I'm a fan of this codification, it definitely helps to encourage me to use dodge and bodyblock. Take cover is pretty cool too.
By "Heavy Metal really doesn't need its extra effect" did you mean removing the part about adding 2 BP to full contact moves? Because that was one of the cool things that drew me towards getting an Aron in the first place.
Yeah, that's the part of it, but the list is fairly long and contrived and only gets relevant half the time with Skill Swap. The changes to buff recoil/uncontrollable moves vis-avis Bodyblocking will actually make the weight doubling significant now.
The final piece of it I'm still working out is density factor. Aron is incredibly dense for its size, as is Munchlax. I'm still working out the mechanics, but basically small Pokemon with higher weights (or really, really freakin' heavy mons) can bust through Bodyblocks with the aforementioned recoil attacks.
Right now I'm thinking the formula should be Density Factor = (Weight Class/Size Class) - 1. So Aron who has a CS of 1 and a WC of 4 would add 3 to its WC (Total 7), allowing it to plow through a WC 3 Pokemon Bodyblocking another WC 3 mon. Lairon starts at WC 5 and SC 2, so it'd have 1.5 added, which still serves the same purpose (6.5 is still greater than the sum of 3 + 3). Aggron already has a WC of 8, but its density still adds 1. If it has Heavy Metal, it adds 1.5 to its new WC of 10. Or basically, don't Bodyblock against Aggron as it'll mash right through you with Head Smash, Outrage, or Double-Edge.
I suppose it would have been easier to just add in DF as I was going along, but with Items increasing Weight Class it's not quite that straightforward.
Misc. Housekeeping:
Energy Costs for evasive attacks: Last SotG there were complaints about Bounce/Dig/Dive/Fly etc. EC costs for these moves will be bumped up to 10. Like the HP absorbing moves, they are not intended to be primary STAB moves, despite being the only such move on a few mons (Nincada :( )
