not bad, and that's WITH the injuries. Imagine this with a few new summer additions :3

you need to realize that liverpool had an incredibly shitty schedule the first 10 weeks or so of the season and while roy was also a shitty coach for other reasons, liverpool had it pretty bad, so i dont buy any arguments that say liverpool are the 2nd best or w.e

Their schedule under dalglish has included more easy fixtures than other teams have had over the same period because they had already played those difficult fixtures.

1 billion later citeh have managed to qualify for champions league, i wish arsenal had a billion laying around. Get some sneijder and some marco marin and just buy up a team like that.

the table doesnt lie faggit

---

now we mathematically can't get 4th but I would have been happy for 6th this season after the disastrous start, so 5th would still be an amazing achievement because it's firmly in our bag after spurs lost.

edit: linked with lassana diarra (real madrid) today!

Knowing Wenger he wouldn't spend it anyway.

Despite all of his previous success, I can't see Arsenal winning much in the future until he leaves.

arsenal might not make it in the top 4 because everyone in the top 6 except them and spurs are going to strengthen a lot this summer. wenger said that he isn't planning to do any ''big money'' signings

..Kenny's results against the top four;
Chelsea away (0-1),
Man Utd at home (3-1),
Arsenal away (1-1),
Man City home (3-0) ; 3W 1D; 10 points out of 12

Roy got:
Chelsea at home (2-0),
Utd away (2-3 to Utd for the league)
Arsenal at home (1-1),
Man City away (0-3) ; 1W 1D 2L; 4 points out of 12.

I'm not convinced it was the fixture list.
Let's also remember they, err, lost on penalties to Northampton.

There is no real way to defend Roy at all. You could argue that he was never given a chance by the fans and the players but - come on.

yeah that guy defending Roy is talking out of his arse

roy is just good with smaller teams with lower expectations. wba and fulham are perfect for him.

I agree with that sentiment to be honest - the players didnt really act like they wanted much to do with him (big props to Gerrard and whoever else it was for admitting the players could have done better under Roy a few weeks ago) and the fans weren't exactly ecstatic. But he should have done a better job - I dunno why but I'm thinking of Pardew's appointment to Newcastle here; he was pretty much a universally hated choice when he was picked as manager but he seems to have done well enough at getting the fans and players behind him since (my Newcastle-supporting boyfriend misses Chris but tolerates Pardew, as far as I can tell). Roy didn't get off to a good start, but he did have the chance to turn it around, and he didn't, and he only made things worse for himself as time went on. Resilience turned into blinkered denial and arrogance and he alienated everyone even further. It wasn't until he'd really pissed off the Kop that he was fired; even though there was probable cause to do so much earlier in the season (relegation zone!). I'm glad to see him at WBA - I liked him a bit before Liverpool, and I like WBA, and I think they go good together. (d'aw).

he was embarrassing at press conferences and when he said that he was thrilled that we broke into the top half, i knew this guy should leave

Kenny has signed a three year contract! As has his assistant Steve Clarke - I really hope they win the Spurs game now :3

god why have I got such a soft spot for Liverpool

if the players were not peforming for the manager it will show in the results.

lets all cheer on stoke at the weekend, cant stand these teams that buy a mass of superstars

hey you kept a clean sheet with a defender off and dobbie injured within 5 minutes, that seems pretty good to me!

edit: oh, he wasn't injured. just assumed he would be since he was taken off so early!

borini got injured though - that's much worse! apparently it's not too bad though, hopefully he'll be back in time for monday and almost certainly in time for the final. I'd have taken 0-0 before the match, I'm so unbelievably fucking proud of their display tonight - and if I ever see that cunt mcgugan I will personally be raking my studs over his testicles
