Wtf is that? Edit, i'm on a mobile device so i can't tell.

And hehe i thought the Jags would go 8-8 LOL
Babin stopped Andre Ellington for -1 Yard, and also minus a handful of dreads.

this was directly after a muffed punt that the Jags clearly recovered, but the ball was awarded to the Cardinals anyway, and an interception that was nullified because the Cards called a timeout that nobody but 1 official knew about.

I like McGloin and the fact the he can actually pass. I like Pryor and his running ability, but he's just too indecisive and can't get the ball out. McGloin staying in the pocket and going through progressions completely changed the look of the offense. If I could have yesterday's McGloin for the next few seasons I'd be happy, but it's waaay too early to crown him the next Brady or whatever. Yeah he played great, but it's just one game. So no real answer right now, but I think McGloin has more potential since by now we've pretty much seen all Pryor can do.
That being said, Pryor could be a beast WR if he's willing to.

I didn't watch the game myself, but I think something to consider is, who did McGloin play again? A rather atrocious Texans team atm. 18/32 for 197 yards isn't that good, even with the 3 TD passes. I think it was more that Jennings tore them up for 150 yards rushing that probably opened up opportunities for McGloin to pass. Would rather wait to see how well he does against the Cowboys and Jets first, though the prime test would be against the Chiefs to see how good he'd be.

Almost called that ending at the beginning of the final drive heh

I predicted:

Hail marry (whether that was a hail marry is up to you)
No good
PI Call
Brady quick snap QB sneak for the win.

Ridley fumbling was the real moment that tilted the game, the last drive may not have ever needed to be a thing if that was a TD, and it if were a FG obviously the Patriots probably win after that too.

Newton was pretty crappy at times (overthrowing Ginn on that last drive, almost ending the game with a stupid throw into triple coverage near the end), and really awesome at other times (the rest of that winning drive, some of those runs, etc).

Huge statement win for Carolina though. They might even challenge the Saints for the division.

I agree 90ish%, just because the Texans D really isn't atrocious. Their D line is still solid, and Jennings averaged a pretty mediocre 3.6 ypc if you take out that 80 yard TD. His stat line would've been closer to 80 yards without that huge run. As for the Texans secondary, I can't say much, I just don't know enough. They seem decent though, compared to plenty of other teams.

Are those pedestrian 49ers going to the playoffs!? I dunno but my whole family is gonna be butthurt and pissed at Kaepernick if they don't.
I was so ready for the Patriots to win that game and hear the "THE NFL IS RIGGED" for the millionth time.

a) they deserved to lose
b) shitty calls are shitty calls no matter which team they go against
c) i think me and thevalkyries are the only pats fans itt and again, they deserved to lose

the argument that we should have been up more is a bad one, it was a close game against a good team who played well [good game though for sure]

that said the call was blatant bullshit, horribly unprofessional from the ref to just say 'game's over', brady was rightfully mad

Two wrongs don't make a right, missing a call does not make it "fair" in any situation.

Gruden said it best during the broadcast, the only reason there was "no penalty" was because Gronk's path to the ball was impeded by the defender. That's textbook interference!

Honestly this reminded me of the Drew Brees sack from yesterday, that maybe was a bad call and maybe wasn't. There was a 15 yard penalty for a hit to the head/neck area of a QB that kept the drive alive. I don't care about anyone bitching about the call, I just think it's a funny gif.

I will agree, regardless of how I feel about that call, it makes for an epic gif. So one slightly good thing came from it.

Lol, he looks like a turtle. When I first saw the hit, I thought it was the right call, but yeah when you slow it down on replay, it appear he hit him in the chest. I will say this, the refs have to make a decision in real time with no replays or anything, so unless we get robot refs, there will always be human error. I hear it all the time that it's hard to play defense in the NFL from players, commentators, analyst, etc., but I think it's even harder to be a ref.

On tonights game, all I'm going to say is that Gruden arguing with the rulebook expert guy was hilarious and I'm sorry, I know Ray Lewis was a great and everything, but listening to him speak is painful.

The refs brought into the booth to discuss controversial calls after the fact almost always stick up for the decision made by the game refs, so I hold no stock in what they say, but there's still zero chance Gronk could've made the catch. The defender who intercepted the ball was already in front of Gronk before Gronk made an attempt to come back to where it was thrown and got interfered with. At best he gets his hands on the guy to knock the catch loose but unless he's Inspector Gadget or Harry Potter, he's not winning the game there so who cares. "Incompete" is still game over with :00 on the clock.

Just got back from the game, had first section seats and this was by far the best game I have ever attended. Although im sick as a dog now, and my voice is gone. The last call, no single pats fan argued. I think it was pretty clear that Gronk put his hands on Kuechly first and the ball being clearly thrown short, it's the right call and most NFL analysts agreed. Let people be salty, idc. It's awesome to see the Panthers do so well and get such an awesome win. To see Newton lead the team instead of have the defense constantly win the game for him was great as well. GJ to the Panthers ^_^

Bad calls are bad calls, it happens. People complain no matter what as long as things don't go their way. The worst by far is every whiny little bitch WR out there begging for a flag every time they have an incomplete pass thrown their way. I just can't stand that crap, I'll gladly boo any player on any team for doing it.

Honestly, there was a bad call yesterday, the thing with Brees. It was clearly for me that the hit was not on the neck (I was watching on a tablet, so there's no excuse).

And today it was a good call. The max Gronk would be able to do would be to avoid the interception by hitting the defensive guy, but he was already well behind the guy who got the pick. It'd be physically impossible for him to get the ball.

BTW, suck it, Chiefs. Manning is not the shitty QBs you've been facing.

The Patriots missed so many opportunities in that game that they should've lost.

And I whole-heartededly think that the refs made the correct call according to the rules at the end.

That said, I extremely fucking hate the PI rules and how completely fucking shitty they are, because while yes the ball was stopped short of Gronkowski he was prevented the chance of even making an attempt at the ball. If that Carolina DBack wasn't there and the ball hit the ground at precisely where it was caught, that would've been Pass Interference called 10 times out of 10. But this time: NOPE. Just another fine example of one of the myriad of inconsistencies and stupidities of the PI rules.

It may seem like I'm just salty about the loss, but truly, I couldn't give less of a shit. It's really not a big deal to me. It was a good game and fun as hell to watch. But that penalty though...

All of this is true. But, I also know that when someone gets screwed on something, they are quick to call BS. But that same person will tend to look the other way if someone else gets screwed for their benefit. Both yesterday and week 6 were game-winning situations. Either way, I kind of agree with Mr. E. There's no way anyone can conclusively say that Gronk would step up and make that play, even though that is the angle Brady was arguing from. IMO Gronk prevents the INT at best.

Just wish Brady (or anyone really) wouldn't get so pissed when stuff like that happens. There's nothing he can do. On to the next one.

a man was bear hugged and dragged away from a play...the only reason he could not make a play on the ball was that he never had a fucking chance to step up at any point, he was being carried away unable to change the way he ran, he would have risked injury to try while being wrapped up that much
