdaunt Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Azumarill: 205-244 (50.7 - 60.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

It actually makes a good Azumarill lure.
