Pretty much finished with my aforementioned fusion. Expect it soon.


I've been procrastinating on Shoddy :D I just came back from 4-1 using Empoleon. Survived a Scarf'd (I tricked it :D) T-tar's EQ and then swept the remaining 4 pokemon, winning at the end with 4% HP XD
 
Were you using a SubPetaya 1337?

Anyway, I'd like some suggestions on what to fuse/recolour. I'd prefer if you'd keep the two Pokemon in the same body shape groupe :).

Some more opinions on the weekly spriting contest thread/themes/etc would be nice as well.
 
Hey, can someone make me a banner? *Looks at LucasFTW*

With this picture and this picture. With a background similar to the one for MetalGarX, except with whatever colors you think go with the Deoxys and Typhlosion. And finally, with the words "1337 Sprites" (don't put my name in there) wherever you think is best, preferably with a shadow on the words like the Banner for Erazor.

Thanks to whoever does this.
 
Well, first off I don't know what happened to the outline of the arms, but they look pretty bad (no offense). The tail also looks like the outlining is off near the end of it (on the bottom). Other than that you're coming along pretty well.

Suggestions please? ^^)
 
Galloxys came out pretty well. The part you scratched is the far tentacles, right? The lineart is a bit jagged. Otherwise, I really like it. The coloring is great.

I concur with the idea of another thread/even a subforum. I think it would be great, since we have so many aspiring spriters now.

We just have to get the mods to concur. ._.
 
I scratched a tiny bit of the far tentacles and most of the chest.
The lineart was a pain =/ Deoxys-A has bad lineart.

I'd go with thread. We have quite a few spriters here, but (IMO) not enough for a subforum. If we have to ask the mods about a Weekly spriting contest, I'd guess they'd say yes (just guessing, most of the mods seem pretty nice).

And then there's the problem of who will judge >_> I'd prefer someone who has an eye for sprites, but can't make fusions/whatnot themselves. Obviously the judge can't enter his contest.

EDIT: Oh, and that new PC of yours better be able to use Shoddy.

You could just open the contest to voting, or have several judges. If you go with the beginner/experienced divisions, you could have participants from the other contest be the judges for the one they aren't participating in.
 
Well if you ever get this idea up and running i'd be perfectly happy to help judge. I'd never enter one of these contests anyway, i've grown way out of them.

By the way, the tip of the furthest green tentacle on your Gallade/Deoxy's fusion looks a bit too straight and thin. It should be curved a little more to be in line with the curvature of the upper part of the tentacle. Otherwise it's a fair fusion with a good choice of what to blend.
 
Darn, I forgot about voting for entries >_> That's probably the best way to do it.

I don't think we'll go with beginner/veteran divisions. There are about ~10 or so (I didn't count, so that number could be way off), and there would be very few people in each division. But then again, the veteran spriters would probably win more, so I don't know.

I'll try to fix that now.

Here's hoping. =/ I'm not going to download Shoddy 1 though. I'm going to wait for Shoddy 2. =3

@Mordock- What kind of prizes would be given out, though?

Buizel-Dex suggestions, please. =) And since I'm going to have access to a working desktop tomorrow (going to my grandma's for the day...._.), more scratching practice suggestions.
 
I don't know what prizes there would be, but I think over at Serebii it's a trophy of the winning entry.

There could be free pokemon for the winner (if he/she wanted it).

But I can't think of any good prizes T_T

EDIT: Buizel/Charmander. I'll let someone else suggest a scratch sprite.

And Shoddy 2. I'm going to have to beat you and X&Z (if he comes back) at doubles. I also have to beat you at singles >:)
 
I used to like spriting, and since I have nothing to do right now it seems like a nice way to pass some time. Would anyone like to suggest a fusion for me to try for fun?
 
I am here, don't worry. We have just returned from Gen Con '09, and my brother is the Monsterpocalypse Champion. My schedule is cleaned up a good bit, now that we're done with practice games, so I should be spriting again soon. I'm prob. going to have a cool Megaman/Pokemon fuse up when I get around to finishing the artwork. Wish me luck!
 
God, you're finally back (well, you've posted). It was quite boring for a while without you around -_____- I'd type in caps but that's another person's job, so........ *Give X&Z a manly high-five*

GL with whatever you're doing.

And god, I need to get the fusion gears in my head going. They've stopped T_T

I haven't ever played doubles before. You'd have to give me some time to learn. ._.

Mordock - Try Sandslash + Nidoking. I think that would look pretty sweet.

Mordock mentioned prizes for the contests. I was thinking that they could get like a trophy to use as their avatar, or just put the fact they won in their sig. Or if we get donators, we could give away Pokemon. We'll decide when time comes =/.

I can get confirmation from the mods tonight and someone can make the thread tomorrow (any volunteers? preferably someone who is very good at spriting).

ANYWAY:

Tyranidon is done! I had to scratch his entire chest, end of his tail, his head, and the black patches on his legs and body. I think I'm getting the hang of scratching a bit more.

I think we have 4/5 responses regarding the WSC thing. Again, I think we should wait for maybe 3 more responses and then make it. It's kind of a big thing, and I just wanted to make sure a few people would enter.

Tyranidon is great. His stomach thing is oddly shaped (I can't place why though).
