Hello, can some please make me a banner that says "Team Advent" (sans quotations) with members of the Eeeveelution line? And can you please make the banner somewhat resemble a sport's team's logo, with text like a sport's team would have? Thank you.

Wow, thanks jumpluff! Oh and sorry Sæglópur :pirate:... it was because i was a) inactive and b) addicted to Victini.

No problem, I'm glad you like it ^-^ Lol yeah I noticed you weren't on Smogon to change your avatar. xD

Here is something old I made. The contrast is a little high. ):

... bobertbojo2: that is actually a fusion, a disguise does not change the outline of the sprite, but I do like it as a fusion.

O RLY?

... However, a glaring flaw is that the outline has not been recolored; this is very easy to miss when beginning to sprite, but it makes all the difference. Overall, however, a deserved first place. ...
a key point of disguises—choosing similar Pokemon.

Recolouring the outline is not the same as changing the actually pixels of the outline. You have added extra parts from Alakazam, therefore it is a fusion and not a disguise. If you want to quote my Smog article,

The Smog said:
To begin with, we must define what a "disguise" actually is—the definition of a disguise has been misinterpreted since it was first invented. This was seen quite clearly when WSC #7 was almost canceled due to the participants (and in fact, the judges) not understanding. There are three words that sum up what a disguise is: NOT A FUSION.

...

Of course, the easiest way to demonstrate what a disguise is (and for that matter, how to make one) is through an example. However, this leads us to an important point—not all Pokémon fit disguises particularly well. For example, a Tyranitar is not going to look anything like a Magikarp, no matter how hard you try (remember, no fusing!).

This is the first piece I ever did from scratch. I'm so Proud of myself! All of that work really paid off! Thank you all for your support and inspiration.

Any critique would be much appreciated but just don't be too harsh (I am a sensitive artist after all). Please and Thank you!

In my opinion, add some detail (you used really simple designs), subtract some blur (blurred effect is overdone)

Does anybody have a website or tool where you can easily swap the color scheme of one Pokémon with another? For example: putting the colors of Dragonite on Garchomp without having to manually find the color scheme and match up similar areas on the Pokémon's body and recolor (and I'm talking about something a lot higher quality than the disgrace in the hide tags

Also: I enjoy spriting but I'm not that good at it, do you (and the rest of Smeargle's Studio) think a good place to start for spriting would be a Dex?

Thank you for your critique. I will most definitely consider it when constructing my next piece.

P.S.
I like your avatar ;)

Thanks, I just made it. I enjoy spriting but I'm not that good at it, do you (and the rest of Smeargle's Studio) think a good place to start for spriting would be a Dex? If so I think I would do a Closyter/Shellder Dex

Can someone make me a Denchura avatar please? I'd prefer the background to be like Diamond and Pearl's battleground (colored lines that blend into each other), but with yellow and blue. Put in black text that says "Chipper", but if black doesn't show up well put it in white.

Thanks! :>

@Persistence: Thank you for correctly taking my side on this again

@Zacchaeus: If you want to start with a dex, then I would suggest doing a recolor dex, then a disguise dex, then a fusion dex. This allows you to practice the basics of spriting first, and then get to a significant undertaking. Or just trying a fusion dex for a really easy pokemon (Voltorb)

I realize that pillowing is pretty easy to do, but a lot of the time the final version looks like crap, but I think that these came out pretty well.

I think starting with a Dex would be a fine idea to gain some experience. I still need a lot of practice too before I'll feel confident enough to make a Dex but I still say go for it. You can do it!

Now that someone else is posting theirs, I think that we could easily pull together a pillow dex. Nothing hard, nothing fancy, just pretty fun to make. Any thoughts?

Haha, I'd totally help with it. If we actually do it, I call dibs on all the starters + Spinda. I'm also working on a recolor dex for Victini using only gen 5 'mons as I just recently got into spriting again. I'll probably do both projects at the same time.

If we get one other person to sign on to this, then I'm going to make a thread for it.

Pikachu is very crappy when pillowed:

I had to cheat a little bit, or Pikachu would look completely brown.

Would this be an inappropriate place to request sprite interpretations? Just for fun.

I would like to know what PokeManiac's Pokemon looks like if it were actually a Pokemon.
