The age gap when dating

I asked her to go get a drink. Not only did she say she's not old enough, but she said her boyfriend wouldn't approve. It was my own sly way of checking her age, asking if she wanted to get a drink, cause drinking age is 18 here in lovely Alberta.

Not that her and her boyfriend will last, high school romance is a joke- maybe I'll run into her again when she's not 17. LOL

how dare you I will wait til the ends of the Earth for this girl!

I was only smitten cause she was well spoken and looks exactly how a perfect mate for me would look. Other than that I'm sure she's lovely lol

Just go for it!

I have date girls up to around 10-15 years older than me, i'm 18 btw. I really depends if she has reached the age of majority, which in most places, its age 18. I have found though, that people who are within 5 years of your age are prime, more fulfilling that people much older or younger than you are, because you are around the same life stage. I would wait til she's 18, or if shes already 18, go for it!

The moral way for people to not gross out every time they see you is usually in the 4 years different region. However, if you're a total badass, I see no harm in going 30+ years. (lol)

Nah, just do whatever. If they've grown older than 17, all goes.

I see nothing wrong with ~18 years old going out with ~25 year olds. At least not morally pr legally. The main thing is what you said; you feel like a grizzled old dude, and shes likely to feel your a grizzled old dude as well. Its just you are in different stages of your life, with different priorities (and different stages of maturity.)

This is a problem even people with smaller age gaps face. I used to date girl 3 years younger than me, and I often felt like i was chaperoning her more than dating her.

I think its perfectly fine. People mature at different stages of life, some do more than others. If you're on the same wavelength and it feels right, then go for it :)

people should really read: I WAS REJECTED BY THE TEEN ;_;

I went on a date tonight though, it went well. I picked her up at one of my many jobs; this one was at body worlds (the cadaver display, not some gym)

She's 25.

I asked her out while surrounded by corpses with her mother standing beside her. Thinking back, how did I get a phone number?

it's all good man, shit happens. she clearly wasn't able to hang with you and your mad Pokemon skills.

good job with corpsegirl though. if she's 25 and single then having her mother there most likely worked to your advantage.

Usally will not try to date any guys/girls within a 4 year age difference (im 18 nowso up to a 22 year old ).But some girls usally try for even older. My recommendations make sure she's 18 then go for broke.

As for her rejecting you at least you had the balls to ask her out.

Did everyone forget that age ain't nothing but a number? Had it worked out, the problem I could see is the maturity gap. With younger ages, the gaps in maturity are pretty huge. I'm only 18, and I'd never date a 16 year-old... The 16 year-olds I know are all very immature and being 16 means they miss out on certain uh legal thresholds. And she's only 18, and you're what, 23~25? Not like you're at that creepy age where you could be here father.

Pussy is pussy, man, who cares about the age? It's cool for a middle-age man to bang young 20-year-olds. It's not cool for a 20-year-old to bang a middle-age woman. Might as well take advantage of the double standard.

EDIT: Oof, Kitten Bukkake, but yeah, no need to agonize over her like some random emo dude.

I always thought it was the opposite, guy doing a middle aged woman, gets props by his friends for doing so. Middle aged guy dating some young early 20s chick and gets looked at as being a creeper. Either way this doesn't really apply to Mormey, he's not THAT old (yet).

:p
