Peyton threw 6 ints against the chargers and lost 21-23. I'm kind of laughing right now because, somehow, Vinatieri missed that 29 yard FG attempt.

why cromartie hasn't been starting is beyond me :[

I really know nothing about Cromartie, other than that he was a 1st round pick who didn't get much PT at FSU. Is this the first time he's done anything significant, or has he been consistently solid at corner? If the latter, then your concern is quite valid, because SD has sucked at CB for a while now (Jammer is okay but not for a #5 overall pick)

As for the Colts game, I think Tony Dungy has that feeling like the one you get after you play someone who is clearly a worse battler than you, who just haxed you all match, then you play your way back into a position to win with superior skill, then you get haxed again to lose the match.

yay pokemon metaphors

I couldn't believe it when Viniatieri missed a 29-yard field goal. Unbelievable. It's like missing with a 100 accuracy move...

nah its like RBY everything can miss and usually at the wrong time lol.

Cowboys won and thats all that matters!

Colts lost a game they should have won and lost a game they had no right being close in :P

Alright lets consider this: Lets say my main man, Brett Favre, runs for a 6 yard gain, which is his only run of the game. (no this didn't happen) OMFG 6 YARDS AN ATTEMPT THATS INSANE??? Dude Brett Favre really lit it up in this one folks. Next game we will prolly put Favre at HB cause his avg is so damn high...When you consider that 4 of AP (who got shutdown AD) rushes were for nothing or a loss, i'd say we shut him down AD.

The fallacies in your logic are so staggeringly stupid that I barely know where to begin picking them apart.

Do you even know what an average is? That means that if I run the ball once for 3 yards and then for 5 yards, I'm averaging four yards a carry. Simple, right? Since you pointed out that Peterson had four carries for losses, let's break it down (and I'll speak slowly and clearly with small words just for you):

11 carries for 45 yards. Let's assume that on those 4 carries for losses, he lost 2 yards each time.
4 x 2 = 8 yard lost
11 - 4 = 7 carries
45 + 8 = 53 yards

7 carries for 53 yards are what remains. What's the average there? 7.6 yards per carry. With averages, every time he lost yardage HE MADE UP FOR IT BY TEARING THROUGH THE DEFENSE FOR A BIGGER GAIN.

If you still don't understand why the Packers didn't "shut down" Adrian Peterson, you are truly hopeless. If you had just come into this thread and said "the Packers held Peterson to an average rushing day before knocking him out of the game" this wouldn't have ever been a problem. In the future, I suggest you try to take your mouth off the Packers' collective cock before posting.

On a more friendly note Hopefully your Bills will light up the pats*.

Thanks.

He's mostly been backing up right now, but currently, he's got the most interceptions in the secondary, and probably more touchdowns than them combined.

He's pretty much a demi-god.

Cromartie has really been coming onto the scene in the past few weeks. 3 weeks ago he had 2 TD (interception return and fumble recovered in endzone, thank god I had Chargers D/ST for that week as I only won by 3 points in fantasy football), last week he was the one who ran back the Vikings missed field goal 109 yards, and then this week he makes an awesome highlight reel interception as the "temporary" starter.

Awesome pokemon metaphor too, lol

Looking forward to that Bills game =) They proved that one Monday Night at home they pushed Dallas to the wall. Now it's Sunday night at home again, maybe they can pull off that miracle?

I blame the loss on two things (Didn't watch the second half):

1. Vinatieri missing a chip shot, maybe he's grown too comfortable inside the dome?

2. Tony Dungy burning a timeout before the missed field goal (That's what I heard anyway.) And then the Colts got it back with 22 secs left but Peyton doesn't have a timeout to work with.

Otherwise, even with 6 interceptions and only 17 starters and bad coverage, they ALMOST won.

Btw, Antonio Cromartie, 6 Int and he was just the backup at first. He's gonna be big throughout his career.

Nah, they used that time out to stop the clock, otherwise they'd give up two play clock counts or something like that. I remember they had 2 TO's at like 1:40~ so yeah...they wouldn't even get the ball back if they didn't use it.

Or at least that's how I remember it.

One other big reason they lost: horrible special teams coverage. The coaching slipped, Manning struggled, Vinatieri choked, injuries, etc. Obviously they should be ok for a playoff run as they have plenty of time to heal up injuries and shore up special teams play. Just one thing to worry about is if they let the Steelers get the second seed, then the road to another Super Bowl for the Colts would more than likely have to go through Heinz field AND/or Gillette (I think ill just stick to Foxborough, sounds better than Gillette). Though the colts were the 3 seed last year and still had the RCA dome for the AFC championship anyway I guess.

5-4 Bills!? And they could very easily be 6-3 if they beat the Cowboys, though a sign of a bad team is not being able to hold onto a lead like they had on the Cowboys. I hope they give a good game for Sunday night (by good game that means Brady goes wild again for my fantasy team), but I doubt it will be anything more than another Patriots domination, especially since they are coming off a bye week. I wish I had wrote down this quote by one of the shows "look aheads" for the Bills/Patriots game (FOX/CBS/ESPN). One of those three were quoted saying something along these lines "It will be a tough outdoor game in cold weather for the Patriots, they better be careful." Ok... so the Patriots ALSO happen to play on the east coast in cold outdoor games, I doubt that will impact them much.

We could easily be 7-2, harking back to week 1. I blame first Fairchild(he called a bomb on 3rd&5 with a 2 point lead with under two minutes to go. You should run there, IMO. They might not have even had time-outs, I can't remember) and they kick the game-winning field goal as time expires. Against Dallas, they have their rookie 3rd-round QB throw a pass in the redzone on third down with an 11-point lead. What a surprise! He throws a poor pass and it gets picked off. Sure, they didn't make anything of it, but that's the closest our offense came to doubling its point output in that game(ONE field goal. you gotta be kidding me!) DJ, of course, gets some blame too for his typical poor clock management and some questionable decisions going back to a year ago in the clutch. He gets them up to play, but once the game starts, I always get the impression that our HC and OC are routinely out-coached.
Fewell and April do a pretty damned good job though. Fewell actually took responsibility for the prevent against Dallas the last two drives and has ever since shown some more aggression and killer instinct. It was refreshing next to DJ, who blamed the loss on execution and shielded both himself and Fairchild from blame for the offense putting up three points.

Alright, your brilliant averages and asumptions again make me look almost as stupid as AP did agaisnt us. However, shall we look at the hard numbers? the hardcore down to earth numbers. Not averages, longs, shorts, just hardcore numbers. Week 9 Vs Chargers we all know it: 296 Yards. Great yay more power to the NFC. Im well aware 40 of them came in the first half. Week 10: 11 carries... 45 yards Idc wtf your averages say. We held him to only 45 yards. Thats more than 6 times less than what he had last week! Ok, that prolly will not happen again, and sure maybe he got injured. Ill give you the benefit of the doubt, lets double his numbers to make up for his injury. We still contained him decently. that would have been 90 yards, still 3 times less of what we know is possible...And tbh, idc we won.

I have a power rankings fettish, and out of 10 sites, only 2 of them do not have the Colts at number 2. WTF?@!?@!?@! They have lost two straight and you all saw that game on Sunday night which was hilarious tbh. On only 1 of those sites, (CBS) has the Packers above the cowboys...Again this is retarded, i know we are a better football team then they are, especially when you consider our 1 loss was bullshit, and when you factor in SOS(which doesnt mean alot tbh) and that damned Bills game. So your opinion i ask, who's going to the ship for the NFC: Cowboys or Packers?

See you just don't know when to stop. By your logic, Jamal Lewis has been shut down for the past 4 years because he hasn't ever reached that 295 yard mark again. Even when he get 120 yard games, I guess that was shutting him down because that's only what, 40% of what he could do?

There. Was that so hard? Now let this be the last it's spoken of.

I'm a rankings whore too. I can see why the 'Boys passed the Colts, because as of this very moment, they really are the better team. My favorite part about the power rankings, though, has been watching the Bills slowly climb out of the depths (they used to be 31st). After we beat NE... hello top 10!

As for 'Boys/Pack, that's going to be one fucking barnburner of a game. I might give the edge to the Pack defense.

Lol the bills are like 11 and will eventually pass teams like the browns, lions and maybe chargers. Id definately say they are better than NO though

Bills won't pass the Lions, just saying.

They'll pull the upset though on Sunday.

The lions are going to need to pull about 4 upsets to get a wildcard, their second half schedule is sick lol. Packers twice, chargers, possibly cowboys, giants and yeah i forgot the rest but i know when i saw it on tv i just started to laugh.
