Tentacruel!
[OVERVIEW]
- Fastest user of toxic spikes in the game (Bar quilfish in the rain)
- Able to absorb toxic spikes, not just spin them away
- Good HP and Special defense give it many opportunities to set up and spin
- Can easily stop Cro-Ogre, CM Manaphy (And TG), and BU Dialgas with haze (Outrage still hurts)
- Able to provide support after layers have gone down, unlike forretress.

Nature: Calm/Timid
Ability: Liquid Ooze
Evs: [Calm] 252 HP/ 192 SpD/ 64 Spe OR [Timid] 252 HP/ 40 SpD/ 216 Spe
Why this deserves to be on site:
- It provides Rapid Spin and Toxic Spikes support without being set up fodder.
- Does not care about spin blocking as much as Forretress.
- Provides excellent ice, fighting, fire, bug, and steel resistances, as well as a poison-type immunity.
- Does not slow down momentum as much as Forretress so it is easier to fit on offensive teams.
Additional comments:
- Calm spread outspeeds/creeps RP Groudon, Timid spread outspeeds Rayquaza. -Timid is better used when running ice beam.
- Black Sludge can punish trickers, but also gives them another weapon against other members of your team.
- Knock Off really helps against Lati@s and choice users, while haze stops rest talk stat uppers, especially Kyogre.
- Clear body can help with skymin.
- Counters the hell out of random Sub Seed Ludicolo XD
- Groudon first and foremost because STAB earthquake will be the end of tent cruel, though by virtue of its speed, he can get another layer or spin with its dying breath.
- Garchomp for the same reason as Groudon, though you can not outspeed, it must be wary of switching into ice beam.
- Ho-oh can kill you with earthquake if it has it or BB if not.
- Rayquaza if you are running the calm spread.
- Shaymin-S if it has earth power (Though Seed Flare will 2HKO if the defense drop occurs)
- Palkia is kind of a check, though it can really only hurt you with thunder in the rain.
- Dialga for the same reason as Palkia, but earth power hurts regardless of the weather.
- Giratina-O can block your spin and really hurt you with EQ or Outrage, but hates toxic.
Teammates:
- -Obviously Giratina-O is a perfect teammate because it not only blocks rapid spin, but also resists electric attacks and is immune to ground, not to mention that he handles Shaymin-s rather well, too; tentacrule also covers its ice weakness.
- -Sub-Seed Skymin really appreciates, toxic spikes, rapid spin, an ice resist, and the free switch into ground attacks, so naturally it makes a good partner. The faster tempo that tentacrule keeps is also helps lure in choice users (Like Garchomp) so skymin can often get a free sub, too.
- -Ho-oh loves rapid spin support and the water resist is also appreciated.
- -Groudon : Toxic spikes really limit how many times Kyogre and Palkia can come in, so slower sets (Like paradancer) really benefit. They have good defensive synergy as well (Groudon practically resists ground lol). Oh, and tenta sets up on lugia all day.
- -Wobbs can take care of scarfers that constantly come in (Specifically Garchomp)
- -Kyogre benefits from Palkia being poisoned and really likes spin support to keep water spouts power up. Oh, and knocking off soul dew makes breaking Latias with the scarf set a possibility, but beware of stacking weaknesses.
- -Wishpassers like Blissey are always helpful, and in this case, can take on any earth powers and thunders are coming tenta’s way with ease.

Scarf Palkia’s Spacial Rend : 33.2 - 39.6% 4HKO factoring in lefties (I think)
Scarf Palkia’s Draco Meteor : 46.4 - 54.7% Looks bad, but is a 4HKO (I think, I did the math in my head) factoring in lefties and the SpA drops. Not like it will stay in for that long, but still.
