I would much rather Cleveland win, because they are the underdogs in the matchup and it would annoy all the "gloryhangers" who only started supporting boston after they got the big 3

Personally, I'm a suns fan, so all I can do know is route against the teams that I hate, so I'm picking Boston over Cleveland mainly because I think they have the best chance to beat the Pistons in the East Finals. I despise Detroit the most, followed by Dallas and the Spurs. Go Hornets and Celtics!

Except Washington in Game 5 of Round 1.

i bet you feel so clever bluntly stating the obvious. lebron missed a shot that he makes 90% of the time. i'll take our odds.

yes, i realize i am being optimistic about beating the statistically best team in the league. that's kind of retarded in itself. but i don't think anyone can argue that if there is a team in the east to take out the celtics, it's going to be cleveland.

GO CAVS

Lebron is a baby who is always crying about "he's hurting me"

how can you even begin to make the argument that lebron's a "cry baby" when teams are so desperate to stop him from going to the rim that they IMMEDIATELY double team him, and in pretty much any fast break, wrap him up before he even gets into the key.

you really don't think that when he's jumping towards the rim that there is no contact?

look, sometimes there are just straight up bad calls, but i guarantee you lebron is getting no more phantom calls than anyone else in the league. there's a reason he gets those calls.

think about it. there's NEVER been a person of lebron's size that could move like him. you could maybe bring magic johnson into the argument, but lebron is definitely superior in terms of raw athleticism. he's as quick as a smaller point guard and makes equally impressive cuts.....except he's 6'9", can jump higher than everyone else, and has some of the most impressive upper body strength in the league for only being 23.

look, i'm not trying to turn this into a sucking lebron's dickfest, and you can even argue that maybe he's not even that great of a pure basketball shooter because while he can hit next to impossible shots, he really does brick a decent amount of the comparatively open shots he takes. but for fucks sake, you're looking at the best raw athlete the nba has ever seen....ever

the guy beat dwight fucking howard in a jump ball...who was also the dunk champion and has a good 3 inches on him

The Spurs, for whatever reason, think they can foul everyone and get away with it ofuck da spurs_O

Yeah, the Hornets have beaten my expectations and given the spurs a roasting. If they can keep it together and win on the road, they could go all the way.

I definitely do not understand the whole Kobe as MVP because he did not get it before thing. He has a couple more rebounds and six less points and the same assists...yet he is 'more of a passer' and whatever else this year? Uh, no, he got a dominant Andrew Bynum, Lamar Odom and some young players (Sasha, Jordan Farmar, et cetera) stepping up their play, and then when Bynum went down, he got Gasol. Paul's ridiculously great running of his team is more impressive. Kobe should have been MVP two years ago, and Chris Paul should be this year.

I'm glad the Celtics got the win today. That was definitely a travel by LeBron James on his last shot attempt at the basket. He blew by Posey and then traveled and through up the shot. He could've made that and it would've been a tie ball game but thankfully he missed.

Ouch...LeBron definately didn't do that well, but if he had been on his game as he usually is, the Celtics would have lost for sure. Still looking for the Cavaliers win eventually.

Also, go Hornets! Beat those damned dirty cheaters!

LeBron gets most of his energy and shooting accuracy from the massive energy the home crowd gives him, so it's not a big shocker they lost. From the looks of it, Detroit is going to make the East finals, and that's why I'm rooting for Boston. I normally don't, but we've already seen what a Detroit/Cleveland East finals looks like, and Boston/Detroit will be exciting.

The cavs in any finals is a sign of an unjust world.

If they get to the finals again, watch them be swept by a west team again. LeBron+0 talented back up does not equal championship.

God, they got rid of Larry Hughes who was actually pretty decent.

I think you are wildly underestimating the talent the Hornets have. Peja was an MVP candidate in recent memory before injuries and the fact that the Kings unloaded him for no real reason. David West is basically a 20/9 player. Chandler is one of the best defensive centers in basketball (arguably the best) They have great role players as well. (Pargo, Peterson, Chandler)

In my mind, Kobe and Paul are equally deserving, and it just so happened that Kobe got it.

first team is very hard for anybody to argue with, maybe amare over howard, but i cant say i agree with that thought, howard was a beast. Seriously this league is retarded for deron williams not being an all star, he's on the ALL NBA 2nd TEAM and wasnt even an all star. He made the 2nd team quite easily too. The team's look good to me, a little suprised iverson or melo arent there, but i agree with the choices, im just suprised their not there cause their favorites over the league.

The "snubs" seem to be iverson, melo, butler, jamison, bosh, and baron davis mostly. You could argue a couple others as well like pau gasol and billups. Overrall looks like a solid list to me.

edit: no idea why this is all bold, its stuck, w/e

I'd like either Iverson or Davis over Ginobli, or Jamison/Melo over Boozer. Yao has been injured, dunno why he's there.

cavs over celtics in 6. you know we're splitting the first two in boston, and no one is beating us in cleveland.

well at least you could still be half right ;)

but seriously now, speaking as the celts fan i am, i can say im not saying this series is over, far from over possibly for a few reasons. First off just think of the 1st round vs Atlanta, going up 2-0 at home, then falling back losing the next 2, its proven it can happen. Also its hard to disregard how Lebron and Cleveland plays better at home, while the celtics were clearly the better team the first two games, that could change simply with homecourt advantage. Lastly there is the history of Lebron's takeover of the Eastern Conference Finals vs Detroit just last year. Going down 0-2, then winning 4 games straight getting momentum in their home games.

Even after all this, i believe the celtics should win this series. As i've said time and time again the celtics are the best team in the NBA as long as we keep our turnovers down, the stupid ones not the good one's forced by opposing defenses. The next two games in Cleveland could be some very good basketball games.

Bleh, Hornets should of won that.

But whatever. I still believe my Hornets will win the series.

CP3 was great, again.

He got it, because remember he was very, very unhappy with the Lakers during the preseason, but he transformed the team into the best they've been since Shaq.

I hate it whenever everyone jumps on the make teammates better fad that the media seems to throw around. Kobe did not make his teammates any better, Sasha, Odom, Bynum all upped their games this year and when Bynum went down they traded Crummy Brown for Pau Gasol and basically got back the inside presence they lost. I still think Paul should have gotten MVP.

Personally, I think LeBron James should have had MVP. Kobe exelled on a team full of talent, but LeBron exelled even though he had a rubbish supporting cast.
