"Show the Canadiens that this is Islanders country?"

Is Nassau Islanders country? Apparently not when they play Montreal. Hey, we appreciate cheap hockey tickets once in a while.

The team is begging on their website for their own fans to buy tickets so their players actually feel like they're playing at home.

i am gonna go to a game this year

it's awesome since it's cheap and the isles are good? this year

also tbh that campaign is a joke since on any given day there's gonna be about half a dozen people wearing habs jerseys at the coliseum anyway

The sad thing is that wer is probably is one of the orchestrators of the canadiens jerseys....

He is an islander supporter, really he is. Similar to me saying I support thered wings.

;)

The Coyotes really are a depressing team. 3rd best record in the west last year and getting a showing like that, I'd be shocked if the team stayed in Phoenix much longer.

They're not going anywhere. The NHL is too bullheaded to admit their mistake and let the team move, and if I remember correctly they just reworked the lease on the arena in order to allow the new group buy the team and keep them there. Awful.

Definitly looks like our own rink. We usually have about 300-400 out of a possible 1250.

Somehow I do like Phoenix, makes me feel like home ;)

There are some markets that nhl teams just do not belong in, the team doesn't promote right and the location doesn't help. I want to say the issue with the initial move was that space was an issue for the team on top of some ownership. However, I think you can fit 6000 fans ina pewee rink so space can't have been that much of an issue.

I mean, for some of my home games, we get 1/6th the attendance of the coyotes but we are in a shit town and at a small college, they should be embarrassed as an organization (the front office part...at least).

Yahoo! Sports said:
LW Andrei Kostitsyn scored two goals and now has four goals and two assists in seven games. When asked about Kostitsyn's fast start, Canadiens coach Jacques Martin noted that this is the last year of Kostitsyn's contract.

Couldn't help but laugh when I heard that.

It must be awesome to play under Jacques.

One of these years I'm going to bother to print out the chart on Capgeek of players in the last year of their contracts

My season predictions and fantasy sleepers are going to get SO MUCH more accurate...

No need to worry about that, I'm pretty sure there is a setting to turn the salary cap off. In other news, gotta love those russians that thi k they are too good to play anything resembling hockey unless they have the puck or could possibly score.

The Modano Goal is instant win.

But it ticks me off beyond belief....

Detroit's third line is finally becoming a scoring threat, NO THANKS TO HUDLER!!!!

I'd assume they should replace him with Jan Mursak or Cory Emmerton, but i'd rather not plague the Griffins with his invisibleness. They already are having problems figuring out how to win at home.

CAN'T WAIT TILL BRENDAN SMITH GETS ON THE RED WING D!!!

What makes Vancouver so promising this year? I'm a Canucks fan, but I haven't been paying attention to hockey over the last couple of seasons, and now I just learned that they're on a six game winning streak.

Their defense has been solid of lately. Edler has been playing like a #1 defense man, and the other defense men have been stepping it up, especially Bieksa and Alberts.

Their depth in scoring is also helping. Torres and Malholtra have recently scored, and Samuelsson is finally chipping in. The first line has been decent (it's the Sedins), but they still have more adjusting to do. THeir depth is really helping

Finally, their goal tending has been solid as of lately. Schneider has been doing his best, and Luongo finally transitioned out of his early season slump.

Look for the Canucks to ride on this momentum for games to come.

I realize they've been playing well, but what about on paper? Even before the season they were pegged to finish first in the West and widely considered as a Cup favorite.

They signed Torres, Malholtra, Hamhuis and Ballard during the offseason, increasing their offensive and defensive depth, similar to Chicago.
