I really hope the Cardinals win vs the Seahawks, because I'm willing to give up Clowney for the satisfaction of seeing my Falcons eliminate the 49ers from the playoff race in the last game at Candlestick.

Not really sure how you figure that, as next week would be the determining game for who advances right?

Besides Niners aren't getting offed by the Falcons at home, just not happening considering how poor the Falcons have been this season.

We didn't deserve that batting penalty but I'll take it.

I henceforth relinquish my ability to bitch about shitty officiating from the 2011 Seahawks / Packers game.

It's all yours WaterBomb

The batting penalty is perfectly legitimate but I have to question why possession of the football of all things is not reviewable.

THE DAWNING OF A NEW ERA IN THE NFL: Steelers getting screwed by the refs. \o/

oh my god fuck the lions

fucking fuckers can't do anything right

fuck this team

worst part is ill be rooting for this team and lying to myself that "this is the year" in august

EDIT: Of fucking COURSE the bears and packers lose if the lions had won today they would be one win against the shitty vikings from winning the division oh my god why do i root for these shitsippers

I was actually just about to post about this. It's gotta be hard being a Cardinals or a Rams fan, because I really think both of those teams could've and would've won most of the divisions in football. Either of them would've stomped the whole AFC South without a doubt and likely would've rolled over the NFC Least. The Cardinals are 8-2 outside of their division for fuck sakes, but they're not gonna make the playoffs because they're unlucky to be in a division with the Seahawks AND 49ers.
Yes, who can forget their impressive wins over 4-10 Tampa Bay, 4-10 Atlanta, 2-12 Houston, 4-10 Jacksonville, and 5-9 Tennessee. Let's not forget those wins against slumping Carolina and Indianapolis!

It's a travesty when a 10 win team fails to make the playoffs when an 8 or 9 win team does, but let's not delude ourselves into thinking Arizona is actually a great football team. Sure, they'll be better than some of the teams that make the playoffs (Indianapolis and the #6 seed in the AFC at least) but they are clearly #7 in the NFC at best. If they can beat San Francisco in week 17 to secure a wild card, I'll eat my hat.
(they won't)

It's nice to see a team like Arizona have success with a respectably talented yet young roster, but just because they play in the toughest division in football, doesn't mean they're great by association. They have yet to prove themselves worthy of being a playoff team with only win within divisional play, and with their remaining two games being @Sea and vs SF, they're looking at finishing 1-5 versus NFC West opposition.

cardinals 2014 super bowl champs

a 40-11 drubbing of the Colts, a 22-6 smashing of the Panthers, and the only team to win at Seattle in two years.

Had my blood pressure taken on Wednesday and got an excellent reading of 122/67.

Most certainly not anywhere near that now.

Hilariously, Pittsburgh is STILL competing for that last playoff spot, as everything happened today that needed to: Miami and Baltimore lost, Jets won, and Pittsburgh won. Now they need the Jets to beat the Dolphins, the Bengals to beat the Ravens, the Chefs to beat the Chargers, and they themselves need to beat Cleveland. All of these events are very possible. It won't happen though, as one small thing will go wrong to throw it out of whack. And knowing my Steelers, it'll actually be them losing to the Browns IN PITTSBURGH.

The Panthers were slumping big at the beginning of the year (they were 1-3 after that game) and the Colts were terrible for several weeks after Wayne went out (they had just lost 38-8 at home against the Rams two weeks prior), but Arizona did finally have a huge well deserved win this week. The league's #2 defense really stepped up on the road today, throttling Seattle's offense. The Cardinals could have won by so much more had Palmer not thrown a couple picks in the endzone, so it was not exactly a win they lucked themselves into. Honestly without watching the game I can't say for sure, but they've proven me wrong. Maybe they can move to the AFC, to clean up the mess for the #6 seed.

Fins lost to Buffalo. Ravens lost to Pats. Chargers beat Oakland.

Everything in the AFC is going according to plan :)

Also, congrats to Carolina. Proud of y'all.

EDIT: I am curious about something. Did Cam ever do his pout/sulk thing that he did last year during post-game conferences after ANY of their 4 losses this year? I honestly don't remember.

Well they just set up the Cowboys to fail again next SNF, flexing in Eagles/Cowboys to that spot. Personally, I'm tired of seeing the Cowboys on SNF in week 17, this is apparently year 3 now with a win/in scenario for them. Hopefully they'll lose again and they'll stop flexing in their failure into that Sunday night game...

If you do not think the Cowboys are the most entertaining mediocre team of the season, then you are nuts. Cowboys, Lions, Chargers are by far the teams with their shit the least together, and none of them keep every game up in the air as well as Cowboys (if anything Lions mostly went on a good run then a bad run, the bad run is just mind boggling). Cowboys and Chargers are both taking dumps on historically great QB performances, 2 of the indisputable top 6 guys of this year.

Ravens are definitely the next most entertaining fuckup, in their case a great defense being shit on by the worst player to ever get that much money in any sport.

Vernon Wells had a worse contract in baseball. But yeah im kind of sick of our offense fucking it up for our defense. Rice is clearly hurt and Flacco has just been bad.
