The Everything NHL Thread

I just maintain that we need a 5v5 shoot out to make that part of the game a little more...even I guess, for both sides and to reinforce the excitement of a shootout for fans.
 
What a way to get out of the All Star Break... YEAH!!! LET'S MAKE THE CELLAR DWELLIN' SENATORS LOOK LIKE A TOUGH TEAM BY GIVING UP 5 GOALS TO THEM IN A REALLY CLOSE GAME!!! Kudos to Johan Franzen who actually wanted to win....

Oh, and the Coyotes are making me look bad for defending them.... STOP DOING THAT!!!

shootouts are a terrible way to decide games. Yes they are better than ties but they still suck

Nobody in Calgary. Its shit like this that makes them such a hard team to cheer for because I just know that a whole world of bedshitting awaits this team. It's the only thing this team can do consistently: raise hopes and then dash them.

Don't get me wrong, it's nice to see them win and I want them to win but I am just sick beyond sick of this teams inconsistency, it's hard to get into it with them being such retards. Who knows, maybe now that sutter has fucked off this team will succeed? It is, after all, a decent team on paper.

For those that didn't see it already, 3 fights and 2 goals within first minute and 20 seconds!
 
I can't express in words how awesome that video is.

Canes and Thrashers both lost outright last night. Sabres have 3 games in hand on Carolina, 4 on Atlanta, and 3-4 on everyone ahead of them in the East. HERE IT COMES.

He's not a bum. After he signed his big contract, he took the Islanders to the playoffs and looked like a franchise goalie. He is just injury prone.
 
flames and kings in Shoot out. THIS is exciting. Kings win in 7th round after 3 posts are hit. Kings move into 8th, flames once again disappoint me. At least they put on a good shot in the shootout, it wasn't just 3 shooters and DONE.
 
People only complain about the shootut if their favourite team sucks at it. Its exciting and showcases the players' skill. Watch the LA-Calgary SO, best one ive seen in a while.
 
My favorite team is the flames, they are second best in the league at shootouts, apparently. That's what the announcer said. Though I concede that flames/kings shootouts was exciting (best two teams going at it), I can confirm that someone cheering for a team good at shootouts dislikes shootouts in the form of this statement:

I dislike shootouts.
