FC Twente - Tottenham Hotspur 3-3
Werder Bremen - Internazionale 3-0

Olympique Lyon - Hapoel Tel Aviv 2-2

Manchester United - Valencia CF 1-1
Bursaspor - Glasgow Rangers 1-1

FC Barcelona - Rubin Kazan 2-0
FC Copenhagen - Panathinaikos 3-1

I don't know how you predicted these but they are all wrong. These are the results. I just wanna say this: what a magical goal Zahavi scored in Lyon. See it on Youtube. Pure magic!

Inter must be really bad this year to let Werder Bremen keep a clean sheet. Anyway, good to see bremen finally winning a game.

CL 8-12-2010

Bayern München - FC Basel 3-0
CFR 197 Cluj - AS Roma 0-0

AC Milan - Ajax 4-0

Robert Green has been the best 'keeper in the Premiership this season so maybe try a different fallguy? ;p

edit: or Ben Foster? Discuss.

Inter is just sucking this year and i wont be surprised if Internacional kick their butt on wc club championship lol. No passing ucl 1/16 finals imo unless they got Shaktar (Schalke will beat them too).

Under the interim coach Frank de Boer, who replaced Martin Jol, who wants to be the permanent new coach, an awesome achievement.

Players don't do their best against weak Eredivisie clubs, but are motivated in San Siro.

Siem de Jong replaced Mounir El Hamdaoui and De Jong proved the win would be bigger with El Hamdaoui (could be 0-5). However, El Hamdaoui is hated by De Boer, they had a fight on the training.

VD Wiel sucked too.

Stekelenburg was awesome.

First half: Ajax better, a classic Suárez schwalbe (yellow) and a shot from Suárez on the post.

Second half: Sulejmani imitated Suárez and got yellow and Ajax scored twice.

First goal: rebound, simple goal from De Zeeuw.

Second goal: awesome action and assist by Suárez, a beautiful shot from distance from Toby Alderweireld meant 0-2.

In the last minute, Suárez got hit by a horror tackle from Bonera (Bonera deserved red) and went off the field with a brancard. I'm afraid he's out for the rest of the season.

As a Newcastle fan I am actually incredibly disappointed Chris Hughton had been sacked. I think Ashley can never be satisfied and believes that Newcastle should be destroying Sunderland and taking on Arsenal and co. I think those 'flukes' [I hate to call them flukes, but I honestly can't think of a better name], put Ashley in the position where he expects results like that every week, and ultimately that is why I believed Hughton was sacked. Both the players and fans liked him even though he comes from London but it must be awfully hard to satisfy Ashley....

yeah, I really don't want Pardew to manage, but then again I really didn't want Hughton to either, and my opinions on him changed dramatically. However, I hope that article is true, Lee.

Sorry Heist, it's official. Alan Pardew was officially appointed earlier today.

Popular opinion is that Ashley went with Pardew because he had the lowest wage demands out of the potential candidates. -_-

I wouldn't be surprised if Internacional win even if Internazionale weren't sucking, the Brazilians were a really tough team back in Libertadores

Wow inter is getting crushed this year.Theres like what a 10 point differance with them and Ac?
And i dont realize the point of sacking Hughton and appointing padrew either,he was doing good.

Newcastle United - Liverpool this evening!

What are your predictions? I'm interested, also because of the high amount of Newcastle fans here. Padrews first match as manager.

My prediction: NEWCASTLE UNITED - LIVERPOOL 1-3

I think Newcastle will win, theyre at home (liverpool is awful on the road) and also while im posting this theyre ahead 1-0.

The real exciting thing is Blackpool, beating what I consider a decent stoke city. I don't think any of the newly promoted teams are going to be regulated this year.

im really dissapointed that Liverpool lost to Newcastle. I watched the whole game and I think we at least deserved a draw because of how many chances were being created. They had a lot of chances to score, and they didn't when it was 1-1 and I expected that we were going to deeply regret not taking advantage of every chance like I did in the Tottenham match. Newcastle did play well, and scored some pretty nice goals (even though the first goal was clearly offside) but at least they took their chances...

cant wait for Tottenham vs. Chelsea

Sometimes I just can't fathom the way Newcastle plays

Already this season we've beaten Chelsea, Arsenal, Sunderland, Aston Villa, and now Liverpool.

On the other hand, we've lost to Blackpool, Stoke, Blackburn, Bolton, and West Brom.

Why can't Newcastle just be a normal club for a change? (not that I don't like it, I still say Newcastle are the single most entertaining club in the world even if they defy the laws of common sense every time you watch them play)

all the promoted sides now have exactly the same ammount of points at 22, so does liverpool :P
blackpool beat stoke at the britannia.. stoke rarely lose there

VITESSE - AJAX 0-1

VITESSE - AJAX 0-1

11. 0-1 Christian Eriksen (assist: Demy de Zeeuw).

BOOKINGS

Yellow: VD Struijk (Vitesse) Matic (Vitesse), Aissati (Vitesse), De Zeeuw (Ajax) and Lindgren (Ajax).
Red: Nobody.

SUMMARY

Awesome. Beautiful Barcelona style. Ajax played awesome. Because Mounir El Hamdaoui is ill, and Luis Suárez is suspended, youth player Lorenzo Ebecilio got a chance from Frank de Boer (the coach) on the left flank, and the Dutchman played a good game.

In the 11th minute, Christian Eriksen made the only goal after a good pass from Demy de Zeeuw. The 18 year old Danish international had no trouble scoring. It was a miracle it was the only goal.

Jan Vertonghen missed an open chance. In the second half, the match was more balanced, but Ajax was still better. In the injury time, Eloy Room, the Vitesse goalie was out of the goal, but Miralem Sulejmani and Siem de Jong missed in front of the empty goal, being close to the empty goal.

Vitesse players Frank van der Struijk (grabbing Siem de Jong in his neck when he was free for the goal) and Ismail Aissati (on loan from Ajax, horror tackle on Christian Eriksen) escaped a red card and got yellow.

All in all, an exciting and nice match to watch, with Ajax being the deserved winner.

Tottenham vs. Chelsea lived up to my expectations, really exciting game and Drogba missing the penalty in injury time (we still love you though), it ended 1-1.
