Well it comes as little suprise that Utah have won their first home game of the series, considering their record during the regular season. I can see this series going to 6 or 7 games, but I think that Lakers will have the edge in the end.

Looks like Mike D'Antoni is going for New York. Hopefully we can get someone good. Anyone who hasn't gotten fired this year maybe?

Definately picking the Lakers to win it all this year. They have a solid team, and Kobe is by far the best player in the league. Finally getting the MVP he deserves, and people can now shut the fuck up about Lebron, Michael Jordan, etc. being so much better than him... Go Lakers...

You could well be right, they have got all the assests they need, including a great superstar and supporting cast. Hornets, however, may also be in with a chance, providing they can beat spurs in the current series.

yep

time for the cleveland cavaliers bullshit machine to get going

about 5 missed cleveland fouls and that flop "offensive foul" was ridiculous

sorry boston fans, you're not winning this one.

how are the celtics not going to win? cleveland is shooting horribly, and lebron james was shut down in two straight games.

Well, looks like things just got worse for the Suns...D'Antoni has all but left for New York apparently.

Such a shame...to be honest, I'm not that sure about the Suns' future now. And at the same time, makes you wonder about D'Antoni's future and why he took the Knicks job, seeing as how most of their players definately do not fit into his play and coaching style...

*goes to mourn over what could have been*

Perhaps the Suns should consider Avery Johnson. It could be like what Rick Adelman did to the Rockets.

what a boring round, if everyone follows script and only win home games, then we might as well declare lakers over hornets in 7, celtics over pistons in 7 and then celtics over lakers in 7 =/

Home teams are like 13-1 in this round, I agree that it is freaking boring. I think that the next couple of games are going to change though. First off, I think the celts grab their first road win of the playoffs in Game 4. The big three will finally step up. I think the Lakers can't win in Utah, so I say they win that series in 7. I think the young Hornets (although currently the team I want to win the most) are going to be to rattled after being blown out in the 4th quarter of Game 3, and Game 4. Even though I hate the spurs and want to see them lose, I think they'll take it in 6. In the east, the magic are finished in 5, and I believe the Celtics will win in 5 and at most 6.

What's with the Boston Celtic's huge gap in points allowed between home games and road games? It's 75 and 100, respectively.

The announcers brought it up during Game 3 Boston Celtics at Cleveland Cavaliers.

but seriously now, speaking as the celts fan i am, i can say im not saying this series is over, far from over possibly for a few reasons. First off just think of the 1st round vs Atlanta, going up 2-0 at home, then falling back losing the next 2, its proven it can happen. Also its hard to disregard how Lebron and Cleveland plays better at home, while the celtics were clearly the better team the first two games, that could change simply with homecourt advantage. Lastly there is the history of Lebron's takeover of the Eastern Conference Finals vs Detroit just last year. Going down 0-2, then winning 4 games straight getting momentum in their home games.

Even after all this, i believe the celtics should win this series. As i've said time and time again the celtics are the best team in the NBA as long as we keep our turnovers down, the stupid ones not the good one's forced by opposing defenses. The next two games in Cleveland could be some very good basketball games.

fuck me

the celts better fucking win

Hehe! I got the Magic-Pistons series right. Honestly though, that was the easiest series to predict out of all the 2nd round series.

Orlando has quite a lot of expiring contracts on their roster; iirc, Evans, Arroyo, Garrity, and Augustine are all expiring contracts. And they have two with player options, Foyle and someone else I forgot. :x

What do you guys think they are gonna do this offseason? I think they really need a good big man to complement Dwight Howard. Him being the sole low post presence for the Magic is going to leave them a sure defeat at the hands of the Pistons. With the number 22 pick in the draft, the possible big men available around that position (w/o reaching too much), according to mock drafts are Kosta Koufos and Roy Hibbert...

I thought that the difference between the two teams in terms of skill would make this a quick series and I was right. I also thought that Cleveland-Boston would be a quick series, but I was wrong there.

As to Orlando, I'm assuming they will make a trade for a half-decent PF, in return for some of their less used players.
