Uhh I believe stuff like KyuB which its STAB doesn't hit hard enough. Think Latis, and whatnot. In general however HP Fire is a better alternative if you don't need dgleam

The Winner for Week 16 goes to Sablenite's Rest+3 Attacks Shaymin! Congratz for entering the Hall of Fame :]

The Pokemon for Week 17 is Kyurem!
/

For those wondering why I didn't do an Ice Type for Christmas, the reason is that Shaymin is representing the Mistletoe mostly used in the Christmas Holiday (Clever). Anyway now that Winter is here (in the Northern Hemisphere) here is the Ice Type you've been wanting, Kyurem. Kyurem is a very interesting Pokemon as it is the only Pokemon so far to Fuse with other Pokemon, more specifically Zekrom and Reshiram, Pokemon from the Ubers tier. During it's Fusion Kyurem gains a great 80 BST boost and making it's moves into Fusion Bolt and Freeze Shock with Kyurem-Black, or Fusion Flare and Freeze Burn with Kyurem-White. However Kyurem-White is banned making it not allowed into OU (so in other words you can't use it). Kyurem-Black having just as much power does have some flaws making it stay OU, such as Kyurem can't learn Physical Ice moves such as Ice Shard and Icicle Crash making it have to run Ice Beam for Ice Type STAB. Fun Fact: Kyurem has higher Special Attack than Kyurem-Black...

Kyurem doesn't have any movesets for OU so feel free with Creativity, however Kyurem-Black does so check it's Smogdex before submitting a set for it.

Band Kyurem-B

Kyurem-Black @ Choice Band
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 8 SpD / 248 Spe
Adamant / Lonely Nature
- Outrage
- Fusion Bolt
- Ice Beam / Facade
- Iron Head

Since Kyurem-B has a massive base 170 attack, Choice Band is actually decent on it. Because of this attack stat, most defensive oriented pokemon get almost 2HKO'd by Band Kyurem-B. These include Chansey, Slowbro, MSab, etc. Offensive mons such as Keldeo, Mega Lopunny, just get annihilated and drop. With the power of Outrage, almost nothing can switch-in to it. Even bulky steels like Bisharp or Scizor take massive amounts of damage. Fusion Bolt is for pokemon like Azumarill, and just an excellent and powerful coverage move. Facade is really unique, and can be utilized to absorb a status move then proceed to kill. Iron Head is mostly for Clefable, and other fairy types. Ice Beam can be used for bulky grounds such as Hippowdon, or Lando-T. If so, use a Lonely nature. The EV Spread was chosen for a fast, yet power Kyurem-Black. Using spike stacking builds with Band Kyurem-B would be the best choice, to always guarantee a possible OHKO.
252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Outrage vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mega Sableye: 244-288 (80.2 - 94.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Outrage vs. 4 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 523-616 (81.4 - 95.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Outrage vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Keldeo: 432-508 (133.3 - 156.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Outrage vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Bisharp: 196-231 (72.3 - 85.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Fusion Bolt vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Bisharp: 219-258 (80.8 - 95.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-B Fusion Bolt vs. 248 HP / 16+ Def Mega Scizor: 147-174 (42.8 - 50.7%) -- 2.3% chance to 2HKO

Subroost phaser regular Kyurem

Kyurem @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 56 HP / 248 SpA / 204 Spe
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Roost
- Ice Beam
- Dragon Tail

While not officially a set on the OU analysis, standard subroost Kyurem (with earth power or toxic in the last slot) is the set it's ranked for, so I didn't want to just post that. The problem with subroost though is that it invites sweepers to set up all over you, and it's also a momentum drain, which is where dragon tail comes in, to phase a sweeper, rack up hazard damage, and gain momentum.

Subroost Kyurem is a great PP-staller with pressure, sub absorbs status and attacks while depleting the PP of moves such as Ferrothorn's gyro ball and Latios' draco meteor, with roost to recover the sub damage. Ice beam for powerful and reliable STAB with great coverage to take out a threat once its moves have been depleted (or to punch holes in general). 56 HP EVs gives you 101 HP subs to not get broken by seismic toss, and the speed outspeeds neutral base 100s, the mons that speed creep them, and max speed Lando-T.

Sub Freeze Shock Kyurem-B

P.S. Freeze Shock is mentioned in the analysis but not listed on the dex in the page about Kyurem-B and its movepool (look at there http://www.smogon.com/dex/xy/pokemon/kyurem-black/).

Kyurem-Black @ Leftovers
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 56 HP / 216 Atk / 236 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Freeze Shock
- Fusion Bolt
- Dragon Claw

This is the Substitute attacker set but with the addition of Freeze Shock (a sort of Sub+Focus Punch but with different priority) and the fact that it is only physical instead of mixed. Dragon Claw replaces the more useful "Teravolt/Mold Breaker" Earth Power (it is a shame it lacks Earthquake) to cover both Fire and Steel types together but this allows us to use a simpler Evs spread focused on the physical side and often Earth Power is already dropped to use Roost.

EVs are the same: 56 HP EVs give Kyurem-B 404 HP, ensuring that Chansey's Seismic Toss will not break Kyurem-B's Substitute in a single hit. 236 EVs in Speed allow Kyurem-B to outspeed fully invested base 80 Speed Pokemon, while the remaining EVs are placed into Attack alongside an Adamant nature to make Kyurem-B hit as hard as possible.

Kyurem @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 52 HP / 224 SpA / 232 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Roost
- Ice Beam
- Draco Meteor

I've been using Kyu a fair chunk recently and this is the set I've been using. Sub and Roost allow it to pp stall the various low PP moves that it lures, including Gyro Ball, Stone Edge, Superpower, Focus Blast etc., while also benefitting from Pressure's ability to cause problems for mons trying to spam Hydro Pump. However, the reason I like this set more than other sets on this thing is because of its ability to act as a soft check to Manaohy. While normal Kyurem can usually switch in, it doesn't usually have anything that it can really do back aside from spamming Sub until Manaphy decides to use TG. This is why I like running Draco, which is able to severely dent Manaphy and make it much easier for teammates to handle later on.

With the given EVs, Kyurem is able to make 101 hp subs and outpace anything creeping stuff that creeps Lando, with an extra point for the sake of MegaChomp.

Choice Specs Kyurem

Kyurem-B @ Choice Specs
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power Fire
- Earth Power
- Draco Meteor / Dragon Pulse

With Specs Kyurem-B can outpower what can even try to check it, such as Clefable, scoring a real close 2HKO on it and it's other few checks. Draco Meteor is a literal nuke, ain't shit but Fairies safe when you click it. Hidden Power Fire is used so it can eliminate Steel-types itself so it can spam Draco Meteor and Ice Beam like it'd want. Earth Power is for Heatran of course. Dragon Pulse could be ran in place of Draco Meteor is you're lame and Flash Cannon has some merit.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 144+ SpD Mega Sableye: 249-294 (81.9 - 96.7%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 84+ SpD Clefable: 220-259 (55.8 - 65.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Power

Icy Wind Kyurem-B

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 20 Atk / 252 SpA / 236 Spe
Mild Nature
- Icy Wind
- Earth Power
- Fusion Bolt
- Ice Beam / Roost

Icy Wind allows Kyurem-Black to stay in and KO enemies it's normally forced to switch out of, such as Mega Metagross, Mega Lopunny, Mega Diancie, scarf Hoopa-U, and Terrakion. It's a middle ground between the Scarf set's Speed and the Life Orb set's power and move switching.

A very niche set, but with Kyurem-B's shallow movepool it's something to consider.

Sub Petaya Kyurem
Kyurem @ Petaya Berry
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power/Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire]

So dis set is pretty obvious on how to play. U set sub up till u get the boost or hazards can also get u into the boost range. Ice beam is just for stab and to hit the bulky ground types. Ice beam at +1 2HKO clef. Earth power to hit steel types like heatran. HP fire for mons like Ferrothorn, Scizor,etc.+1 Ice Beam also 2HKO's Utility mega sableye. Basically at +1 dis hits like a truck. Or u can use Dragon Pulse for Stab and to hit rotom-w, gengar, etc.(Thanks Sablenite for pointing the mistake)

+1 252 SpA Kyurem Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 84+ SpD Clefable: 201-237 (51 - 60.1%) -- 88.3% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252 SpA Kyurem Ice Beam vs. 96 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Tornadus-T: 320-380 (99 - 117.6%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
+1 252 SpA Kyurem Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 136 SpD Mega Sableye: 174-205 (57.4 -
67.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 SpA Kyurem Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Alakazam: 229-271 (91.2 - 107.9%) -- 50% chance to OHKO

Regular Kyruem Lacks Treavolt so earth power cannot hit the stuff in bold.

KidMagic regular kyurem is better suited for the choice specs role due to its higher satk

kyurem-b @ life orb
ability: teravolt
evs: 252 (s)atk / 4 sdef / 252 spe
naughty nature
- ice beam
- dragon claw
- shadow claw / shadow ball
- roost

usually with a physically based mix with dragon claw, you forgo roost, but this one keeps it except your coverage now involves shadow claw / ball. not much to say, it hits a wide range and pairs quite nicely with magnezone. iron head is still an option if you don't care about roost to hit clefable

Sub + Hone Claws Kyurem-B

Kyurem-Black @ Leftovers / Dragon Fang
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 56 HP / 216 Atk / 236 Spe
Adamant / Lonely Nature
- Substitute
- Hone Claws
- Outrage / Dragon Claw
- Iron Head / Ice Beam / Fusion Bolt

Substitute protects Kyurem from weaker attacks and status ailments, giving it plenty of opportunities to set up Hone Claws. Outrage is chosen as the primary STAB move, but Dragon Claw can be run instead if Confusion is a problem.

The last move depends on Iron Head hits Fairies, which otherwise wall this set, super-effectively, Ice Beam is Kyurem-B's most reliable STAB move, and Fusion Bolt hits bulky Water- and Flying-types.

56 HP EVs allow Kyurem to create 101 HP Substitutes.

Infernal

Banned deucer.
Kyurem-Black
@ Chople Berry
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 56 Atk / 252 SpA / 200 Spe
Mild Nature
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Fusion Bolt
- Hidden Power Fire or Iron Head

Item twist! Kyurem-B is often the target of powerful fighting attacks from several Pokemon. Mega Lopunny, Specs Keldeo, and LO Breloom's Mach Punch are some examples. Strong special attackers like Gengar, Thundurus-I, and Mega Alakazam also fall under this category, as they have good chances to KO Kyurem-B with Focus Blast. With Chople Berry, you can survive these hits. You can then retaliate back with the appropriate move and either kill or weaken those Pokemon, opening them up for something else on your team. For example, if Specs Keldeo comes in expecting to kill Kyurem-B with Secret Sword and gets surprised by Chople Berry, you can Fusion Bolt it and soften it up significantly for another teammate like Mega Scizor to kill later. In this way, it can serve as a useful lure or emergency button against certain threats. The main downside to this set is the loss in power without LO. This aside, the moves/EVs are self explanatory, and the choice between HP Fire and Iron Head is up to what you prefer hitting.
252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Chople Berry Kyurem-B: 231-273 (59 - 69.8%) - guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Mega Lopunny High Jump Kick vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Chople Berry Kyurem-B: 246-289 (62.9 - 73.9%) - guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Life Orb Technician Breloom Mach Punch vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Chople Berry Kyurem-B: 142-169 (36.3 - 43.2%) - guaranteed 3HKO

252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Chople Berry Kyurem-B: 186-220 (47.5 - 56.2%) - 82.4% chance to 2HKO

Kyurem-Black @ Salac Berry
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 20 Atk / 252 SpA / 236 Spe
Mild Nature
- Substitute
- Endeavor
- Ice Beam
- Fusion Bolt

Substitute + Endeavor Kyurem-Black could be extremely useful if you want your specially-based Kyurem-Black to be able to beat a few pokemon that it has trouble breaking through; such as Clefable, Chansey, Mew, Mega-Scizor, and Slowbro. Endeavor is a very unexpected move, especially coming from Kyurem-Black, as it is usually holding Choice Scarf or Life Orb. Endeavor is guaranteed to surprise your opponent because it cuts the foe's HP to equal that of the user. Substitute allows Kyurem-Black to avoid being afflicted with status while lowering its health to maximize Endeavor damage and activate its Salac Berry. Try to masquerade as if Kyurem-Black is choice locked before revealing Substitute, to improve its chances of catching your opponent off-guard. With the Salac Berry you could also reach and try to basically KO another pokemon with Endeavor. Again this moveset is only for teams that have trouble with specific Kyurem-Black checks and would rather adjust Kyurem-Black's moveset, than replacing something else on the team.

Hail Choice Scarf Kyurem

Kyurem @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid / Modest / Hasty Nature

- Blizzard
- Ice Beam
- Draco Meteor / Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast / Earth Power / Outrage

On specific hail teams, Kyurem is an excellent asset when equipped with a Choice Scarf, since it becomes a good revenge killer and can abuse Blizzard with little impunity. Kyurem is hard to switch into even with a Scarf because Draco Meteor severely damages almost anything that doesn't resist Blizzard, while Focus Blast OHKOes Tyranitar and 2HKOes Ferrothorn and Heatran. When hail is not up, Ice Beam still has a good amount of power and allows Kyurem to revenge kill +1 DD users as well as stuff like Mega Aero and Sceptile.

Earth Power can be used over Focus Miss to OHKO Heatran and get 2HKOes on Jirachi and Mega Meta, while Dragon Pulse can be used over Draco Meteor for consistency. Outrage can be used to 2HKO Chansey after its Eviolite has been knocked off.
