Absolutely, precisely! I mean, I think that at this present moment we're better than the stats suggest, and getting off on a bad start with injuries and whatnot bleh bleh. I'm expecting them to improve and at least finish somewhere in the middle, maybe even sneak into the playoffs but I don't see them getting past the first round. Maybe if we had just one solid, reliable goal scorer but nay, not for this franchise...
 
Vanek seems to have broken out in the past 4 or 5 games, definitely picking his game up. But yeah, it was so much nicer when our top line was our third line; secondary scoring was no problem back then. It's sad that Leopold is third in points, as much as I like his play.
 
man I'm not used to watching my team fail to make the playoffs. for the devils to make it they need to finish off the season playing at a pace that would win the presidents trophy over a full season. Unless a move is made very soon I'm jumping on the lose for larsson bandwagon. is this what it feels like to be a leafs fan???

Exactly.

It was a spinerama in the middle of centre ice to and a quick shot to the 5 hole (from what I remember) that went through Ellis. Ellis should stop whining about a spinerama and instead focus on the fact that he's still a sieve and whining about "disrespect" isn't going to fix it.
 
That KHL fight looked like the time Ruff put out Mair, Kaleta, and Peters to run the Sens top line.

Love that shootout goal. The Lightning response just comes off a bunch of whiny sore losers, and that's the last thing you want to be known as.

As for the games last night, Sabres lost a tough one to the Pens, missed on a lot of chances (like usual). Vanek is the only guy on this team who can finish consistently. But the good part about it is aside from Atlanta (fucking Islanders), every team ahead of us in the standings lost also. Well, Philly beat Boston, but that's better than the other way around.

Also the old sleeping man on the 2nd Nordique video was fun. Sleeping during an islanders game, and being spastic at the end of the video.
 
I enjoy that swedish goal. I remember when it was posted on Puck Daddy a while ago people were whining about it being over the bar(it isn't, he releases from below), which is interesting in that it would probably work in the NHL if it wasn't for the fact defenders in the big leagues don't tend to give you an infinite amount of time to lollygag behind the net(or any, really).

The article explains this better than I could(you should all really be reading Puck Daddy if you don't), but yeah. Awesome. I demand more premeditated celebrations. Also this is part of why I had to let the Wings/Avs thing go. What kind of terrible person could hate a team that does shit like this? Honestly.

Avs definitely my second favorite team in the NW to the Oilers. So many cool young teams right now... NHL putting out a fun product this year.

Noticed them doing it after the Washington win, so seems a tradition is born. It was the last thing they showed on my on-demand-stream and I thought it was the best thing of the game.

Enjoyed it more than seeing Ovechkin lose against us.
Also the Flash trade seems to work out in our favour, he really is lighting up again.

While washington is 0-5-1 in the games Hannan played with them.
