Ok, thanks Interfectrix and TyVip

next question: Can a Darkrai or Shaymin obtained through the Tweaking Glitch be passed all the way to a Gen 6 game? Can those two Pokemons be RNG abused? How about sending an underleveled Pokemon, such as a level 3 Electrode obtained through trading it on Cinnabar Island, all the way to the 6th generation?

What is the tweaking glitch?

Anyway I tried to transfer a lvl 40 Darkrai (completely legit, but wait) to gen 6, and it got blocked. The reason is, even though the game generated it legitimately (so it wasn't hacked in any other way), the DP Darkrai event was not released. Only the Platinum Darkrai event was, with a lvl 50 Darkrai. So if you get it from DPPt (same goes for Shaymin and Arceus), then it will not be able to be transferred. And yes they can be RNG abused.

As for the level 3 Electrode question, I am not sure :P I would assume not

"Tweaked" Darkrai and Shaymin aren't in any feasible way legitimate, so it doesn't really matter if you can RNG them or not. No they don't make it through Bank/PokeTransfer - but you can stop asking about hacks now on your first, regretful, day back.

Just because the game was able to generate it doesn't mean it's legitimate. The game(s) can generate degree symbols, radicals and misplaced characters on incorrect language saves - none of those are legitimate either. Almost all the data and event flags are incorrect for the three you mentioned in the situation you mentioned them in.

Edit: With Arceus having zero flags or shiny checks.

Looking for someone who can make about 30 copies of these two pokemon.

flargananddingle 's Adamant 30/31/31/5/31/31 Rayquaza and NOVED 's 26/31/30/31/31/31 Naive Rayquaza

Theorymon donated them for the giveaway I'm currently doing. Unfortunately I can't move them to my copy of Y and I only have a digital copy of AS

Never mind, just had to remove Dragon Ascent from the Rayquazas

Do not complain about RNG manipulation. It's here to stay; get over it.

Smogon's definition of hacking is the following- Hacking is the use of any external device in order to modify the game and the game data in any sort of way.

Where does it say tweaking (abusing the loadlines of Pokemon DP to reach certain places like Darkrai and Shaymin's location or beta areas) and RNG abusing (using highly calculated moves to obtain whatever Pokemon you can legally design) are hacking? The only regretful thing that happened on my day back is a Poke-puritan like you showing up. But that (Poke-puritans ruining the game) is a topic for another day.

On a more on-topic subject: How has the metagame in Smogon's tiers evolved since I've been gone? (March 2015) I would specifically like to know changes regarding UU

KingHeracrossTheBug "ahem", I just explained how they are illegal.

I'm far from a "Poke-puritan" you cur, I RNG heavily, clone and back-up my saves for rencounters outside of trading on reddit. Tweaking is not legal, it never was - they do not legally exist in those games as events - only in Platinum therefore RNGing them doesn't matter because they are hacks (and they do not pass bank), but it's nice that you picked out one part of what I stated to you erroneously to allow you to, incorrectly, quote something I'm aware of. Tweaking is not the same as other methods of generation or warping - you are going through game bounds to reach the islands through black space and the associated Pokemon in Diamond and Pearl are simply there by code, as an unreleased event, the same as Azure Flute Arceus.

As for RNG being "highly calculated moves", it's not. Especially, not with what the majority of users use RNGR for - you're simply typing/selecting in dates you want, spread you're looking for, sync or no sync, shiny or not shiny and necessary method then turning on your DS/3DS at X time - you're not doing the calculations, the program is and for emulators it's even less work using a script. You don't even manually have to flip PID anymore through hex.

Edit: You've also asked this before in different ways with different stipulations, from asking if they can be RNG'd (only) to asking with the intention to bring it to Gen 6. Receiving the same answers you received today.

Esmeya isn't complaining about RNG he's saying that discussing RNG on tweaked pokemon is pointless because they don't pass the basic hack check on the Pokebank. The tweaked pokemon are considered hacked because they aren't considered legitimate, even if you didn't need to use an external device to obtain them.

A similar comparison would be like saying that Missingno or a glitch pokemon from generation 1 is a legitimate pokemon because you can obtain it in game without the use of a cheat device. Just because it exists in game and you can manipulate the game to get it, does not make the pokemon legitimate.

My dreams are shattered. RIP lvl 7 Mew you will always be remembered.

That's heartbreaking, I was really looking forward to RNGing a glitch Mew in the upcoming RB 3DS ports that will come out. ;)

I'm in need of a Brave low level Synchronizer. Preferably under Lv. 10. FC is in the signature.

Edit: Also looking for Sassy Synch, preferably under Lv. 10.

Looking for some gen 4 legends (my ball choice is a preference but not required):

Multiple hidden power pokes from my thread are for offer (CMT in sig):
Leave a message in my new thread, might have a few RNG abused ones you might like.

Alrighty, I've given up on Rash Yveltal. Got this:

Timid Yveltal:
31/31/31/31/31/30

Keep/Toss?

Late, but just in case you get another one like this it's important to note Yveltal is base 99 Spe. That means it won't be outspeeding base 100s even w/ max Spe, and can outspeed base 90s even w/ that IV. Xerneas shares your base speed tier, but you lose to it anyways. Far as I know all you lose is speed tying opposing Yveltal, which doesn't seem that important if your Yveltal is perfect otherwise.

Edit: There's also Genesect you no longer speed tie. But I think that that beats you too, so...

One of the issues with 30 in a stat you need to invest in is you're wasting EVs to reach whatever benchmark you need to reach.
In this particular case @ lvl 50 you also go from always outspeeding to tying neutral 252 Serperior (although I don't imagine anyone runs that) and +speed 252 Hydreigon.

Well, yeah, it's definitely worse. Honestly, I've never played Ubers, so I didn't think about those two. I just considered legendaries and the few good Uber Megas.
