Simple Question, Simple Answer Thread Advance

Do I need to get Emerald for decent breeding such as Nature and stuff? Or can you pass Natures with Everstone in RS?

Is there a quicker way to get BP in this game? I just got 3 BP from defeating 7 trainers and it would take forever to get the punches and such.

Yes Emerald is good for breeding and there is the master breeder that can check your pokemon stats! i dont think that everstone works in Ruby and Sapphire....Correct me if im wrong!

You get more points in runs where you beat a Frontier Brain, and if you get a nice long streak going you'll really start racking up the points. I once had a Pyramid streak where I was getting like 10 BP each run.

There's also the betting guy in the building south of the Pyramid.

As someone with over 1000 BP, I think I'm qualified to be giving advice.

When are Latios/Latias' IV's and nature determined?
When you choose between red/blue, or when you first encounter it in the wild?
Thanks in advance.

i just started breeding on emerald and was wondering what is a good poke to start with and long does it take to details decent parents

I was just checking out an IV calculator, I think made by X-act / Peterko, and noticed it was actually easier to breed in RS then EDP. Why is this?

Any tips on finding Latios for the first time?
Does it change location after a battle, or when you arrive to a new route/town?
In that case, should I stay on one route and battle random pokemon until I run into Latios?
Thanks in advance.

what is the ip address for the currently active servers in netbattle? The active servers doesn't show up =[

Hey! I'm soft resetting for a Kyogre in Emerald with a Modest Synchronizing Abra, but the nature isn't being passed on. What am I doing wrong?

Actually, Synchronise does affect the nature of wild pokemon. It just does not affect legendaries in Emerald.
Note I said "things you approach". You don't exactly approach wild Pokemon, they pop out of nowhere.

Maybe I should've said "things you talk to" although Groudon and Kyogre actually walk up and talk to you.

Hi im not sure if this is correct part of smogon to post his request but ive been on holiday couple of weeks but before i went away i found somewhere on smogon a list of what natures/ivs level of legendary pokemon to reset for in leafgreen/firered/emerald ie pokes such as three birds, dogs etc and ive replayed fire red l/green emerald on holidays and now going after legendary pokes in those games ie reset for nature great ivs etc. anyone have an idea where can find list i saw? ive tried searching different parts of smogon with no joy? I link i saw was describing best legendary pokemon caught by smogon dudes so wanted to see what i should be aiming fr when reseting. Thanks for any help in advance and sorry if posting in wrong place

Why won't the guard let me into Saffron City? I already got a Fresh Water but he won't notice it.

Edit: You want the Look at My Pokemon Thread.

Actually you don't give the guard a fresh water in leafgreen/firered you give the guard the tea that the old woman gives you in celadon city's mansion.

I would try to start with a Magikarp since they hatch really fast, has no Egg Moves, so you don't have to worry about that, but when you turn it into Gyarados, it has every Egg Move that Bagon can learn. You can get your practice in, and get it ready for any Bagon you'd want. That's all IMO though.

I don't remember who posted this, but I wish I knew about it before I got my Latios.
It changes every time you enter a building / ruin / secret base / cave, and when you move between routes / towns.
For the best way to get Latios/Latias, just Save in a patch of grass somewhere, then run in the Grass until a wild Pokemon appears. If it's not the Lati, just SR until it shows up.

i know it sounds kinda n00by but where can i find a water stone in emarald?

To get the Water Stone, just get a Pokemon with the move "Theif" or "Covet", and a Pokemon that can Surf / Dive, then go to an underwater grass patch until you find a Clamperl. Use one of those moves, making sure you aren't holding any items, and eventually you will get a Blue Shard. Take that Blue Shard to the collector on the route between Lilycove and Mossdeep City. If you go to Mossdeep, just Surf to the left and stay pretty high north and keep going left until you see a house on the water(shallow part). That's the Collector's house.

I'll try finding a map for you.

Blue Shard - Water Stone - Clamperl
Green Shard - Leaf Stone - Relicanth
Red Stone - Fire Stone - Corsola
Yellow Stone - Thunder Stone - Chinchou

I hope that helped.

Edit: Added a few more Shard info
Also, just checked in my Emerald, the house is really close to Mossdeep. Directly West and North of there.
