Standard OU, with little twists

OU with some homemade little twists

All the sets are simular to the smogon classics but i have added a slight change to every set to fit my teams needs and add a surprise factor, which can really help. My personal home made changes from standard smogon sets are in Blue and any changes from suggestions will be in Red.

Team in depth:

Lead Lucario @ focus sash
Nature: adamant
Ev's: 252 attack, 252 speed
Moves:
- close combat
- crunch
- extreame speed
- reversal

Lead reversal lucario, threating late game as well as an effective lead. Close combat + extream speed takes out most leads, crunch is for perfect type coverage, namely lead azelf. Lead swampert is not a problem becuase close combat does just under half, and swampert EQ-s me down to my sash, swampert knows he can take another hit and stays in why not, but reversal is 1.67 times more powerful and finishes off swampy. Reversal also provides many late game revenge options smashing through weakened walls who think they can take a hit and extreame speed can revenge kill sweepers, it more power than a choice band close combat. The only problem is that close combat reversal fails to reliably ko hippowdon and I am forced to switch to latias, to get arround this sword dance could be used over close combat, with a sword dance and then ko with reversal, or swap reversal for counter, but counter is unreliable as oponents like swampert and hippowdon like to set up stealth rock sometimes. My current lucario has some high hp iv's, I am considering re-breeding for a low defence/sp.def/hp iv lucario so I can get down to my sash easier and get a max power reversal off, though I do become priority weak then, what are peoples thoughts?

Favourite KO: Milotic, I was down to 1hp, milotic at full health comes in and I OHKO with reversal.

Donphan @ leftovers
Nature: impish
Ev's: 252 Hp, 252 Defence, 6 Atk
Moves:
- Rapid spin
- stealth rock
- Roar
- Earthquake

As lucario cannot stop leads getting up rocks, spikes, toxic spikes i need a rapid spinner, donphan can also take physical hits and answer back with an earthquake. He also sets up my rocks, making sweeping easier. Roar away if I predict a switch and every team also needs a phazer for greedy stat boosters. Earthquake for my electric and fire weakness. I don't have ice shard, but i find these dragons run away anyway, the power of ice shard is pathetic on anything not super effective, salamnce is cripled by roar and stealth rocks, flygon is not goind to do much damadge to donphan and is usually choiced giving me an easy switch, while gliscor can take ice shards all day long and roost off the damadge even thought it is 4 times super effective.

Favourite KO: scaring off salamance and flygon is more fun but he mainly kO's agilty metagross, electivire, and jolteon.

Vaporeon @ leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ev's: 188 hp, 252 def, 68 Sp.Atk
Moves
- Wish
- Protect
- Ice beam
- Hidden power electric

the ultimate water counter, switch in on a water move heel up due to water absorb and counter with hidden power electric. Wish heels my team, and donphan who lacks recovery, scizor who is often hurting himself with life orb, Latias who always gets down to yellow, and tyranitar who you'll find out later. Protect is useful for healing myself, sandstorm stalling, scouting and making bounce, fly dive and other two turn attackers useless. Ice beam is for dragons and perfect type coverage, also with hidden power and ice beam I find one disguises the other, e.g. gyrados will come in after ice beam, and salamance comes in after hidden power electric. I also found I neaver use surf, and latias has a much more powerful surf with choice specs.

Favourite KO: no doubt it's gyrados, my favourite one is when gyrados switch in to my vaporeon, he was hoping to wall me as I wished up on the switch, he dd's and I HP electric for the OHKO after stealth rocks, and wish healed me back to full hp.

Latias @ choice specs
Nature: timid
Ev's: 252 sp, atk, 252 Speed, 6 Hp
Moves:
- Dracco meteor
- Dragon pulse
- Surf
- Grass Knot

Specs latias is amazing, timid makes her the best counter infernape, dragon pulse for sweeping (might switch to physchic, what are peoples thoughts, for some more surprise). Surf for type coverage and grass knot for the water type and the heavy ground type. I like to think I came up with the grass knot latias idea, I suggested it to a team with a swampert weakness, then I started using it myself, I really like it and posted the idea around smogon, and friend codes and various sites, now most latias's seem to use grass knot. Grass knot may seem odd, but most people expect the thunderbolt and switch to a ground type, OHKO to me, or they expect a surf and switch to there water type OHKO/ 2HKO to me. Dracco meteor is just for taking something annoying out, the power behind it is unbeleivable and takes about half out of the classic Blissey forcing a softboiled and free switch for me, making it a great move if I predict a switch. Dragon pulse is used lategame when i can't switch out as much and i want stab. I am also thinking of trick over dracco meteor, I might miss the power but I mainly use it when I predict a switch.

favourtie KO: It will have to be swampert, my team hates it and I always feel relived when grass knot OHKO's.

Scizor @ life orb
Nature: adamant
Ev's: 248 hp, 252 atk, 8 speed
Moves:
- Sword dance
- Bullet punch
- Superpower
- Quick attack

Scizor, a great revenge killer and late game sweepers, sword dance up and bullet punch and quick attack hit everything that is frighting, fast and frail, while superpower smashes through walls, with scizor high attack stat. Quick attack also helps to fool people that this a diamond and pearl scizor with no bullet punch or superpower, making them bring in a pokemon who they would not normaly, if the oponent asumes I don't carry bullet punch or superpower, and it finishes off weak heatran and empoleon. The ev's max attack is ovious, the speed lets me outspeed some vaporeon some blissey all that is needed. Max speed gains nothing in my opinion, I have two priority moves and after a sword dance I OHKO tyranitar with bullet punch, the only thing that could need to be outsped, the bulk is much preferred allowing me to set up easier and have enough hp for life orb recoil, the only other thing is oposing scizors who it is an advantage to be slower so they get the defence drop from superpower first. After an early game revenge kill, and a mini sweep vaporeon can heal scizor up, and scizor may fight again.

foavourite kill: Cresselia, it was late game, she calm minds, I sword dance, I get to plus 6 and OHKO with bullet punch, the oponant runs.

Tyranitar's soft side @ leftovers
Nature: Quiet
Ev's: 252 Hp, 52 atk, 204 sp.Atk
Moves:
- Substitute
- Dark pulse
- Fire blast
- Focus punch

This is my boah, I sub up and with the low speed and great defence I can usesualy get a sub up, the chance of switching is also high, so i usually get a sub up. The set is tailored to take out the comon walls, mainly steel who threaten to stall out my team. Fire blast hit's the walls supereffectively, flamethrower is suggested by smogon as it OHKO's forretress, however with my ev's and fire blast I can OHKO Skarmory and steelix aswell, who can roar away my sub and will switch out after a fire move if it 2hko's. Darkpulse is good stab, hit's other physical walls who stay in. Focus punch hit's special walls like umbreon, blissey and snorlax, who may think it is safe after I reveal my soft side with dark pulse, but soon change there mind as they rember tyranitars monterous attack stat. The ev's reach 317 atk and 304 sp.ak so this is not a gimmick set and really works as a mixed wall breaker and with 404 hp, I get 101 hp subs which can take a siesmic toss and not break.

Favourtite kill: the old skarmory and blissey combo, I killed skarm who thought she could wall me, but just got smash into the dark hole by fire blast, the oponent then brought in blissey hoping to wall me again and she took a focus punch to the face.

This is by no means a sandstorm team, I realy like the extra damadge obviously, but tyranitar is amazing with a boah set and fire blast and is there as a wall breaker mainly, not a bringer of sand.

So thers my team, I have a grass weakness, but they are scared off by scizor, while latias can dracco meteor FTW. You may have noticed the changes are only subtle, but they can bring a great surprise factor to those who don't expect it.

Thanks for reading, all help is appreciated, please rate!

Blue: Miner threats, if a certain pokemon is taken down
Orange: means slight problem but can be got around
Red: Oh, I'm screwed, pray the oponent misclicks the run button :).

Comment if there are any pokemon who I need to add to my threat list, some pokemon are easily counter e.g. gyrados by vaporeon and are not on the list, as they are not a threat, I will add troublesome pokemon who I meat in battle:

Breloom: urgh, sandstorm and stealth rock are made useless by toxic orb, I usually switch to vapreon or donpahn to take the sleep, then to latias to wall and break the sub and hopefully it stays in to be killed, otheriwse it comes back latter, and the process starts again.

Celebi: t-tar can dark pulse, latias can dracco meteor, scizor scare's off none fire ones (no point in x-scizor as he is too slow) and hidden power fire celebi = hacked 90% of the time, vaporeon can ice beam and take a grass knot easilly, pain but goes down.

Dusknoir: Wil o wisp, annoying, I have no absorber of status, usually boah takes down dusknoir as they are primarily physical, and t-tar can sub before the WOW, giving me a free sub.

Empoleon: Lucario can get it before it sets up, but lucario is normally dead, scizor can take a hit, latias is the and vaporeon are main answer though.

Heatran: latias can take any hit and OHKO with surf best to revenge kill incase it is scarfed and that is it, vapreoon can scare it off, but I don't have surf and it would switch even if I did. Only blue beacuse I can handle it with ease if latias is still alive

Heracross: Scizor can take it down, donpan walls it and can EQ, though it's resisted, latias can take on none scarfed heracross, vaporeon can stall it with sandstorm and protect + wish. It is a real threat until I find out if it is scarfed, banded or toxic orbed.

Magnezone: scizor can use quick attack on weakned magnezone, donphan can EQ certain manezone, latias takes it down with surf, reversal lucario can reversal it, if it is scarfed it is a threat and I have to find out what the magmezone lockes into before taking it down.

Metagross: latias can KO weakened ones with dracco metoer, but metagross OHKO's with meteor mash, mainly donphan walls it and EQ's, as donphan can take any hit from metagross.

Rotom-Forms: The rotom forms, t-tar scares them off, so does latias, scizor hates them, especially if they have wil o wisp, lucario can crunch if he still has a sash, but it's the status problem bringing me down again.

Slowbro: Latias can grass knot and vaporeon can HP electric, but if the slowbro gets a calm mind or two up, I'm in trouble as surf and physchich will take out most of my guys, so latias is crucial.

Starmie: Latias can KO, but only on revenge kills at high health to take an ice beam, otheriwse vaporeon has to reduce it's health at the cost of vaporeons life and scizor finshes off a weakened starmie with quick attack.

Status: This isn't a pokemon, but it is a threat, I have no absorber of status, latias takes WOW, scizor TOXIC and donphan SLEEP and T-WAVE, but this is not ideal, I am thinking of a rest sleep talker, any suggestion are appreciated?

Zapdos: tricky, tyranitar useually subs then dark pulses, latias can dracco meteor. lucario can reversal for heavy damadge and scizor can quick attack, but is OHKOed by heat wave.

Not a rate but rather comments. First, the lack of Surf on Vaporeon is pretty bad. Without Surf, Vaporeon no longer counters Heatran and Infernape and can't deal much damage to anything it doesn't hit for SE damage. Though with the team the way it is, I suppose it can work but don't expect everyone to have both Salamence and Gyarados. Grass Knot seems a bit reduntant since it ofers similar coverage as Surf and Draco Meteor will do more damage in almost every case. The lack of trick isn't good since Latias won't be of any help against stall teams. If anything, you want Draco-T-bolt-Surf-Trick. T-bolt provides better coverage and deals more damage to water types like Vaporeon who take little from Grass Knot. Hippowdon and Swampert are really your only targets for Grass Knot and Draco Meteor wil OHKO both. As for Fire Blast on Ttar, it is isn't a gauranteed OHKO against Skarmory. Steelix is very rare and besides, the loss of accuracy against more common steels like Scizor can prove to be dealdy if you ever miss. Skarmory is really the only reason for Fire Blast and he is commonly seen on stall teams which often rely on Hippowdon to counter Tyranitar anyway.

Anyways, I would rate this but I really don't understand this team. What is the goal?

This team is too messed up I admit, Latias has returned to the classic specs set as you suggestes, Vaporeon I am still testing, but I like the bolt beam combo, and super effective hits on grass types and the salamance gyrados intimidate duo is quite common, T-tar the accuracy doesn't bother me that much as I neaver get a chance to hit scizor with fire blast, fire blast also 2hko's bulky metagross, if the metagross has taken a bit of extra damadge it's a straight ko. But I shall test out flamethrower. Your right the team had no goal just counter and win.

Donphan is swopping for a baton pass gliscor, and lead jirachi will come in, instead of lucario.
