lol it will drop to like 6-3 by tomorrow i'm sure. he just needs leclaire to have a good game today to take two goalie stats and then PIM is pretty much in the air as are shots on goal.
 
If it makes you feel any better, Jackal, you should get ground from playing me next week, Havlat has a 'day by day' groin pull which means he'll be back in February knowing him and Holmstrom is gone until the middle of week after next too :( In addition to Avery potentially not playing Wednesday's game, my team is all broken atm ><


I enjoyed watching the Wings light up the Wild with Zetterberg and Holmstrom both on the bench though, lol.

EDIT: Havlat will still probably be out until I turn 30 but Holmstrom might actually be back next week and Avery was back in time to win PIM for me yesterday so I might at least put up a fight. Sorry gr33n, I stole a bunch of points on the last day there :X
 
Synre and I are movin' on up! Leclaire didn't play and my recent defensemen addition provided the clutch 2 PIM I needed to ensure a 9-0-1 week. I kind of feel bad since Bullet had half his active skaters on the bench on Saturday but whatever.

I think I'd personally go for Zdeno Chara

but ok Pronger is a contender, also add in Shane Doan & Sean Avery.

on a very exciting side note : I got a Canadiens ticket for a game against the Islanders in february from my sister for christmas :)
 
Sabres game was awesome Friday night. My gf and I were in the very last row, but in my opinion had great seats becase we could see EVERYTHING. A couple sat next to us, and the woman had gotten the guy his ticket for Christmas too, except he was a Flyers fan. It was cool though, because he and I ribbed each other the whole time. Sabres pulled it out with 3 minutes left, then went to Philly and won the next night in SO. 5 wins in a row, shit yeah boys, 6th place in Eastern Conference... and 4th in Northeast. Shows how utterly ridiculous our division is, but keep in mind all the other teams give at least 2 games to us on the schedule. ESPN has us up to 10th in the power rankings, YEAH BABY.

EDIT: I also love the fact that only 3 teams have scored more goals than the Sabres this season, yet none of our players are very high on the league stats sheet. We really spread it out, even without Briere and Drury every single line we put on the ice is dangerous.

Also to comment on the Sabres, I'd say they have a better offense than the GF really accounts for since they started so slow, I'd say at the very least they are stronger offensively than Carolina(118-110) although they may pass them before they have an even number of games anyway. I'm excited about that Jan 1st game - likely not nearly as excited as you since I won't actually be there, but I haven't seen an outdoor game live before so I think it'll be fun. One of my favorite teams vs. one of my least favorite too and that always makes things more interesting.


Also Avery would also be in my top 5 I think Vin! I kind of dislike having him on my fantasy team but I haven't really had adequate reason to get rid of him yet although it's becoming gradually more appealing as the season wears on since my roster only has enough room for one Havlat.
 
2:07 am here, and waiting for the last 40 minutes of the auction to end. It's quite an investment, but damn I would love that jersey. Too bad it's one size too big (xl), but it's an item you don't see everyday.

And how on earth did you get that puck Jackal? Got it signed by Roy yourself?
 
my dad got it in some advertising deal with a radio representative broadcasting the game, and I just checked it out I dont think it was actually used in the game lol, just a commerative puck that says ALL STAR GAME, but the signature is real :)
 
kind of lamenting my decision to play Semin instead of Avery, would normally have played Avery over him but Carolina isn't exactly a rival and he's one game off an injury so I figured he'd probably avoid the rough stuff a bit more than he did. Lost 24 PIMs (and was even in all other stats) on that one, but 5 PPP, 3 Goals, 8 Assists, and +5 is pretty good considering two of my better players that would normally have been playing tonight are injured in Holmstrom and Havlat.
 
Whoo I got a shut out from Osgood! Too bad I played Miller to almost completely cancel that out. If only I had played Khabibulin instead..
 
here's something that really annoys me that I just found out now :

an injured player doesnt take a roster spot.

I wish I would have have known that before, simon gagne wouldnt have taken a regular spot in my roster all season long and maybe I would have kept fleury in my team.

found that out quite early in the season, after dropping Havlat though, who was on IR already when I drafted him. Not a big loss though I guess, seeing I had Souray on IR for a few months and Sakic for the upcoming 2 months.
 
lol vineon i thought i asked you about that a while ago and you said to me that it didn't matter since you were rotating guys in and out and you had nobody else to put in his roster slot

no you asked me why I had him playing when he was injured, I answered saying we never know we've seen hurt players on IR play so I might as well put him there rather than on the bench if I have nobody else.
 
oh ok

well i figured the whole IR thing out by looking at other people's teams so it's pretty surprising to me that you never noticed
