Regirock & Rhyperior then turn on you & you are forced to meet you doom...But then for some mysterious reason you black out, randomly saving yourself from their wrath, & the next thing you know, you're at a Pokemon Centre! Good for you...

You throw the Heal Ball at Mawile & it makes contact. Mawile goes inside & the ball starts wobbling hard...First wobble, a little bit of resistance. Second wobble, it starts to look rather shaky for you...Third wobble, & Mawile is fighting hard, but eventually, the ball settles. Mawile had given up & Mawile is yours. You throw the Poke Ball & see that Mawile is healthy. You then pick up a Mental Herb that Klang dropped & seeing nothing else, you move on.

Iron Dungeon - Steel Forest

You come to perhaps the oddest structure you've ever seen. No, it's not the fact you're looking at a bunch of trees and grass in the middle of what to this point has been a bland, lifeless dungeon. It's more the fact that every single trunk, branch, and blade is made out of solid steel. It's still flexible enough for some semblance of wind to impact it, but otherwise this is the oddest combination of nature and hard metal you've ever seen.

Over to the side you see a thorny patch of grass blocking the way to the exit on the other side. It appears to be a nest of some sort, but the only other way around requires you to go through densely packed trees. Neither path looks safe, and as you look around you can here the inhabitants of the area swarming around you. Time to make a decision. Where do you go?

a) go through the thorny briar.
b) go through the dense woods.

Iron Dungeon - Steel Forest

You make your way through the dense woods, and everything appears alright for a little while. As you are about to reach the end, you get ambushed, and Spinner is ambushed by Scizor. It grabs them in its claws and whisks them away into the forest. It will take you two rounds to find your lost Pokemon in the thickets. Scizor makes it even more difficult to reach its location by summoning Rain Dance, then using Agility to make himself faster! Looks like your Pokemon is on its own.

Scizor opens with a powerful chop that looks scary, but Spinner ends up parrying the attack by throwing up a barrier which blocks the attack. Scizor doesn't stop trying, however, striking Spinner with a more powerful, critical chop that does a lot of damage. Spinner then responds by firing an electrical pulse which paralyses Scizor. However, Scizor still ends up outspeeding Spinner as he strikes with a weaker chop, & Spinner wraps up with a bolt of lightning which zaps Scizor.

Things look grim for Scizor, but what will you do? Issue your actions.

Iron Dungeon - Steel Forest

Zap-Happy opens by putting up a Reflective Barrier which protects its entire team from physical attacks. Omnom, who's new to the team, immediately starts by getting rid of the rain & replacing it with the sun, as Grass Skirt takes the moment to Chill out, taking a break. Scizor then uses a bit of his berry to unleash an aquatic attack at Grass Skirt, but it fails to make a dent in his armour.

Not giving up, Scizor then gets a surprising jump making a few Acrobatic moves to strike Grass Skirt, for some damage, but not much. Grass Skirt, who's now a lot more faster than before, Chills out, as Zap-Happy blasts Scizor with another bolt of lightning, & Omnom rounds out by making bad insults which offend Scizor.

Swarm: (Innate) When this Pokemon’s HP is lower than 33% (flat), the Base Attack Power of any Bug-typed attack is increased by 2. (eg Silver Wind goes from 6 to 8, X-Scissor from 8 to 10)
Technician: (Innate) This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their attacks that normally deal 6 or below base damage to have their base damage multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Iron Dungeon - External Staircase

You come to a staircase that runs along the outside of the large steel tower. You find that there are no rails and that the wind is whipping dangerously. Carefully, you maneuver slowly around the stairs to try to avoid falling, but just then, two Skarmory soar past and begin making a round to attack you!

You can either stand on this precarious perch and face the Skarmory, or you can rush your way across and suffer whatever attacks the Skarmory try to inflict. What will you do?

A) Rush across the stairs to the end!
B) Attack the Skarmory!

Iron Dungeon - External Staircase

You rush across the stairway to the end as quick as you can, but in your rush accidentally drop one of your Heal Balls over the side of the ledge! You curse at your clumsiness, but are just glad that you moved quick enough to avoid attack from the Skarmory. You continue on your way.

Iron Dungeon - Iron Cage

You come to the pit of the desolate dungeon surrounded by what appears to be a junkyard of broken machine parts. Shrapnel is littered around the room in a disgusting, decrepit clutter. The entire room has a dingy quality to it, despite having all the pretense of a regal palace. What isn't covered in junk shines with an unnatural sheen, polished beyond all reason. Most unfathomable is a giant thrown in the background that has all the markings of a machine, complete with gear prints, and sitting on the thrown is an iron king whose weapon of choice appears to be vicious claws. Whatever the case may be, he doesn't look honorable, but is clearly wealthy beyond imagine, for in his parlor lies a stone on a pedestal that exactly matches the stone in the mosaic at the entrance.

You grab the item and obtain the Steel Pearl

A ghastly mechanical screech follows, and the statue of the king stands up and glares menacingly. He approaches with immense, clanging steps. As he stands before you, a giant weights fall, sealing the doors. The Kings entire body starts evaporating into a sickening iron shrapnel, and before you the king transforms into a Registeel. Registeel gives a cry and all of the junk accumulated in the room arises and starts whirlwing about. Chunks of it hit your skin and start ripping the edges of your clothes... This is not going well. Also, a Bastiodon joins Registeel to assist in the battle!

smash takes a deep breath and closed his eyes. This was his moment-what he'd trained and worked and fought for. The two massive Pokemon were certainly intimidating, but he had faith in his team. He would do it.

smash opened his eyes and started yelling orders.

Grass Skirt, use Earth Power then chill! IF Bastiodon uses Metal Burst on action one, chill instead! IF you are ever hit by Stone Edge, use Counter!

Zap-Happy, use Reflect then Light Screen (cover everybody except Omnom). IF you get Taunted, replace your remaining actions with Thunder! IF you see Bastiodon beginning a Metal Burst, change the target of Thunder (if you are using it) to Registeel!

Omnom, use Taunt then Taunt on Registeel! IF your Taunt on Bastiodon A1 fails somehow, use Taunt on it again A2!

Buzz, time to prove your worth! Use Rock Smash, then Brick Break! IF Bastiodon starts a Counter or Metal Burst, use Swords Dance for the remainder of your actions!

The targeting priority for all attacks is Bastiodon, then Registeel unless noted.

Iron Dungeon - Iron Cage

At this point, Grass Skirt starts to get ripped up by the shrapnel.

Suitably annoyed, smash stared down the two iron behemoths once more. Although the loss of Zap-Happy stung, Grass Skirt, Omnom and Buzz looked ready to go.

Grass Skirt, start off with Earth Power and follow up with a chill! IF Bastiodon uses Metal Burst on action 1, use chill instead! IF you are hit by Stone Edge, use Counter!

Omnom, use Taunt then Taunt on Registeel! IF for your Taunt on Bastiodon fails on action 1, use Taunt on Bastiodon instead of Registeel action 2! IF Bastiodon uses Protect action 1, use Taunt on Registeel instead and change the target of the a2 Taunt to Bastiodon!

Buzz, use Light Screen then Rock Smash! IF Bastiodon starts charging a Metal Burst on action 2 AND you would be using Rock Smash, use Swords Dance instead! IF Thunder Wave is used on Omnom action 1, bodyblock it and move actions down!

Targeting priority is Bastiodon, then Registeel unless specifically noted

Iron Dungeon - Iron Cage

Buzz opens up by surrounding his teammates in a golden box which protects his team from Special Attacks. Omnom then makes offensive insults at Bastiodon which offends him. Grass Skirt then detonates the ground beneath Bastiodon for some damage, as Registeel chops Buzz, breaking the protective Golden Box around him. Bastiodon then roasts Buzz critically with a powerful stream of fire, as Grass Skirt starts to feel wounded from the shrapnel.

Buzz then swipes at Bastiodon with his arm, which lowers Bastiodon's Defence, as Omnom offends Registeel with more insults. Grass Skirt takes a break, as Registeel strikes Buzz with its head. To finish off, Bastiodon then launches a powerful fire at Buzz which roasts him critically, as Grass Skirt continues to take damage from the shrapnel.

Fairly solid start, but things look tough for Buzz! What will you do? Issue your actions.
