On the subject of the PFA awards, i'm a bit miffed to see Carroll not being nominated for Young Player of the Year...he just turned 22 in January and he has had an outstanding season (see: 11 league goals, 2 England caps and a £35m transfer).

Back me up here Nos.

I got your back man. He should be nominated for young player of year instead of Nani (who isn't exactly ''young'') and Nani should be up there with the big boys over that overrated piece of shit Bale.

Edit: @ Akuchi (happy for you and swansey btw =) ) / The chaser: did pacheco play well :3

I'm not happy yet haha - it's dawning on me that Swansea and Cardiff are increasingly more likely to meet in the playoffs. My nerves can't take that - after De Vries made that save early on I was shaking with nerves and basically hyperventilating. Absolute mess!

Fucking Scunthorpe - they're definitely one of my most hated teams in the Championship, they're absolute bastards - first that ridiculous match against us last season that basically turned into a free-for-all and nearly had to be abandoned, then they beat us, then they let the scum bang in six goals. Goal difference might be the difference this season - FUCKING SCUNTHORPE

is it childish to point out scuntthorpe
is it
because i just did

football scum list:

1) galatasaray
2) man u
3) millwall

scunthorpe are alright, they beat qpr today, shame they've been decidedly poor this season!

they beat QPR? minor props to them for that, but still - they are my bogey team. where they're involved something bad will always happen to my lovely Swans :(

edit: 4-1 is quite a dicking for QPR though, that's first class. it wasn't cardiff they let in six against either, it was norwich - so they're slightly less shit than they were. slightly. you should have seen the state of them v us last season though - absolute thuggery (Swansea were culpable too, granted).. and another penalty awarded against the Swans they didn't deserve :(

scum list should definitely have crystal palace on it somewhere

i quite like scunthorpe, and i don't really mind galatasaray either, although i don't know much about them.

I'm just hoping Norwich makes playoffs but worried about Cardiff most since they have an easier fixture list. At the end of day our aim was avoiding relegation so anything else is a bonus.

@nosferalto: In first 15mins Pacheco looked lively doing first shot for de vries double save in like 3rd minute and in genral doing good passes. After that his passes generally didnt find target and he was subbed.

leeds always tops the scum list
watched the highlights of the matches, god chelsea were lucky to win 1-0, torres was all over the wigan keeper for thier goal :/
there were so many fantastic goals today though

Loving the lack of 'big team' talk over the last page or two.

The Championship seems to have been really good this season...I don't know how I feel about that because I found it utterly dull last season when we were there and as soon as I stopped watching it, it seems to have gotten good. :( I'm frustrated that we're struggling for goalscorers lately but we've gone and loaned out Wayne Routledge to QPR and he's just scoring for fun. Call him back! ^_^

Also, @ Chaser: out of curiosity, you're obviously a big Norwich fan but you're an Australian right? What's the story there? I assume most of your countrymen who follow football support Man Utd or Chelsea or Liverpool or whatever and don't even know who Norwich are - you must be very unique. Why Norwich?

edit: oh, and whilst on subject of Swansea and whatnot, akuchi, what do you make of Shefki Kuqi? The general impression up here is that he's just a lucky, lucky boy who had all his Christmas's come at once when we came and plucked him out of the dole queue. It's unlikely we'll call on him, but is he gonna be any good if we do?

ps phalanx, you better hope you win next week or I AM GOING TO RUIN YOU xD

My dad comes from Lowestoft and Norwich is the closest professional team and yeah pretty much everyone round here support top 4 teams for no reason it's annoying.

hahahahaha yeah, your lot have it right - I absolutely pissed myself when I saw that he'd been signed. I'm actually giggling now thinking about it. it's indefensible.
I have a soft spot for our Shefki, and he has moments of being a decent player; he had a bright start for the Swans but quickly faded and fell out of favour (how much of that was just Sousa being a dick I don't know though - god knows he managed to alienate half the rest of the team). You could've done a hell of a lot worse, but he's Championship standard. At best. He might just come through for you in a pinch though, I have some faith in the boy.

Championship has been fantastic this season, so has the Prem - it's so tight at the top and bottom anything could happen. I love it. What a fantastic season to start paying a closer attention to football! I was a fair bit more casual last year - the year before that was like the first year I started getting into it and I didn't know what the fuck was going on, haha. Every day in every way I love it a little bit more

also I've started reading all your posts in a Geordie accent, haha

blackpool defense make it look so easy for arsenal who don't even celebrate that much after scoring

they're going down if it continues like that I'm affraid

haha

they lost 1-3 but they were unlucky with some referee decisions! because lehmann (welcome back crazy jens btw) could've been sent off and they should have had a penalty. props for the referee for playing the advantage for Blackpool's first goal.

woo villa vs. toon now. hope villa win (sorry lee!) because i don't want them to go down ¬_¬
lets see if enrique is worthy of playing for liverpool.

pah, no loss for the arse

and gowd united better beat shitty, and whoever replaces rooney scores 2 or 3 to rub it in to the FA.

We're lucky to still be in this because Bent was onside there.

As soon as I saw Ranger and Lovenkrands up front with Collocini in midfield I knew we'd struggle to score. Our only goal threat is gonna come from the Enrique/Jonas combination down the left.

lets see if enrique is worthy of playing for liverpool.

He looked good enough when we smashed you 3-1 a few months ago, just saying. ^_~

ahaha touché but it won't be that easy without andy on your side at anfield with kenny as manager and suarez leading our attack! just sayin

I have mixed feelings about him tbh. He was impressive defensively in this first half keeping Downing at bay and he whipped some good crosses into the villa box. his passing is a bit questionable but it was an impressive performance in the first half.

and lol why do i find the assistant referee with a cap really funny :adam:

edit: nice chest control hehe .-.

seriously? He's looking very sharp right now, especially defensively. Call me old fashioned, but I like full-backs that can defend first of all and then get forward if needed. No wonder ac milan and kenny are so keen on getting him.
