Taken from the 1337 OU stats. It's actually sickening how overused this mindless volt-turning strategy has become. It takes relatively little skill to use, and yet it grants so many players a relatively high degree of success. I lazily threw together a team that broke 1400 (my highest rating, personally) simply because I "counter-teamed" against this whore of a strategy. Essentially, invoking a core of Gastrodon, Celebi, and Heatran with some appropriate support would dismantle the strategy, and since SO many players used it, it would grant me a relatively high success rate.

You don't see %s that high anywhere, because when they get that high, it's easy as fuck to break them. I don't know why people are still so focused on "volt-turning" - it should be predictable by now. Celebi alone can singlehandedly break the core apart, as it outspeeds and OHKOs Scizor with HP Fire while also KOing Rotom with Giga Drain (as Rotom can't do anything significant back, other than volt switch away with miniscule damage). Start using it. Combined with Gastrodon, Rotom-W is rendered completely useless on a team, and you're playing with a 6-5 advantage against almost 50% of the teams out there.

I might start using Choice Scarf Scizor. :/

^ this was done by me! ME!!!
I've seen several teams with Stunfisk in RU.

I've been using Choice Specs Stunfisk. I find that Stunfisk in general is too slow, which really hampers its potential. Choice Specs Stunfisk requires correct prediction to be effective, while I find Tangrowth a solid response to enemy RestTalk variants.

i know, i wrote the stunfisk analysis, and thats the 1337 usage stats, so i was probably the one using it as my whole team is there.

Looks like Dragonite was dethroned. Oh well it was hanging to that kings title by a thread anyway. If it reclams the title of king in the next stats we might just have 2 kings XD.

Deoxys-s has been doing much better. Obviously it has something to do with that thread about Deoxys-s being suspect.

Apart from that I'm honostly not surprised at the results.

also, anyone else think scrafty may be moving down soon, its been consistently #41 but i have a feeling that with the current metagame scrafty may drop down to UU

honestly, scrafty is cool, but the DD set and occasionally even the bulk up set need a lot of support.

Problem is, if this core is used in Drizzle, Celebi's not going to have enough power to break Scizor. Just having a fast Substitute user is a decent defense against this strategy; have Latias Substitute as Scizor U-Turns and they're pretty much powerless to stop you from getting a boost or setting up another Substitute. With entry hazards, Scizor will go down as Latias accrues boosts.

Volt Absorb mons like Jolteon also work if the opponent's slow to predict with Rotom-W!

Looks like people really like to use the Volt-Turn Strategy, which makes sense of course its fantastic. Interesting though how Scizor is the more used turner than Rotom, considering Scarf-Rotom (Which is the best one to use) is faster than scizor and can do more damage with attacks other than the turns. I suppose it makes sense that scizors more used though for his strong priority.

And speaking of strong priority, looks like people are going to need it more than ever now with Terrekion dancing up the joint in the top 10. Im not suprised, after all not even Skarmory can wall him compleatly.

Volbeat dropped compleatly off of the face of OU, going down 48 places from last month. I guess all that hype about Glowpass didnt translate to actual use.

Speaking of pass, wow Gorebyss is just outside the OU cutoff. I suppose its more people abusing DS Smashpass (well obviously it is because why else would you use gorebyss?). Man I hate this thing, it has enough bulk to survive most priority or neutral hits and get off its pass. Nidoking is I think the best recepiant right now, even blissey has trouble stopping it.

Hitmopnchan wins the award for going up the most with an increase of 34, wich escapes me, to me it seems outclassed by hitmontop, but oh well.

Other than Terrekions jump in usage, the top 10 seems to be evening out, with very few changes over a change of one or so. Gliscores out after his main reason for usage over the past few months (Excadrill) was banned. He's still a great wall of course but not better than skarmory I would think. His counterpart in suspect-walling gastrodon seems to have dropped the same amount as him also

Jolteon really grew popular,it has to be Stone Cold's work...
Dragonite and Scizor have disgustingly high usage,28% and 29% respectively.
Is this the most overcentralized OU we ever had?

Scizor had 32% usage at one point in 4th gen so it's not the most overcentralized but it's still very bad.

~Attention entire world, hear my proclamation. I am Scizor, Emperor of the Holy BW OU metagame and your only ruler. Dragonite has surrendered to me. As a result of this, I'm now in control of both the U-turn and the Bullet Punch spam effects. ... Yes, from this day, from this moment on, the world belongs to me. Scizor commands you, obey me, subject! Obey me, world!~

that is all...

Volt turn in every tier! I'm in despair!
Time to head over to Smeargle Studio to request a picture of Scizor dressed as the Final Fantasy II Emperor.

Also, looks like Scizor's back at the top of the mountain to regain his rightful crown. Can't keep a beast down.

Just keep on riding that Dragonite train...

Also, Chlorophyll sweepers break the Scizor / Rotom combo fairly easily

edit: thanks for the stats antar :3

Finally someone says it.

Either way, thanks for the stats, Antar!

Terrakion looks to be making its climb up the OU Stats, hopefully we'll see it be #1 some time in the near future, although that's somewhat unlikely with Rotom-W and Scizor's domination of the stats. Also, he's not saying it can't be beaten, just that it's an extremely overused strategy that effectively makes the metagame stale.

yay stats

The RU ~ NU border looks heavily unstable (was this unexpected?). Scolipede, Klingklang, Braviary, Snover (weather-free tier go!), Rotom-F, Absol (although very barely), Lanturn and (most importantly) SLOWKING (lol no. 10 in RU. how did he fall to NU again? yanmega? wasn't that banned before NU was even made?) will all move up. That calls for pretty dramatic shifts.
On the other hand, Charizard will drop which means even more SR-weak pokemon in NU! He'll probably compete with Magmortar for a bit.

Thanks to Antar as well as Innocent Criminal for doing all this work all month e'rry month for us!
and yes i am aware that tiering shifts will not occur till january
Yeah, the RU/NU borderline there looks really... uhh, I don't even. All of those are huge threats in the current NU metagame and having them leave will really shake things up (and Snover potentially being gone would be cute). Losing both Slowking and Lanturn will make Gorebyss and Magmortar that much harder to deal with. You also forgot to mention losing Swellow... rn I'm starting a petition that people stop using my favorite Pokemon to abuse in RU, thanks!!

Crawdaunt and Charizard would be the only mons we get in return if these stats were to hold up, although Mandibuzz and Hariyama look borderline as well. Crawdaunt would be sexy, I think. No cool spinners though ;-;

No surprise here.

Anyway, still kinda amazed at how Donphan's currently in OU range. I haven't seen any.

ffffffff we're going to lose all the cool mons in NU and get all the crappy RU mons if this keeps up. Please don't take Klinklang and Lanturn =(

edit: lol either gorebyss makes OU or stays in NU... i might spam it up there...

IIRC, Garchomp usage was once almost 60% before it was banned in early DP. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

THE MOST DESTRUCTIVE UBER POKEMON

Go soak your head, Arceus.
Choice Specs Kyogre's Timid rain-boosted 100% HP Water Spout on 252/252+ Ferrothorn: 56.3% - 66.5% (198 - 234)

No wonder Kyogre is the king of the Uber tier! It turns Ferrothorn into Ferrotrash!

Volturn dominating is really no surprise, you just need to be prepared for it and you'll be fine. Thanks for the stats guys ;3

Lol,it was fast for people to realize this thing is not that good.

I am slightly pissed that some of the really fun NU stuff might be leaving and that nothing that is really worth it is dropping I seriosuly hope you guys stop using Crawdaunt or use it enough for a 2.something% so it can drop.
