Haha, I actually have not played Yugioh, though I am glad you both like it. I particularly like Alchemy, since it really would operate as another move alongside the likes of Taunt and Rapid Spin that can actually go against a stall team. It basically forces the match into a more offensively-oriented struggle rather than a residual damage-fest. Essentially, it serves as a Rapid Spin and an Air Lock. It takes all the spikes and rocks out of the field and eliminates any non-neutral weather. It could be stalled out of PP, I suppose, with constant switch-ins of weather-changers, but, still.

Edit: In regards to Thunder Boom, the attack seems fine, though I think hitting ground-types is a little out of the ordinary since it is an electric-type attack. Aside from that, it seems good.

Thunder Boom
Type: Electric
Category: Special
Base Power: 120
Accuracy: 100
PP: 10
Effect: Deal 1/3 recoil to user. If pokemon switching into this attack is a ground type, ignore immunity to this attack and treat it as a Normal type.

There was another effect to it but I'm not sure if I should put it on. Does the BP of this attack needs to be lower or the recoil higher?
Would be the #1 counter to Gyara, Togekiss and Bulky Waters. Sounds nice actually... Electric-type Special BB...

Thank you. Orignally speaking the full effect of the attack "Deal 1/3 recoil to user. Deal damage to foe as if sp. def was halved. If pokemon switching into this attack is a ground type, ignore immunity to this attack and treat it as a Normal type." but I decided that the part in bold would be too much for it and would make it broken.

The whole "can hit ground type" only implies if they're coming into the attack. If they were already there then immunity kicks in a cause it to do no damage.

Thunder Boom on Ground type not switching into attack/already there= No damage.

Thunder Boom on Ground type switching in= Damage.

Edit: I'm having a feeling this thread will get locked if we don't try to organize this so it's like what Cooper doing.

Psychic - Jump-
Support
PP: 10
Power: N/A
Adds Jump to ths beginning of this pokemon's nickname.

Gives new meaning to Espyjump lol.

Here's a few of mine...

Diamond Dust
Type: Ice
Category: Support
Base Power: -
Accuracy: 70
PP: 10

Effect: Gives status according to nature.

+Spe = Paralyze
+Atk = Burn
+SAtk = Freeze
+Def = Poison
+SDef = Sleep
Non beneficial natures get random Status effects :D

Learnable by Water types and Ice Types.

Thunder Cry
Type: Electric
Category: Support
Base Power: -
Accuracy: -
PP: 20

Effect: It scares away opponent with a vicious roar and ups Attack or Special Attack depending on its lower of defences. No effect on Soundproof ability pokemon.

I think Luxray has potential, so... Electric roar with a download ability Effect. :D Porygon-Z would rule if it could do this.

Zen
Type: Psychic
Category: Support
Base Power: -
Accuracy: -
PP: 10

Effect: Equalizes Defence and Special Defence and Equalizes Special Attack and Attack.

(Atk+SAtk)/2 and (Def+SDef)/2

That's basically it. I think it could work for mixed sweepers or walls.

Mind Strain
Type: Psychic
Category: Support
Base Power: -
Accuracy: -
PP: 10

Effect: Opponent receives 25% of recoil if user is hit with a Physical attack.

Could work for the psychics with horribly low defence.

Starbolt
Type: Fire
Category: Special
Base Power: 100
Accuracy: 100
PP: 5

Effect: Always strikes first. No effect on Fire types unless switching in. 30% Burn. If hit by another priority move before the use of Starbolt, the user's Special Attack goes up.

I'm gonna sort my brain out soon. I think Ninetales and Moltres could use this.

Blowback
Type: Flying
Cat: Support
Power: 10 (If a successful blowback occours
Accuracy: 100
PP:10
Non Priority

If this move is used on the same turn the opponent lays spikes/Rocks or Leech Seeds, Then the Spikes/Rocks/Seed will land on opponents side of the field (So to speak)

If Skarmory uses spikes, and Pidgeot uses Blowback, Skarmory would take 10 damage, and spikes would be laid on Skarymory's side of the field

Reasoning for non priority if you are faster than the opponent and use this move, It will fail and the opponent can still lay spikes

Can be learned by Flying types

Soul Drain
Type: Dark
Cat: Support
Power: N/A
Accuracy: 100
PP:10

Dark type Leech Seed Ineffective on other Dark types

Recharge
Normal
Support
Power: N/A
Accuracy: N/A
PP:15

User recovers 30-70% of HP but cannot act or switch next turn

Soul Release
Dark
Support
Power:N/A
Accuracy: N/A

Changes user's type to pure dark. Selected move, can only be used by few poke's

I have an idea:

"Exploding Beam"- Normal
Special Attack
Accuracy- 100
PP: 5 (when not maxed)
Power: 250

Effect: The user faints upon using this move

P-Z would get it, Could a spec'd Modest P-z with Adaptability OHKO a standard (bold) blissey with this? I don't think it can, but if you take away the specs, nasty plot, then use this move, I think it might OHKO a blis

EDIT: Yeah, a Modest P-Z, with max spa tk, adaptability, using nasty plot then that move, will OHKO the standard bold blis

And

"Frozen Ice" Ice
N/A
Accuracy- 70
PP 20
Power: N/A

Effect: If it hits, it freezes the opponent.

Riiiiiiiiiight. They're both gamebreaking.

Anyway, my addition to this thread.

Lightning Wing-Flying
Physical
Acc-95
PP 20
Power:95
No Priority

Effect:Extremely fast attack that has a 15% chance of paralysing the opponent. Gains priority as well as 20% power boost when user is paralysed.

Learned by:Fast flyers.

Hell yea, I am a hypocrite.

Hell yea, I am a hypocrite.

Well, Supersonic doesn't get priority. Just because its fast, it doesn't need priority. And I really want Flyers to get a decent attack which doesn't involve recoil or excessive brokenness. This move IS kind of broken though.

@Davy:Scenario:Skarmory was frozen by Ice Fang. Fire Fang is worthless, as well as unused. And if there were some STalk equivalent such as Frozen Twitch or something, it would be different. But then, there wouldn't be much difference between them. There's no need for a reliable Freeze move. It would rip the metagame apart.

Here's a couple moves I thought of:

Cyclone Burst
Flying-Type, Special
100 Acc, 95 BP, 15PP
Normal Priority
Effect: Has a 10% chance of forcing a random switch by your opponent. If this attack faints the opponent's Pokemon on a critical hit, your opponent's next Pokemon is sent out at random.

Umbra Force
Dark-Type, Special
100 Acc, 80 BP, 5 PP
Always hits first
Effect: This move always strikes the opponent first.

Mind Seize
Dark-Type, Other
0 Acc, 0 BP, 15 BP
-2 Priority
Effect: After use, if the user is attacked and is hit, you choose the opponent's next move next turn.

Dreamscape
Psychic-Type, Other
0 Acc, 0 BP, 5 PP
Normal Priority
Effect: Puts your entire team to sleep for 5 turns, but while asleep, your Pokemon battle as though they were using the move "Sleep Talk". After 5 turns, all sleeping Pokemon wake up.

Dark Power
Type: Dark
Catergory: Other
Accuray: --
Power: --
PP: 15
Target: Self
Effect: Raise Attack and Sp. Atk by 2 points

Acid Gash
Type: Poison
Category: Physical
Power: 70
Acc: 100
PP: 15
Effect: Deal damage to foe as if defense was halved.

Spark Headbutt
Type: Electric
Category: Physical
Power: 80
Acc: 100
PP: 10
Effect: 20% of Flinching or Paralzing foe
Pokemon that could learn it: Luxray, Tauros, Rampy, still working on it.

Still working on them.

there is about 50 ideas already but none is going to dicide what pokes should learn them then program them into shoddy battle unless we dicide on just one. this needs to be proparly run or it will fail very badly

You're right. I would say we vote on which move(s) move on to the next stage though that's going to take alot of work since we need to narrow down the choices which I have no idea how to narrow it down. Poll? Other thread listing all the attacks and asking people to pick their top five attacks?

Uncool, man! I was going to do something like this on my own for the "Create a Pokemon!" Darn, if I had posted earlier, I might have been able to organize a conjunction with my own program.... Anyway, I'd probably vote when things get more organized. It seems like your judges are going to have quite a bit of posts to sift through....

After thinking about it, I couldn't hold this much commitment, so you can take it over if you want by starting a new thread. Im just going to close it down. Please do not bump this further people.

Can't think of a name, but I'd like to see a move that raises special attack and speed by one stage, like Dragon Dance.

I want to say that this could still work, it just need more organization and a freaking way to select an attack to actually get this started. Me, I think that for everyone who posted select one move of theirs and will vote on which move is the best and hen take it from there.

Blood Drain
Type: Bug
Category: Physical Attack
Base Power: 100
Accuracy: 95
PP: 10

Effect: The user heals himself for 50% of the damage dealt to the enemy, 15% chance to flinch the enemy.

Notes: I always thought that there should be a stronger version of Leech Life. I also think that there should be more Bug Moves.

Bug Plague
Type: Bug
Category: Physical Attack
Base Power: 40
Accuracy: 100
PP: 30

Effect: Always strikes first.

Mystic Dance
Type: Psychic
Category:---
Base Power:---
Acurracy:---
pp: 20

Raises the speed and special attack of the user. It is like a special Dragon Dance.

Freezer Burn
Type: Ice
Category: Special
Base Power: 80
Accuracy: 100
PP: 15

Has a fifty percent chance to freeze or burn the opponent.

I would be happy to be a judge if the position is still open.

Bad Weather
Type: Psychic
Category: Other
Accuray: --
Power: --
PP: 10
Effect: Makes any existing weather hurt the types associated with the weather condition. Sandstorm hurts Rock/Ground, Rain hurts Water, Hail hurts Ice. Other types are unaffected by weather when this move is used.

This could be used to turn the tables on weather users. Maybe add some damage and make it a direct attack to allow the move to be blocked by Dark.
