Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock / Spikes
- Knock Off
- Leech Seed / Thunder Wave
- Body Press / Iron Head / Power Whip

Ferrothorn is a good temporary check to Mamoswine, using its immense bulk and typing that gives it a neutrality to Mamoswine's stabs, while it is prone to getting worn down because of its lack of recovery and lack of a resistance, it can help it team pivot around it, especially since it can scare it out with its strong stab Power Whip, which gives it the status of a Mamoswine Check

252+ Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Ferrothorn: 140-165 (39.7 - 46.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Icicle Crash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Ferrothorn: 118-140 (33.5 - 39.7%) -- 21.2% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 Atk Ferrothorn Power Whip vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mamoswine: 296-350 (81.9 - 96.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Scizor @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 172 Def / 88 SpD
Impish Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Roost
- Swords Dance

Scizor can switch into anything bar EQ and use Mamoswine as setup fodder, making it a good CHECK.

252+ Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 172+ Def Scizor: 181-214 (52.7 - 62.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

0 Atk Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mamoswine: 194-230 (53.7 - 63.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 0 Atk Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mamoswine: 390-458 (108 - 126.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

:Avalugg: @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Icicle Spear
- Body Press
- Rapid Spin
- Recover

Avalugg completely sits on mamoswine as earthquake is a 4hko at max and since this mamo has no knock off, it has no way to force it to take hazard damage. Icicle crash is not even worth a shot to flinch through. Body press nukes mamoswine as well

252+ Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Avalugg: 109-129 (27.6 - 32.7%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Icicle Crash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Avalugg: 45-55 (11.4 - 13.9%) -- possible 8HKO

For the next week, our Victim will be the god of OU himself: Landorus-T!

landorus-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Substitute

If most Landorus-T run a specially defensive set and act as a Rocker and a slow pivot, this one is a threatening wallbreaker who loves to take advantage of common Landorus-T switch-ins like Corviknight or other Lando-T in order to find a setup opportunity. Once you are behind a Substitute, you can setup a free Swords Dance and threaten most Pokemon in the tier with a powerful Earthquake. Stone Edge is an amazing coverage move, forming a nice EdgeQuake combo and threatening most Flying types in the tier. Who would you use to check or even counter this deadly Landorus-T set?

Submission phase will end on next Friday, good luck!

reserving tapu bulu
:ss/tapu bulu:
:leftovers: Tapu Bulu @ Leftovers :leftovers:
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Horn Leech
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge

Tapu bulu can act as a situational check to SD Lando, as it's 3hko'd by unboosted Stone Edge and Lives it even at +2 while KOing it back with Horn Leech, gaining recovery from it that stacks with the healing of grassy terrain.

Urshifu-Rapid-Strike @ Choice Band
Ability: Unseen Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Surging Strikes
- Close Combat
- Aqua Jet
- U-turn
Submitting urshifu as a offensive check to sd lando
Urshifu is eaisly able to OHKO Lando in one hit with surging strikes.Urshifu also invalidates landos sub aswell due to surging strikes being a multi hit move so u have a guaranteed way of breaking its sub and scaring it out.U also have the luxury of pivoting out of the lando switch out with u-turn and not lose momentem aswell.
252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu-Rapid-Strike Surging Strikes (3 hits) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Landorus-Therian on a critical hit: 612-726 (191.8 - 227.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

defensive buzzwole

:buzzwole:
Buzzwole @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 Spe
Impish Nature

- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Roost
- Toxic

Buzzwole is a great hardcheck to Landorus-T, as it can come in on neutral Landorus-T in all circumstances, as it takes only minimal damage from the EdgeQuake-coverage by Landorus-T. At +2 it takes alot more damage from Stone Edge therefore it has to be careful around that, as +2 does around 40.9% max rolls. But in verall Buzzwole is a great check to it. Moreover Ice Punch has a chance to OHKO Landorus-T right on the spot with a dmg outcome of 99 - 116% which means 87.5% chance to OHKO, which is highly in Buzzwoles favor.

:SS/weavile:

:heavy-duty boots: Weavile @ Heavy-Duty Boots :heavy-duty boots:
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Triple Axel
- Knock Off
- Ice Shard

Weavile as a check to sub sd lando. Although it can never switch in directly, it’s very easy to pivot into weavile whether it’s through corv or your own lando. As soon as weavile is in lando is threatened out with axel easily.

252 Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Weavile: 252-297 (89.6 - 105.6%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Landorus-Therian Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Weavile: 336-396 (119.5 - 140.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Weavile Triple Axel (40 BP) (3 hits) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Landorus-Therian: 804-972 (252 - 304.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid/Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Shadow Ball
- U-turn
- Fire Blast/Surf

No gimmicks, no games. You see that your opponent is offensive, not specially bulky, and you either sack or pivot into your check, Dragapult. This rather standard set will get the OHKO with Draco Meteor, achieving 100-117% damage with a Timid nature, with or without a substitute. If you don't like missing, you can opt for the comparatively rare Modest nature and run Surf, which (when nature-boosted) drops Landorus with 101-120% damage.

:ss/quagsire:
Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Recover
- Toxic

Quagsire is a counter. It avoids the 2HKO from both of Landorus-Therian's moves, and thanks to Unaware, a Swords Dance boost doesn't change that. In return, Quagsire can threaten it with Scald, which can either cripple Landorus-Therian with a burn or 2HKO it after hazard damage. Toxic is also an option, but Quagsire's lower speed combined with Landorus' use of Substitute makes actually landing it somewhat difficult.

:quagsire:
0 SpA Quagsire Scald vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-Therian: 146-174 (45.7 - 54.5%) -- 6.3% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

:landorus-therian:
252 Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 142-168 (36 - 42.6%) -- 94.6% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk burned Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 71-84 (18 - 21.3%) -- possible 7HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Landorus-Therian Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 47-56 (11.9 - 14.2%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 Atk burned Landorus-Therian Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 23-28 (5.8 - 7.1%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Body Press
- Spikes
- Iron Defense
- Roost

Skarmory can swap in on any of Lando's moves, and then precede to set up Iron Defenses, as at +2 Body Press breaks Lando's sub. Even at +2 attack, Stone Edge fails to 2HKO Skarmory, therefore Skarmory is a Counter.

  • +2 252 Atk Landorus-Therian Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 135-159 (40.4 - 47.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
  • +2 252+ Def Skarmory Body Press vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Landorus-Therian: 110-129 (34.4 - 40.4%) -- 55.1% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
  • +4 252+ Def Skarmory Body Press vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Landorus-Therian: 164-194 (51.4 - 60.8%) -- 94.1% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

:ss/clefable:
Clefable @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Ice Beam

I know this seems like a dumb idea but yeah, believe in clef :swole:.Clefable can switch into any of landorus's moves.Unaware helps it to still wall lando even if you have to switch clef in a situation where lando is set up already.Clefable can always softboil the damage and proceed to set up cm (optional) or can use ice beam directly after reaching a relatively good hp state, moonblast is also a good option,in case i can't submit it with ice beam. Not really sure if it counts as a counter but i'd like to call it a check instead.Feel free to point out in case i am in violation of any rules,i tried reading through the op but couldn't really find anything about if i am allowed to use new moves on an existing set,and finally,i'd like to submit some calcs.
252 Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 156-184 (39.5 - 46.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Landorus-Therian Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 104-123 (26.3 - 31.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
4 SpA Clefable Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-Therian: 300-356 (94 - 111.5%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
4 SpA Clefable Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-Therian: 118-141 (36.9 - 44.2%) -- 100% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Kyurem @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 56 HP / 200 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Icicle Spear
- Dragon Dance
- Substitute
- Roost

Checks as long as Kyurem outspeeds and has Icicle Spear. Can even switch into stone edge..

252 Atk Landorus-Therian Stone Edge vs. 56 HP / 0 Def Kyurem: 260-306 (64.1 - 75.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

200 Atk Kyurem Icicle Spear (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Landorus-Therian: 344-416 (107.8 - 130.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Hey Hey! I'm gonna close the submission phase in ~24 hours. Plushietran, HaaiL and agslash23 pinging you in case you want to fill your submissions.
Katy, looking at the calcs I think I can count your submission as a counter (cause hardcheck is a bit in between check and counter) and Greentea570 I would also count your submit as a counter. If you disagree with this, feel free to shoot me a pm.
