The person doesn't have access to Friend Safari so they don't have easy access to perfect IVs. This means they're going to have find Pokemon with good IVs the hard way. Which means they're going to have to capture Pokemon which hopefully have max stats and chain them that way, which is really tedious and time consuming. I'm suggesting that rather than farming one Pokemon and one, maybe two egg groups at a time, they can farm dittos which will cover all egg groups which could save them time in the long run.

That way, when they want to breed a perfect Pokemon they can use the Ditto rather than going out and farming a new species with stats to chain every single time. You can just breed the speed off of a ditto farmed with speed. Switch out the parents and replace the baby bred with the speed IV and breed it with the ditto with the HP stat until they get a baby with max HP and Speed. Chain stats until you get two babies that separately cover all the needed stats, ditch the dittos and start breeding the babies of the same species.

Then when they want to breed another new perfect Pokemon, they can use the ditto rather than go out in the field and capture Pokemon until they get ones with all the IVs they need.

What I'm suggesting is that it might be faster to just farm and use dittos rather than farm every single egg group.

Does anyone have a good 5 IV physical wall? I'm hoping to get at least 1 of these:

-5 IV Hippopotas w/ Slack Off, Stockpile, (and maybe Curse + Whirlwind, last 2 moves are optional though)
-5 IV Bergmite w/ Sturdy + Mirror Coat
-5 IV Aron (ability doesn't matter; I'll change it with a Capsule) w/ Head Smash & Superpower

I think I'll just put this game on hold until I get Wifi at home. Just seems like too much of a pain in the ass otherwise. I think my friend is good with this stuff, I'll hit him up after he gets back from vacation. Thanks for the replies.

Yeah. I think that's for the best. Friend Safari really makes all the difference for breeding competitive pokemon.
