I'd kill for the Thrashers to get Price.I'd agree with that, I've never liked Price.
But they won't trade him.
Ye, he's a greedy bitch. Will suck for the Thrashers without Kovalchuk next year.
And fuck yeah Brodeur. I watched the last 10 minutes live, history being made. =)
Ye, he's a greedy bitch.
Contrary to what people believe, Kovalchuk actually does like playing in Atlanta. He's said on several occasions he wants to play for 1 team his whole career, and that he wants to win with them. But for whatever reason he seems to want Ovechkin money, and that'll in no way help us win a championship (he deserves 9 mill max.) I don't know any team who will pay Ovechkin money for a player, even for Kovalchuk. If he's to jump ship, it's to go to the KHL.Wanting to win and be a champion is greedy? Since when? He has stuck with that club for a long time, through all the shitty seasons where they shipped out/let go any talent that was around him (Hossa, Savard, Kozlov, etc.), and now that he has a chance to jump ship to a team that actually has a chance to win it all, he's a greedy bitch?
Nigga please.
Sedin twins are tearing shit up in the NHL. Seriously H Sedin with 47 points? He's not even playing with Heatley or Marleau. And D Sedin, out for 12 games (I think), and he's still over point per game.
The Canucks got one hell of a deal when they signed them.
Somebody could miss 81 games of the season and still average a point per game. I don't see how mentioning his injury makes his PPG average any more amazing.
the sedins have been steady point per game producers for a few seasons now i really don't understand why this is a shocker
He also plays around 3 minutes a night more than Thornton, which isn't immaterial since that's about the difference between a first and second liner on most teams. That's not to take anything way from Henrik, but the advantage of having a weaker roster around you is that you play more and play in a higher percentage of scoring situations, whereas San Jose's deeper roster allows those chances to be distributed more, especially with a second power play unit that has Clowe/Pavelski/Heatley at forward recently. I'm not really sure why his fellow Sedin and one of the other higher end Canuck forwards counts as a big drop in talent from Marleau (hadn't everyone given up on him a couple years ago?)/Setoguichi(no one even knew who he was two years ago)/Heatley(Edmonton is still trying to forget him).
The point about breaking them up is interesting, but with Henrik's solo success I have to wonder if he's a little more Gwen Stefani and Daniel is a little more No Doubt, though...
